Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between teachers and school conditions on school test scores. Correspondence and cluster analysis are the analytical methods used. For school conditions to be classified into 3 clusters, 4 clusters, and 5 clusters, cluster analysis is used. The variable is tested using the G test to determine the affect on school test scores. This study resulted in a variable that has an impact on school test scores, school conditions with a p-value < α, so a correspondence analysis plot was formed to show the correlation between school conditions and school test scores. Good school conditions will result in good school test scores. Meanwhile, a reasonably good school conditions will result in fairly good school test scores. The correlation of school test scores with teachers shows that good school test scores are resulted by teachers with very good quality. Fairly good school test scores are resulted by good and fairly good teachers. Meanwhile, poor school test scores are resulted by teachers with poor quality. Keywords: School test scores, teacher, school conditions, correspondence analysis, and cluster analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of teaching motivation and school facilities on the professional competence of high school mathematics teachers because teaching motivation is something important to consider in reviewing the performance of a teacher, as well as facilities owned by schools, completeness of facilities at schools will optimize the learning process in class. In reviewing the effect of teaching motivation and school facilities on professional competence, an inferential analysis using multiple regression. This research type is a survey with a population all of high school mathematics teachers in Pekanbaru City. Questionnaires for teaching motivation and school facilities, as well as tests in the form of multiple choice and non-test in the form of questionnaires to measure professional competence were instruments in this study. The data for this study obtained from 33 high school mathematics teachers in Pekanbaru City, 33 fellow teachers, and 909 high school students in Pekanbaru City. The result show that teaching motivation affects the professional competence of teachers and school facilities do not affect professional competence.

Abstract

Mathematics learning can have an impact on the development of one's mindset in the learning environment. This process is obtained through teacher innovation which provides learning with various methods and approaches that are in line with what will be taught. Inductive-deductive is an approach that can help students' creative thinking processes and increase learning motivation. For this reason, this study wanted to see how effective and influential this approach is on the ability to think creatively and motivation to learn. The method used is a significant test using one sample t-test and one paired sample t-test. The results obtained are t-count values of 2.09 and 10.66 for the inductive-deductive class and -0.848 and -0.94 for the conventional class where the t-table value is 1.684. Whereas to see the effect of the approach obtained values of 6.149 and 6.344 with a t-table of 1.960. The value that is greater than the t-table states that the class is effective and has influence, so it can be concluded that the inductive-deductive approach is effective for critical thinking skills and learning motivation, while conventional classes are not used effectively. The inductive-deductive approach also influences students' creative thinking abilities and learning motivation.

Abstract

This research study and provide the property of super edge-magic total labelings of theta graph. Edge magic labeling on a graph  is an injective function   from  to a subset of integers { } with the property that there is a positive integer  such as  for each . An edge-magic labeling  is called super edge-magic total labeling if it satisfies . A graph is called (super) edge-magic total if it admits some (super) edge-magic total labeling. A theta graph  is constructed by embedding the endpoints of three paths of length consecutive  such that there are two vertices of degree three and the other of degree two. This study gave some conditions for such a super edge-magic total of theta graph. Based on this condition, this paper introduce some algorithms to apply and develop super edge-magic total labeling from some previous theta graphs.

Abstract

: A quality education can provide space for students to acquire relevant knowledge, useful skills, and character building needed to face challenges and competition in the future. Based on monitoring and interviews with teachers at SMAN 1 Dewantara, the mathematics learning process at the school has not maximized the use of learning applications during the learning process. In response to these problems, in this service activity, training on mathematics learning applications was carried out for teachers of SMAN 1 Dewantara with the aim of improving teacher skills and becoming a reference for teachers in maximizing student potential in using IT-based mathematics learning media. The training method is carried out with inquiry or direct practice so as to support the teacher's direct experience during the learning process.  The result of this service activity is that teachers are able to use math learning applications so that later it is hoped that this application can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Kualitas pendidikan menjadi kunci utama dalam menghasilkan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten. Salah satu cara untuk memperoleh kualitas pendidikan yang memadai yaitu dengan meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif. Cooperative learning tipe problem posing bisa menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan hal tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Malikussaleh pada mata kuliah Pemecahan Masalah Matematis dengan jumlah mahasiswa sebanyak 21 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan tes. Data hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa diperoleh dari hasil tes kognitif mahasiswa secara individu. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data maka diperoleh, 95,24% mahasiswa mencapai skor minimum dan dominan pada rentang 92-100 yang berarti memberi dampak pada hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa. Untuk nilai perkembangan individu terlihat 12 dari 21 mahasiswa memperoleh nilai perkembangan 30, dapat dipahami bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa di setiap siklusnya. Pada nilai perkembangan kelompok, di siklus I terdapat 1 kelompok super dan di siklus II terdapat 3 kelompok super yang berarti bahwa peningkatan nilai individu memberi dampak pada peningkatan nilai perkembangan kelompok. Maka berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa cooperative learning tipe problem posing mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Pemecahan Masalah Matematis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan model eliciting aktivities terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ulasan dari gender pada siswa SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain yang digunakan adalah non-equivalent posttest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X dengan sampel yang dipilih 2 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel pada penelitian adalah kelas X8 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah tes kemampuaan komunikasi matematis siswa.Dari hasil analisis data posttest yang diuji menggunakan uji non parametrik Mann Whitney dengan bantuan software IBM SPSS 25, diperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,078 > 0,05 berarti Ho diterima. Maka tidak terdapat pengaruh pendekatan MEA terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa review dari gender pada siswa SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe dan hasil pengujian product moment memperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) yaitu 0,695 > 0,005 berarti Ho diterima, maka tidak terdapat hubungan antara pendekatan MEAs dan gender terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe.

Abstract

Every household and culinary business in Reuleut Timu Village produces waste cooking oil every day when cooking for daily needs. This waste cooking oil is generally thrown into waterways or the ground. This habit has the potential to cause environmental pollution and can damage the lives of several living communities in rivers and disrupt soil quality. The Malikussaleh University Community Service Team, consisting of three lecturers and two students, has designed a community development program through the use of waste cooking oil into washing soap in Reuleut Timu Village, Muara Batu District, North Aceh Regency. This activity aims to improve community skills by processing waste cooking oil into products of economic value. It is hoped that this will help create a knowledgeable Reuleut Timu Village community, as well as improve community skills, especially for housewives. The main aim is to provide education and training to the community, especially mothers who interact directly with the use of waste cooking oil, regarding the risks and how to manage it. After training, washing soap is produced from waste cooking oil which can be used for daily needs. Setiap rumah tangga dan usaha kuliner di Desa Reuleut Timu, menghasilkan minyak jelantah setiap harinya saat memasak untuk keperluan sehari-hari. Minyak jelantah ini umumnya dibuang ke dalam saluran air atau tanah. Kebiasaan ini berpotensi menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan dan dapat merusak kehidupan beberapa komunitas makhluk hidup di sungai serta mengganggu kualitas tanah. Tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Malikussaleh, yang terdiri dari tiga dosen dan dua mahasiswa telah merancang program pembinaan masyarakat melalui pemanfaatan minyak jelantah menjadi sabun cuci di Desa Reuleut Timu, Kecamatan Muara Batu, Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk dan meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat melalui pengolahan minyak jelantah menjadi produk yang bernilai ekonomis. Hal ini diharapkan dapat membantu mewujudkan masyarakat Desa Reuleut Timu yang berpengetahuan, serta meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat, terutama bagi ibu-ibu rumah tangga. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan kepada masyarakat, terutama ibu-ibu yang berinteraksi langsung dengan penggunaan minyak jelantah, mengenai risiko dan cara pengelolaannya. Setelah dilakukan pelatihan, maka dihasilkan sabun cuci dari minyak jelantah yang dapat digunakan dalam kebutuhan sehari-hari.

Abstract

The need for learning media that supports learning outcomes and can increase student motivation in the learning process, so that the development of learning videos becomes an alternative because it helps students to understand the concepts of the material presented. This research aims to test the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the developed learning media. This type of research is called research and development. The method used is Borg and Gall, which have been modified. However, in this study, this research is limited to the development stage. The validity of the media is assessed through a questionnaire given to 4 experts, 2 media experts and 2 material experts. Based on the validation results by media experts and material experts, ratings of 82% and 80% were obtained respectively. Therefore, the learning video is declared valid. Based on the test results of 83 students, it was found that 78.31% of students achieved a minimum grade of B with effective criteria. Furthermore, based on the practicality test from the student response questionnaire, a score of 83.43% was obtained. This means that the learning media is valid and practical to use. Thus, this learning media can be declared valid, effective, and practical, and it has benefits in supporting the linear algebra course. Therefore, this media can support the learning process in class becomes more enjoyable.

Abstract

Kemampuan metakognisi berhubungan erat dengan konsep High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), di mana siswa tidak hanya memahami konsep tetapi juga harus mampu menerapkan pengetahuan secara kritis, analitis, reflektif, metakognitif, dan kreatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan metakognisi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi tes tertulis, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian dipilih dari kelas XI-6 dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dan dipilih 11 siswa dari seluruh subjek dengan berbagai tingkatan kemampuan metakognisi berdasarkan hasil jawaban siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan metakognisi siswa kelas XI-6 SMAN Modal Bangsa Arun dalam menyelesaikan soal High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) berada pada tingkatan strategic use atau level cukup pada tingkatan metakognisi. Sebanyak 47% atau 14 dari 30 siswa menunjukkan kemampuan metakognisi yang cukup untuk menyelesaikan soal HOTS dengan baik.
