Abstract

This study aims to optimize raw material inventory control and reduce cost waste at CV Sidomulyo using the linear programming method assisted by POM-QM for Windows software. The data used consists of primary data in the form of inventory quantities and raw material prices and secondary data from company documents. The linear programming method was chosen because it is able to provide an optimal solution in allocating limited resources by considering various existing constraints, making it suitable for inventory efficiency problems. The results of the analysis show that the optimal annual procurement quantities are 150 liters of paint, 20 kg of nails, 24 pcs of glue, and 2,480 sheets of wood or 24.80 m³. The application of this method resulted in cost savings of Rp68,814,500 compared to the previous cost. Theoretically, this research strengthens the application of efficiency and optimization concepts in operations management through a quantitative approach, and proves that linear programming can be used as a strategic tool in inventory decision making. The limitation of this study lies in the scope of data that only covers one production period and has not considered price fluctuations or seasonal demand. The findings are expected to be the basis for further research and practical reference in more efficient inventory management.

Abstract

In competitive markets, innovation capability is critical in enhancing marketing strategies. The present study analyzes the effect of innovation capability on marketing performance outcome with visual aesthetics and positional advantage as mediating variables, and generational cohort as a moderating variable. The population of this study comprised 113 respondents from weaving and batik small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) in Central Sulawesi, who were selected through a census sampling method. The data were collected through the administration of questionnaires and subsequently analyzed using the Smart PLS 4 application to evaluate the relationships in the conceptual model. The findings suggest that innovation capability exerts a negative and non-significant influence on marketing performance. However, visual aesthetics and positional advantage have been shown to significantly enhance the impact of innovation capability on marketing performance. Subsequent findings demonstrate that visual aesthetics significantly enhances positional advantage. The generational cohort substantially moderates the relationship between innovation capability and marketing performance. This study posits that when employed as a marketing strategy, local wisdom can be a source of competitive advantage by leveraging visual elements derived from unique cultural symbols. As evidenced by the study's findings, this approach can be convenient in dynamic marketplaces where imitation is challenging. Generational groups exhibit divergent capacities for innovation within small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which can result in disparities in their ability to attain competitive advantage.

Abstract

This qualitative research focuses on the parties involved in the supply chain, commodity distribution flows, and obstacles encountered in the durian distribution process. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation studies. The results show that the durian supply chain in Bolano Lambunu District involves farmers, collectors, wholesalers, processing factories/exporters, and end consumers, with distribution patterns still relying on traditional systems. Supply chain analysis on this site indicates a distribution system without the involvement of middlemen, allowing wholesalers to provide greater profits to farmers. Improving seed quality, promoting marketing, and strengthening distribution networks are key to developing a more sustainable supply chain. Support from the government and relevant institutions is also needed to improve infrastructure and market access, so that farmers can continue to improve their welfare in durian cultivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze green supply chain activities within the Lore Lindu Biosphere Reserve and the Pipikoro Coffee company. Observations in the reserve area reveal extensive community farming activities, including within conservation zones, yet academic studies on such practices remain limited. At Pipikoro Coffee, the researcher identified a lack of comprehensive analysis regarding the involvement of key supply chain actors—farmers, processors, and consumers—in supporting sustainability initiatives. Using a phenomenological paradigm and a qualitative descriptive approach, this research was conducted at Pipikoro Coffee in South Lolu Village, South Palu District, Palu City, involving 10 informants. Data were analyzed using triangulation techniques and the NVivo 12 Plus software. The findings indicate that Pipikoro Coffee’s green supply chain relies on five interrelated components: suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and customers. Each component functions through inbound, operational, and outbound processes that collectively support sustainable practices. Key elements identified include farmer education, the adoption of eco-friendly roasting technology, and consumer participation in promoting sustainable local products. Overall, this study highlights the importance of deeper exploration into how green supply chain practices are implemented in biosphere reserves and local enterprises, emphasizing their role in aligning conservation goals with sustainable business operations.

Abstract

The implementation of product quality is important in the success of operational activities in tenants fostered by the information technology business incubator. This study aims to analyze the implementation of product quality in the success of operational activities in tenants fostered by the Maleo Techno Center Information Technology Business Incubator. This study was conducted on tenants fostered by the Maleo Techno Center Information Technology Business Incubator by applying a qualitative descriptive method through interviews by assessing eight dimensions of quality according to David A. Garvin. The results of this study indicate that the eight dimensions of quality, namely the dimensions of performance, features, reliability, suitability, durability, service capability, aesthetics, perceived quality have been implemented effectively, but the performance dimension is the most dominant dimension and has a direct influence on operational success. The implementation of product quality in the incubation program not only helps tenant business development, but also creates a sustainable impact.
