Abstract

Abstract Introduction : The process of recovering people with mental disorders cannot be separated from the role and support of the community. Community social support is very influential for people with mental disorders in undergoing the healing process and restoring the quality of their lives. Purpose: This study is to identify the description of social support for people with mental disorders. Method : Quantitative with descriptive research design. This research was conducted in the South Selatpanjang village area with a sample of 99 respondents. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire with 17 questions consisting of 4 main components, namely, emotional support, instrumental support, informational support, and award support which have been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis used is univariate analysis to describe community social support for people with mental disorders. Results: most of the respondents are late adulthood (34.3%), most of the sexes are 61 people (61.6%), most of them work 84 people (84.8%), Most are married 79 people (79 ,8%). Seta obtained good social support, namely 53 people (53.5%). Conclusion: the results of this study can be used as a reference for the community to continue to provide support for people with mental disorders Abstrak Pendahuluan : Proses pemulihan orang dengan gangguan jiwa tidak terlepas dari peran dan dukungan dari masyarakat. Dukungan sosial masyarkat sangat berpengaruh bagi orang dengan gangguan jiwa daalam menjalani proses penyembuhan dan pengembalian kualitis hidupnya. Tujuan : penelitian ini untuk mengindetifikasikan gambaran dukungan sosial masyarakat terhadap orang dengan gangguan jiwa. Metode : Kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan diwilayah kelurahan selatpanjang selatan dengan jumlah sampel 99 responden. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah kuesioner sebanyak 17 pertanyaan yang terdiri dari 4 komponen utama yaitu, dukungan emosional, dukungan instrumental, dukungan informasional, dan dukungan penghargaan yang telah di uji validitas dan reabilitasnya. Analisa yang digunakan adalah analisa univariat untuk menggambarkan dukungan sosial masyarakat terhadap orang dengan gangguan jiwa. Hasil : sebagian besar umur responden dewasa akhir (34,3%), sebagian besar jenis kelamin laki-laki 61 orang (61,6%), sebagian besar bekerja 84 orang (84,8%), Sebagian besar menikah 79 orang (79,8%). Serta didapatkan dukungan sosial masyarakat yang baik yaitu 53 orang (53,5%). Kesimpulan : Hasil ini disimpulkan bahwa terdapat dukungan sosial baik terhadap orang dengan gangguan jiwa. Hasil penelitian ini menjadi salah satu sumber informasi dalam meningkatkan dukungan sosial masyarakat terhadap orang dengan gangguan jiwa

Abstract

A person with mental disorder is someone who experiences disturbances in thoughts, behaviors and feelings that are manifested in the form of a group of symptoms and cause obstacles in carrying out their functions. People with mental disorders are still discriminated against, ridiculed, shunned, ignored, ostracized and considered a disgrace in the community. This treatment is due to the lack of public knowledge of people with mental disorders. This study aims to determine the relationship of the level of knowledge on people's attitudes in people with mental disorders with a descriptive correlation research design. The research sample was 99 respondents taken based on inclusion criteria using cluster sampling techniques. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire sheet that had been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis used is univariate analysis to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate using chi square test. The results showed that of the 99 respondents who had a good level of knowledge as many as 64 respondents (64.4%), respondents who had a positive attitude were 55 respondents (55.5%). The statistical test results obtained p value = 0,000 ˂ α (0.05), then Ho is rejected, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge of people's attitudes towards people with mental disorders. It is recommended for the community to be able to increase knowledge so as to have a positive attitude to people with mental disorders.

Abstract

Background: Work stress is one of the problem that occured inte new normal era for nurses in working adjustments due to Covid-19. This study aims to describe the level of work stress of hospital nurses in the new normal era. Methods: This research is quantitative descriptive study. The research sample was 113 respondents using total sampling technique. Data collesction used research questionaire Tayyib and Alsolami (2020) which has been modified again by researcher and carried out a validity test with a value range of 0,450-0,795 ≥ r table 0,444 and the reability test get crobac’s alpha 0,923 results with r table 0,444. Results: An overview of the work stress level of hospital nurses in the new normal era who experienced mild work stress was 30 peoples (26,5%), experienced moderate work stress 56 peoples (49,6%) and experienced severe work stress 27 peoples (23,9%). Conclusion: The majority of respondents are at a moderate level of work stress. It is hoped that the hospital management can carry out work stress management training and counseling regarding the pressures by health worker when treating patients in the new normal era to minimize the psychological problems of health worker at work.

Abstract

Introduction: Self injury and the risk of suicide are maladaptive behaviors that can harm a person, this behavior usually occurs due to problems that cannot be solved in an adaptive way so that someone solves the problem with maladaptive behavior. This study aims to determine the description of self injury behavior and the risk of suicide in students. Methodology: This research is descriptive research. The sample in this research came from college students with a total of 392 people and were recruited by the quota random sampling method. The data collection method used a Self-harm Inventory (SHI) questionnaire and an Assessment of Suicidal Intention. Results: This research shows the majority of early adulthood respondent (86.7%), with the most female (77.3%), and the religion of the respondents is Moslem (92.1%). The descriptions of self injury behavior in students is that those who have ever been (31.9%) and those who have never were (68.1%), while the risk of suicide was as many as (26.8%) and never (73.2%). The results for self injury were in the mild (30.9%) and severe (1.0%) categories, while the risk of suicide was in the low (24.5%) and high (2.3%) categories. Conclution: The results for this research shows there’s a few students have ever done self injury with low category and there’s a few students have ever done suicide risk with low category. The researcher hopes the next researcher can do further research on the therapy that can minimalize self injury behavior and the risk of suicide.

Abstract

abstract Introduction: Stigma in society is one of the inhibiting factors in healing people with mental disorders, this is due to the socio-cultural nature of Indonesian society such as the Riau Malay community. This study aims to see the stigma of the Malay community towards people with mental disorders. Methodology: This research is descriptive research. The sample in this study was the Malay community with a total of 280 people and recruited by purposive sampling method. The data collection method uses a community attitude towards the mental illness (CAMI III) questionnaire which is conducted online. Results: This study shows that the majority of respondents are 17-25 years old (27.9%), with the highest gender being male (52.1%), and the last education is SMA/equivalent (48.9%). The image of the community's stigma against ODGJ is that the Malay community is pro against 3 dimensions, namely authoritarianism (55%), virtue (56.1%), and social restrictions (50.7%), while contra with 1 dimension, namely the ideology of the mental health community (52 ,1%). Conclution: The results of this study indicate that the Malay community is pro against 3 dimensions and contra against 1 dimension, namely community ideology. The researcher hopes that this research can be useful for the Malay community as an evaluation of the ideological dimensions of the mental health community.

Abstract

Backgraound : The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in changes in the process of life that can cause mental health problems. Especially individuals who had been in isolation COVID-19, individuals must be limited in their interactions and activities during isolation which causes a change in their situation afterwards. The purpose of this research is to get an overview of the mental health of individuals when they return to the community after isolation due to COVID-19. Methods : This research used a descriptive survey research design. The research sample was 100 respondents who were taken based on inclusion criteria using the snowball sampling technique. Result : The results showed 33 people (33%) had mental health problems. With the most complaints were PTSD symptoms(11%), the other complaints were psychologicalproblems (2%), psychotic symptoms (2%), and there was no indication of the use of addictive substances, but there were individuals who experience more than one mental health problem, the most (8%) experiencing psychological problems, psychotic symptoms and PTSD symptoms,then a psychological problems and PTSD symptoms (5%), psychotic symptoms and PTSD symptoms (4%), psychological and psychotic symptoms (1%). Conclusion : There needs to be further handling of individual mental health conditions after isolation due to COVID-19.
