Background: Sensation in the form of pain, edema, and stiffness that increases 24-48 hours after high-intensity training, especially eccentric exercises is called Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). One method to accelerate the recovery process and reduce the pain caused by DOMS is with Branched-Chain Amino Acid (BCAA) supplementation. However, until now, there has been limited research that proves the difference in the effectiveness of supplementation time between before and after exercise. Objectives: The aim of this research was to determine the difference in the effectiveness of BCAA supplementation time on DOMS.Methods: This research was an experimental research. A posttest only control group design approach was carried out to measure the effectiveness of supplementation on DOMS as measured by VAS at 24 hours after exercise. A pre and post control group design approach was carried out to measure the effectiveness of supplementation on the alteration in Range of Motion (ROM) as measured by the modified Lower Extremity Functional Scale (LEFS) questionnaire before exercise and 24 hours after exercise. The subjects were classified into 3 groups, namely the control group, 30 minutes before exercise supplementation, and 1 hour after exercise supplementation. Data were analyzed by one way ANOVA and Kruskall Wallis tests. Results Total sample in this study was 30 people. The result of oneway ANOVA test for differences in the effectiveness of BCAA supplementation on VAS was p<0.001. The result of post hoc test between the control and before and after exercise supplementation group was p<0.001, while between the before and after supplementation group was p=0.113. The result of Kruskall Wallis test to measure the effectiveness of supplementation on the alteration (Δ) in LEFS was p=0.336Conclusion: There was no significant difference in the level of pain between the before and after BCAA supplemented group. However, there were significant differences in the level of pain in both of the before and after supplementation group with the control group. There was no significant differences in the alteration of ROM between the three groups

Football is a high-intensity sport with a wide variety of movements. Football athletes, especially professional athletes, must have the optimal aerobic capacity (VO2 Max) to achieve best performance in every match. One of the factors that influences VO2 Max is body fat percentage. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of body fat percentage on maximal aerobic capacity in Indonesian professional football athletes. This research is an analytical cross-sectional study with the data collection method from tests and measurement. The population in this study was football players of Bhayangkara Football Club that participated in Liga 1 Indonesia 2021/2022. The research was conducted among 27 players that were taken by the saturated sampling method. The body fat percentage was measured using skinfold thickness Jackson Pollock 7 sites. The VO2 Max was determined by Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test Level 2. The result showed a negative correlation between body fat percentage and VO2 Max (p = 0,042). It points out that body fat percentage has an effect on maximal aerobic capacity; the lower body fat percentage, the higher aerobic capacity of professional football players.

Technology and life today have a big influence, especially on the phenomenon of people’s physical activity and body mass index, plus medical students who have a heavy study load will certainly have an influence on these two things. Low physical activity and uncontrolled body mass index will have a major impact on a person's physical fitness, one of the its components is agility. This study aims to determine the relationship between physical activity level and body mass index on agility. This research is a quantitative research with an observational study with a cross sectional approach on 35 students majoring in medicine at Sebelas Maret University who were selected using random sampling techniques. Physical activity was tested using the Indonesian version of the IPAQ SF questionnaire, BMI was tested by measuring the students' height and weight and agility was tested using the Illinois Agility Run Test. The results showed that most of the medical students fell into the moderate category of physical activity level (18 people) and normal body mass index (16 people) but were not too far from those included in the obese category (15 people), none of the students' agility fell into the category good & excellent and most of them fall into the below average (13 people) and poor (12 people) categories. The results obtained were then calculated using Spearmann correlation analysis showing that the physical activity and agility variables had a significance value of p=0.000 with a correlation coefficient of 0.646. The variables body mass index and agility have a significance value of p=0.227 with a correlation coefficient of 0.210. The relationship between the physical activity variable and agility is significant with a strong correlation, while the body mass index variable and agility has an insignificant relationship

Low back pain (LBP) is a significant contributor to global musculoskeletal disorders, often associated with uncomfortable working postures prevalent among home convection workers. This study investigates the correlation between work posture and LBP incidence in 36 female home convection workers aged 20-55, selected through total sampling. This study employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. Conducted from March 31 to June 17, 2023, in Sragen, the study utilized RULA with an ordinal scale for posture analysis and the Modified ODI questionnaire, also employing an ordinal scale for LBP measurement. Results revealed 52.78% with low-risk and 47.22% with high-risk postures. Most LBP cases were mild (35 individuals). Kendall’s tau correlation test showed no significant relationship between work posture and LBP incidence (p-value = 0.175, p 0.05). This research concluded that there was no significant relationship between work posture and the incidence of LBP among female home construction workers. However, no significant correlation was found; 47.22% faced a high risk of other musculoskeletal disorders, highlighting the need for immediate posture changes among these workers.

Good physical performance must also prioritize metabolic health. Metabolic health is influenced by body composition, including muscle mass and visceral fat. Muscle mass plays a role in the performance and quality of body metabolism, while visceral fat around the liver, pancreas, and intestines is an indicator of metabolic health that affects insulin resistance, chronic inflammation, and metabolic diseases. Good training is needed to find the right recipe for maximizing muscle mass and controlling visceral fat levels. This study aims to compare muscle mass and visceral fat in female aquatic athletes to see health parameters without neglecting performance. This study used a cross-sectional design involving 15 subjects from female swimming and diving athletes from the KONI Malang City pool. Measurement of muscle mass and visceral fat used a BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) tool. Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between muscle mass and visceral fat. The results showed that all research subjects had low muscle mass with a maximum value of 21.03 and visceral fat in the high category of 0.67. Low muscle mass is likely caused by suboptimal training outcomes or by strength training not maximizing muscle mass composition, while high visceral fat can be influenced by poor nutritional management by athletes. Physical performance and metabolic health are crucial, especially in optimizing muscle mass and minimizing visceral fat. Low muscle mass is caused by inadequate training methods, particularly strength training, including a lack of attention to training principles such as intensity, frequency, and loading.
