Abstract

This research aims at studying Arabicization methods to provide counter knowledge for the overuse of transliterated terms and the abundance of Arabic equivalents for a technical term. It further promotes precise methods on how to Arabicize foreign words in the proper way. For this reason, this qualitative research focuses on studying Arabicization methods in traditional and modern Arabic traditions. The data are collected from several Arabic books, journals, and Arabic language academy reports. For the analysis, the inductive analysis approach is mainly employed to drive the general pattern of Arabicization’s methods through interpretation made from the previous discourse on Arabicization. The research concludes that the conventional vocabulary expanding techniques, including al-ishtiqāq, al-tarjamah, al-qiyās, al-naḥt, and al-majāz, are supposedly less effective and inefficient, while al-dakhīl brings only a few advantages but situating the Arabic language contaminated with numerous peculiar terms. Hence, the four methods of Arabicisation, which involve phonetical naturalisation, morphological naturalisation, filtering, and hybrid Arabicization, are fully considered precise methods. These methods play a crucial role in generating new Arabic technical-technological vocabularies that are mainly a product of the West with all its steps. Arabicisation provides more steps of naturalisation properties that arguably can be the best way to accommodate neologism.

Abstract

The rapid transformation of Indonesia's national curriculum from content-based to competency-based frameworks reflects broader global educational trends aimed at fostering interdisciplinary skills and adaptability. However, this transition presents unique challenges for pesantren-based madrasahs, traditional Islamic educational institutions that balance religious education with national academic standards. This study addresses the gap in research on how madrasahs respond to national curriculum changes, focusing on the implementation and challenges faced by Madrasah Tsanawiyah and Madrasah Aliyah Pondok Pesantren Al-Mawaddah in Ponorogo. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Key informants were purposively selected. They included religious leaders (kyai), teachers, alums, and students. Data analysis followed an interactive model consisting of three stages: data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings reveal that while madrasahs implement the national curriculum incrementally, aligning it with traditional Islamic education, they face significant challenges, including increased learning loads, overlapping materials, limited teaching hours, and the dual burden of meeting both national and pesantren-specific evaluation standards. These challenges highlight the tension between maintaining traditional values and adapting to modern educational demands. The study underscores the importance of collaborative policymaking in developing flexible curriculum frameworks and targeted teacher training programs, enabling educators to navigate these complexities. By fostering a process-oriented curriculum that integrates Islamic and general education, pesantren-based madrasahs can better equip graduates with modern competencies while preserving their unique cultural and spiritual identity

Abstract

The low quality and deviant attitudes of educators have led to a decline in the quality of education in Indonesia. Educators, in fact, play a crucial role in building an advanced and high-quality nation. Therefore, educators are expected to develop traits that align with the teachings of the Qur'an, which serves as the primary source of Islamic education. This study aims to identify the traits of ideal educators as outlined in Surah Al-Muddaththir, verses 2-7, according to Nasir al-Din Abu al-Khair Abdullah in his tafsir Anwār At-Tanzīl wa Asrār At-Ta'wīl. Additionally, it seeks to determine how these traits can be implemented by educators in Indonesia to improve the quality of education. The results of this research are expected to contribute significantly to the field of education, especially Islamic education. Moreover, the findings are anticipated to serve as guidelines in the development of educational curricula and policies. This discussion is based on library research, where data is gathered from sources relevant to the topic, including written sources and other literary references. Data collection is conducted using the documentary method, and the analysis is performed using content analysis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using the Critical Incident Method on the learning outcomes of the 3rd -grade Qur'an subjects at SDIT Darul Falah Ponorogo. This study uses a quantitative experimental approach with a True Experimental design because the researchers took illustrations as generalizations of the population with a pre-test and post-test control group design approach, the selection of experimental and control classes were selected systematically so that students' abilities were equivalent by using Nonprobability Sampling (Systematic Sampling). . This research took a sample of 30 students who were randomly selected 15 students in the experimental class and 15 students in the control class. In collecting data using tests and documentation, the data technique was tried through the Mann-Whitney non-parametric test because the data were not normally distributed and not homogeneous and were assisted by the SPSS 22 application. The experimental post-test score of 9.93 was greater than the control class post-test score. 9. 2, which means that there is an effect of learning with the Critical Incident method on student learning outcomes which are described by the Mann-Whitney test of 0.05> 0.000. Based on the results of the study,  shows that the Critical Incident learning method can be used in various institutions in learning the Qur'an Hadith to make the educational process more creative and innovative, and can be used by other researchers in researching  subjects with the same characteristics.

Abstract

This study explores the philosophy of Ta’dib as the foundational framework for the Islamic education system, emphasizing moral and character development alongside intellectual growth. This research employed a literature review method by analyzing classical and contemporary sources to explore key Islamic educational concepts' meanings, implications, and differences, including tarbiyah, ta’lim, and Ta’dib. Through a comprehensive examination of relevant books, journal articles, and scholarly works, the study identified Ta’dib as a holistic concept emphasizing moral and character development in Islamic education. The findings reveal that Ta’dib extends beyond formal education by cultivating individuals with noble morals, ethical conduct, and a deep understanding of Islamic values. Unlike tarbiyah and ta’lim, which focus on knowledge transfer and spiritual development, Ta’dib serves as a comprehensive moral compass for shaping character and guiding behavior. The study highlights the relevance of Ta’dib in addressing contemporary educational challenges, particularly in nurturing ethical leadership and fostering community cohesion. Quranic schools embody Ta’dib-based education and are exemplary models of integrating character formation with Islamic teachings. This research concludes that the philosophy of Ta’dib provides a sustainable and effective framework for Islamic education. It recommends that educational institutions adopt Ta’dib-centered curricula to address students' moral, spiritual, and intellectual needs, ensuring they become responsible individuals who embody Islamic principles daily.
