Abstract

Physical fitness also has a strong relationship with talent and health. Achievement in athletics correlates with other types of success, including other criteria such as physical fitness. This study aims to determine the level of physical fitness of young athletes at the Klaten rookie basketball academy. This descriptive research uses a survey approach. 20 basketball players. Tests and measurements are used in the data collection method. Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI) for the 16-19 year age group. Descriptive statistical analysis research using percentages is a method of data analysis. The results showed that young athletes had a moderate level of physical fitness, with 0 people (0%) having a poor level of physical fitness, 1 person (5%) having a low level of physical fitness, 9 people (45%) having a moderate level of physical fitness , and 0 people (0%) have a very good level of physical fitness. The conclusion is that most of the young athletes have a level of physical fitness which is included in the very good group, with 10 participants (or 50%) having the highest frequency in this field

Abstract

Jump shot in modern basketball is an effective scoring way to overcome pressure of the defender. Fundamental jump shot technique relies on experience and biomechanical analyses. The purpose of this analysis was to evaluate kinematic profile of basketball players based on their experience level during mid-range jump shot. Four experienced basketball players and four less-experienced basketball players participated in the experiment. Jump shot phase was classified into 3 categories: preparatory, action, and follow-through. Angular displacement and angular velocity were measured using three-dimension (3D) motion capture technology. One-way Anova analysis indicated significant differences on several kinematic parameters between groups. On preparatory phase, experienced subject produced larger magnitude for right-shoulder extension (-10.3±14.7Ëš) and produced smaller angular velocity for hips flexion (41.0±11.6Ëš/s). During the action phase, experienced subject produced larger magnitude for right-wrist flexion (-145.9±40.3Ëš), larger angular velocity for right-wrist flexion (-182.8±35.7Ëš/s), larger angular velocity for ankle plantar flexion (-159.5±27.3Ëš/s), and larger angular velocity for right-elbow extension (-149.6±33.3Ëš/s). The findings of this study indicated that improper mechanics of basketball jump shot existed in less-experienced players. To practice jump shot technique, preparatory phase and action phase should be the main emphasis for every coach when deals with less-experienced player.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the effect of L-Arginine amino acid supplementation on oxygen saturation and lactic acid levels at the fitness level (VO2Max) of West Kalimantan muaythai athletes. High lactic acid levels can be an indicator of fatigue in athletes after undergoing a physical fitness test. This type of quantitative descriptive research used a randomized group pretest-posttest group design sampling method. The subjects in the study used were male athletes on the West Kalimantan Muaythai team who will be prepared for the 2024 International Student Muaythai Championship. In this study, the subjects were divided into two groups, the first group was given a placebo and the second group was given the amino acid L-arginine. Each group was given the same treatment, namely a physical fitness test to determine the VO2Max level using a bleep test. Before and after carrying out the physical fitness test, the subjects were checked for oxygen saturation, and blood lactic acid samples were taken. The results showed that L-Arginine supplementation had a positive effect in helping to maintain optimal oxygen saturation in the body and reducing the accumulation of blood lactic acid levels that can cause fatigue in Muay Thai athletes. This shows the significant role of L-arginine supplementation in helping to enhance physical endurance performance and speed up recovery during and after physical activity.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar passing bola voli pada siswa kelas IX C SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta tahun 2025 Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus dan terdiri dari empat tahap dalam setiap siklusnya yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini adalah siswa kelas IX C SMP Muhaammadiyah 5 Surakarta yang berjumlah 24 siswa yang terdiri dari 11 siswa putri dan 13 siswa putra. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berasal dari siswa, peneliti dan guru yang bertindak sebagai kolaborator. Teknik pengumpulan data ini menggunakan tes dan observasi. Validitas data menggunkan teknik triangulasi data. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini prosentase untuk melihat kencenderungan yang terjadi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa melalui model pembelajaran Resiprokal dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar passing bola voli dari pra siklus ke siklus I dan siklus I ke siklus II. Dari hasil analisis yang diperoleh peningkatan hasil belajar gerak dasar passing bola voli pada pra siklus 16,67% (Lulus) dan 83,33% (Tidak Lukus) siklus I yang dinyatakan tuntas mencapai 50%(Lulus) dan 50% (Tidak Lulus). Peningkatan hasil gerak dasar passing bola voli juga terjadi pada siklus II dengan prosentase sebesar 83% (Lulus) dan 17% (Tidak Lulus) atau sebanyak 20 siswa yang tergolong kriteria tuntas dengan KKM 75. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: penerapan model pembelajaran Resiprokal dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar passing bola voli pada siswa kelas IX C SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Flipped Learning model in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) at Junior High School 3 Kartasura. Flipped Learning reverses the traditional approach by having students study materials independently at home via digital media, such as videos or e-books, and then engage in practice and discussion during classroom sessions. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through interviews with the PJOK teacher, the vice principal for curriculum, and 20 students. The findings indicate that Flipped Learning was implemented effectively, with positive responses from both teachers and students. Classroom time was utilized more efficiently for practical activities, and students felt better prepared and more engaged. Challenges included limited internet access and some students’ lack of discipline in completing pre-class learning. Nevertheless, support from the school, including technological facilities, teacher training, and students’ digital literacy, facilitated success. Overall, Flipped Learning enhanced engagement, learning efficiency, and practical performance in PJOK.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus dan terdiri dari empat tahap dalam setiap siklusnya yaitu perencanaa, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keefektivitasan pembelajaran sepakbola pada siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 3 Colomadu tahun pelajaran 2024/2025 yang berjumlah 32 siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat seberapa efektif pembelajaran pada penjas terutama pada sepakbola dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament dengan yang tidak menggunakan model kooperatif. Observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa hanya 4 dari 28 siswa (12,50%) yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar pada nilai kognitif sedangkan tidak ada yang mencapai kelulusan pada nilai psikomotor. Diharapkan penerapan model Team Games Tournament ini dapat mengubah proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan menantang sehingga meningkat keterlibatan siswa. Hasil penelitian selanjutnya menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan. Pada siklus I, peserta didik yang tuntas meningkat menjadi 15 siswa (46.88%) pada aspek kognitif sedangkan pada aspek psikomotor meningkat menjadi 10 siswa (31,25%). Pada siklus II, peserta didik yang tuntas mencapai 30 siswa (93,75%) pada aspek kognitif sedangkan pada aspek psikomotor juga mengalami peningkatan mencapai 30 siswa (93,75%). Dengan demikian penggunaan metode pembelajaran dengan tipe Team Games Tournament ini terbukti berpengaruh dalam efektivitas pembelajaran penjas di SMP Negeri 3 Colomadu.

Abstract

Background: Academic performance in this context is conceptualized holistically, encompassing the integration of cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and physical achievements. Grounded in Self-Determination Theory and Social Cognitive Theory, the study posits that physical activity interest and social skills serve as predictors of both mental toughness and academic outcomes. Objectives: This study examines the mediating role of mental toughness in the relationship between physical activity interest, social skills, and academic performance among university students enrolled in physical education programs. Methods: A quantitative approach was employed, involving the administration of structured questionnaires to 235 active students. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with a Partial Least Squares approach to assess construct validity and the relationships among variables. Results: The results reveal that interest in physical activity and social skills has a significant influence on both mental toughness and academic performance. However, mental toughness did not serve as a substantial mediator within the proposed model. Conclusions: These findings underscore the critical direct roles of affective and social factors in predicting academic success in physical education contexts. Theoretically, this study clarifies the functional position of mental toughness, while practically, it promotes the development of instructional strategies that enhance intrinsic motivation and collaborative skills within physical education curricula.

Abstract

Sports are very important for human body health, one of the most popular sports among the Indonesian people is football. Football in Indonesia has developed significantly throughout the country, many football enthusiasts train in this game from an early age, as seen in several regions. One of the developments in football can be seen from the existence of Football Schools in Indonesia, one of which is the Condromowo Ketanggi Football School. One of the movements or exercises that are often performed is kicking towards the goal, which aligns with the objective of this game, which is to score as many goals as possible against the opponent's goal. Therefore, training in kicking the ball towards the goal is conducted. In this study, two types of kicking exercises are carried out, namely moving ball kicks and stationary ball kicks. The aim is to train each player's ability to score. From the results of the experiments and research conducted, the training implemented on the SSB Condromowo Ketanggi students has shown a very significant improvement, making this training very good for enhancing the kicking skills of soccer players. This significant improvement is indicated by the T-Test results with a significance value of < 0.5
