Abstract

Raw material inventory is unprocessed basic material provided by the company for later use in the company's production process. Raw materials are important in production companies. Limited or excess supplies of raw materials can be a problem for the company. A shortage of raw materials can result in problems with company activities, especially in the production process, while excess supplies of raw materials can lead to excessive costs in maintaining raw materials and the value of raw materials will decrease over time (Anista & Widiyastuti, 2016). The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. According to Winartha (2006: 155), the quantitative descriptive method is analyzing, describing and summarizing various conditions and situations from various data in the form of numbers collected from the results of analysis and interviews or observations regarding the problems being studied that occur in the field. Based on the calculation results, the optimal quantity of raw material orders for the Djamoe Van Java business is 10 Kg. Based on the results of the research and discussion described previously, it can be concluded that to obtain optimal raw material inventory management for the Djamoe Van Java business, the quantity The economic purchase (EOQ) that the company must provide is 10 kg. The results of calculations that have been carried out in Total Inventory Cost (TIC) show that after implementing an appropriate and optimal inventory control system, the company can save costs of IDR 150,000. Companies should determine Reorder Points in carrying out raw material inventory control to anticipate possible delays in ordering raw materials.

Abstract

The advancement of science and technology has intensified global economic competition, often marginalizing community-based economic systems, such as cooperatives. Despite their constitutional role as pillars of Indonesia’s national economy, cooperatives in Palu City struggle with internal and external challenges, weakening their competitiveness. While prior studies have examined cooperative strategies generically, this research introduces novelty by developing type-specific competitiveness models for savings and loan, service, consumer, and producer cooperatives in Palu City, integrating SWOT analysis with Porter’s Generic Strategy and 2020 Indonesian Cooperative Empowerment Policies a framework underexplored in existing literature. Used a qualitative descriptive approach, 57 cooperatives were analyzed via purposive sampling, focusing on digitally adaptive and policy-aligned strategies. Findings reveal distinct strategies for each type: savings and loan cooperatives require aggressive digitalization and market expansion; service cooperatives need cost leadership and operational improvements; consumer cooperatives benefit from market network diversification and e-marketing; and producer cooperatives must prioritize branding and real-time bookkeeping. These tailored strategies address gaps in prior studies, which often overlook business-type heterogeneity. The study’s implications extend to policymakers and cooperative managers, advocating for targeted interventions aligned with local conditions and national policies. Future research should evaluate the implementation efficacy of these models longitudinally and across regions to validate their adaptability.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the implementation of green supply chain management (GSCM) at Ummi Home Bakery, Palu City. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate the initial implementation of GSCM through collaboration with local suppliers, tote bag use initiatives, and plastic reduction. In addition, product design was identified as not optimal for efficiency, and production was still manual or semi-automatic. Post-consumer packaging constraints also hamper product recycling, but hazardous materials are avoided and expired products are withdrawn. Waste is dumped into rivers or given to farmers with distribution problems. Another problem is that the integration of GSCM criteria in purchasing and supplier selection is still limited, as is environmental cooperation with customers. Internal environmental management is also not formally structured.
