Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia has significant natural potential in the tourism sector, one of which is the Kapuas River located in West Kalimantan Province. The Muara Kapuas Swimming Pool, situated along the banks of the Kapuas River, has the potential to be developed to support the growth of the tourism sector. This study discusses the redesign efforts of the Muara Kapuas Swimming Pool in Pontianak into a waterpark-based facility to increase the number of attractions, improve facility quality, and optimize the existing resources. The design method applied is a redesign approach consisting of preparation, data collection, analysis, concept synthesis, final design, and evaluation stages, based on redesign theory, tourism principles, and waterpark standards. The analysis results indicate the need for enhancements to main attractions, optimization of supporting and complementary facilities, as well as development of site massing and design concepts inspired by the Muara Kapuas philosophy and its functional requirements. This redesign is expected to establish the Muara Kapuas Swimming Pool as a waterpark-based tourist destination that can further contribute to the growth of regional tourism.

Abstract

Indonesia, as an archipelagic country, holds great potential in the tourism sector, particularly coastal tourism. Sambas Regency in West Kalimantan, with its natural beauty and scenic beaches, possesses significant potential to be developed into a leading tourist destination. However, several challenges hinder tourism development in the region, such as the lack of facilities, inadequate infrastructure, and insufficient promotion. Although there has been an increase in tourist visits, beach management in Sambas Regency remains unprofessional, and many beaches are equipped with limited amenities. This situation highlights the need to design a more optimized coastal tourism area with complete facilities, including primary, supporting, and complementary infrastructure. The goal of this spatial planning is to create a comfortable, safe, and attractive coastal tourism area by developing facilities that meet the needs of visitors. The design method employed is based on Richard Whitaker's design approach, which comprises the following stages: identification, definition, preparation, analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and re-evaluation. The results of the design process indicate that integrating the components of attraction, amenity, accessibility, and ancillary services can enhance the quality of the area while also supporting the sustainable economic empowerment of the local community.

Abstract

Postoperative pain is a common problem experienced by patients after cesarean section and can hinder early mobilization, delay recovery, and reduce maternal comfort during the early postpartum period. Therefore, effective pain management is crucial and should not rely solely on pharmacological therapy, but also include safe and effective non-pharmacological nursing interventions. The novelty of this study lies in the implementation of structured and gradual early mobilization as an independent nursing intervention to reduce pain intensity in post-cesarean section patients at Ali Sibroh Malisi Hospital. This study aims to determine the effect of early mobilization on reducing pain intensity in post-cesarean section patients. A quantitative research method with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest approach was conducted. The sample consisted of 70 post-cesarean section patients selected through purposive sampling based on predetermined inclusion criteria. Pain intensity was measured before and after the intervention using a Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), which has demonstrated acceptable validity and reliability. Early mobilization was carried out in a structured and gradual manner according to patient tolerance. Data were analyzed using appropriate statistical tests to compare the average pain intensity before and after the intervention. The results showed a statistically significant reduction in pain intensity after early mobilization (p 0.05), indicating the effectiveness of this intervention in managing postoperative pain. In conclusion, early mobilization significantly reduces pain intensity in post-cesarean section patients and is recommended as a routine nursing intervention to accelerate recovery and improve the quality of nursing care.

Abstract

The Riam Ampangk Waterfall Tourism Area in Pisak Village, Tujuhbelas District, Bengkayang Regency has high ecological and topographical potential. However, the condition of the facilities, infrastructure, and environment within the existing Riam Ampangk Waterfall Tourism Area does not yet meet the minimum tourism business requirements as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia No. 04 of 2021. This study aims to develop a spatial planning concept for the area that complies with the applicable regulations. The “4A” framework (attraction, accessibility, amenities, ancillary) is used to assess the feasibility of the tourism area. Data were obtained through field observations, interviews, and literature studies, which were then used to formulate zoning, circulation, facility layout, and adaptive structural designs. The main strategies in this arrangement include providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, ensuring that built-up areas do not dominate the site, and implementing developments that minimally alter the existing site conditions. This planning is expected not only to enhance the area’s competitiveness but also to serve as a model for architectural site design that attracts tourists while preserving the surrounding natural environment.
