Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Outdoor Education learning model on fifth-grade students' interest in Physical Education at MI Nurul Islam Ganti. The study employed a quantitative approach with a one-group experimental design. The sample consisted of 50 fifth-grade students. The research instrument was a Physical Education learning interest questionnaire consisting of 24 items using a four-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed descriptively using percentages, minimum score, maximum score, mean, standard deviation, and learning interest categories. The results showed that: (1) most students' responses were in the strongly agree and agree categories; (2) the average score reached 77.06 out of a maximum score of 96, equivalent to 80.27%; (3) 26 students were in the high category; and (4) 24 students were in the very high category. In conclusion, the implementation of the Outdoor Education model supports the development of high interest in Physical Education learning through active, enjoyable, contextual, and outdoor-based learning experiences. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the traditional coconut shell stilts game on the gross motor development of fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Lekor. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 25 fifth-grade students selected through saturated sampling. The research instruments included a practical coconut shell stilts test on a 10-meter track and a gross motor observation sheet assessing balance, movement coordination, agility, step accuracy, and speed. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality test, homogeneity test, paired-sample t-test, and Wilcoxon test. The results showed that (1) the mean completion time decreased from 22.81 seconds in the pretest to 22.69 seconds in the posttest; (2) the paired-sample t-test indicated t = 6.372 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05; (3) the Wilcoxon test showed Z = -4.120 with a significance value of 0.000; and (4) the traditional coconut shell stilts game had a significant effect on students' gross motor development. In conclusion, the traditional coconut shell stilts game has a significant effect on the gross motor development of fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Lekor, especially in balance, movement coordination, agility, and body control. Abstract

This study aimed to describe Sasak local-wisdom values embedded in the traditional game of Selodor, analyze their implementation in Physical Education, Sports, and Health learning, and identify their relevance, supporting factors, and constraints in strengthening the Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children Movement. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed at SD Negeri Sisik Timur, Pringgarata District, Central Lombok. Purposively selected informants comprised the principal, the physical education teacher, the Grade V homeroom teacher, and five Grade V students. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, activity observations, and documentation, and analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Source and technique triangulation strengthened the trustworthiness of the findings. Selodor was found to contain values of cooperation, mutual assistance, togetherness, discipline, honesty, sportsmanship, responsibility, mutual respect, care, courage, self-confidence, leadership, and perseverance. Its implementation involved cultural and character-goal orientation, warm-up, heterogeneous grouping, explanation of rules, game practice, teacher facilitation, and post-game reflection. The most direct relevance concerned the habits of exercising and social participation, whereas links with the other habits were indirect and required reinforcement across school activities. School commitment, teacher coordination, field availability, and student enthusiasm supported implementation, while limited lesson time, weather, facilities, attraction to digital devices, and students’ initial lack of confidence were constraints. In conclusion, Selodor can serve as a contextual physical education medium that integrates physical activity, character education, and Sasak cultural preservation when implemented routinely, reflectively, and collaboratively. Abstract

Learning motivation is an essential prerequisite for successful Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning in elementary schools because physical education requires physical engagement, willingness to perform movement tasks, rule compliance, and positive social interaction. This study aimed to analyze the contribution of the school environment and teacher role to students' motivation to learn PJOK at SDN 2 Songak. A quantitative causal-associative survey design was employed. The respondents were 67 upper-grade elementary students who completed questionnaires on the school environment, teacher role, and PJOK learning motivation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, assumption testing, and multiple linear regression. The results showed that students' PJOK learning motivation was in the very high category (M = 58.37 out of 64; 91.21%). Teacher role was positively correlated with PJOK learning motivation (r = 0.276; p = 0.024), whereas the school environment was not significantly correlated with motivation (r = -0.181; p = 0.144). Multiple regression indicated that the school environment and teacher role jointly contributed significantly to PJOK learning motivation, F (2,64) = 3.725; p = 0.030; R2 = 0.104. Partially, teacher role had a significant positive effect on PJOK learning motivation (B = 0.266; beta = 0.268; p = 0.027), while the school environment did not have a significant effect (B = -0.301; beta = -0.168; p = 0.162). These findings highlight the importance of teacher role as motivator, facilitator, guide, feedback provider, and creator of enjoyable learning environments in improving elementary students' motivation to learn PJOK.
