Abstract

This study is aimed to describe the process of developing enrichment books in the learning phase of the school literacy movement. The feasibility of enrichment books on the school literacy movement for students in class VI with the theme of saving sentient beings, and describing the use of enrichment books in the school literacy movement of the learning phase. This study refers to the Borg & Gall development model. The results showed that: (1) the development of enrichment books is based on research and gathering preliminary information, planning, initial product development, validation of material content, design and language, product revisions, assessments with suggestions of class teachers and students, revisions, individual trials, revisions back, small group trials, next revisions, limited field trials, revisions more until the product is valid and suitable for used; (2) the results of the material expert validation included the feasibility of the contents with an average of 90.62% on the “very good” criteria, the feasibility of serving with an average of 95% on the “very good” criteria, and the aspect of graphic with an average of 100% on the “very good” criteria, the average of all aspects is 95.20% on the “very good” criteria, design expert validation with an average of 90.47% on the “very good” criteria, and linguist validation 82% on the “very good” criteria, and (3) the use of enrichment books fulfills the requirements and effectively used as reading material. The results of teacher assessment responses for the enrichment books developed have an average total percentage of 907, 32% with the criteria of "very good". The average percentage results of all limited field tests were 92,58% with the criteria of "very good".

Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials by using VAK (Visual Auditory Kinestethic) on fantasy story material for 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Medan. The research method used is Research and Development which refers to Borg and Gall model. The stages of development are the initial study phase, initial product development, and product trials. The results showed that the results of material validation included content eligibility with an average of 82% with a very good category, Eligibility for Presentation with an average of 87.5% with a very good category, and an assessment of language aspects with an average of 82.2% with a category very good. For the assessment of graphics by design experts obtained an average of 87% with the category "very good". Product trials are carried out in three stages: individual testing, small group trials, and limited field trials. Individual trials with an average of 86% with very good categories, small group trials with an average of 87.4% with very good categories, and limited field trials with an average of 88.3% with very good categories. The effectiveness of teaching materials is obtained through student learning outcomes in the pretest and posttest. Average score at pretest is 52 and at posttest is 76. This proves that the teaching material of fantasy story by using VAK (Visual Auditory Kinestethic) is feasible, easy, and effective for use in 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Medan. This research has implications for Indonesian language learning process, which is teaching material by using VAK (Visual Auditory Kinestethic) which is developed to provide practical contributions, especially in the implementation of the learning process for teachers, teaching materials in the form of this module can be additional teaching materials to provide convenience in conveying fantasy story material taught, enriching and increasing students' knowledge about fantasy story so that learning will be more interesting and motivate students, trains students to learn independently.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the developmentof brochure-based teaching materials on persuasive text in grade 7th students.The object of this study is grade 7th students of Dwi Tunggal Tanjung Morawa. The result shows that The process of developing the development of brochure-based teaching materials on persuasive text material was carried out in three stages, namely the preliminary study phase, the initial product development and product testing. At the stage of the preliminary study an analysis of the needs of teachers and students was carried out. The results of the needs analysis obtained data that 100% of teachers and students of Junior High School Dwi Tunggal Tanjung Morawa need teaching materials in the Indonesian language learning companion. In the initial product development stage, product design and product validation were carried out to 2 material experts and 2 media design experts. After the validation process, the product is declared feasible for testing. In the third stage, product testing was carried out in three ways, namely individual trials, small group trials and limited field trials. Individual trials obtained an average percentage of 88.19% with the category "Very good", the small group trial received an average percentage of 89.58% with the category "Very Good". Limited field trials received an average percentage of 91.01% with the category "Very Good". Based on these data, obtained appropriate teaching materials to be used by teachers and students in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Know the differences in reading skills of students taught with the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning model compared to students taught with conventional learning models; (2) Knowing the difference in reading skills of students who have high learning motivation compared to students who have low learning motivation; (3) Knowing the interaction between learning models and learning motivation in influencing students' reading skills. The population in this study were the fifth grade students of Elementary school 101883, Tanjungmorawa District, Deliserdang Regency, amounting to 54 people. Data collection in this study was through questionnaires and students' reading skills tests. Hypothesis testing is done by using the Two Way Anova test. The results showed that: (1) The reading skills of students taught with the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning model were higher than those taught by conventional learning models (Fcount = 21.164 and sig. 0.000> 0.05); (2) Reading skills of students who have high learning motivation are higher than reading skills of students who have low learning motivation (Fcount = 6.756 and sig. 0.012> 0.05); (3) There is an interaction between learning models and learning motivation in influencing students' reading skills (Fcount = 7.054 and sig. 0.011> 0.05).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of the development of teaching materials to write project-based observation report text for class X SMK Telkom 2 Medan. The subjects of this study were students of class X SMK Telkom 2 Medan who were taken as many as 1 class / study group with a total of 30 students. Researchers collected information based on the results of observations of teaching materials in class X SMK Telkom 2 Medan shows that the teaching materials used by teachers so far have only used textbooks without teaching materials in the form of modules as another guide in learning, especially on the text material for the observation report. The results of the effectiveness of teaching materials for writing text c reports on the results of project-based observations (project based learning) on a limited trial, namely 30 students of class X SMK Telkom 2 Medan, namely in the pretest test results obtained an average score of 68.97% with sufficient category . Meanwhile, after using teaching materials to write text modules on the postest test with an average score of 80.83% with a good category. These results state that the teaching materials for writing project-based observation report text after use have a significant increase in student learning outcomes with a difference of 11.86 which indicates that by using the teaching materials to write project-based observation report text learning) student scores are better than before.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the process of developing a collaborative Jigsaw Cooperative Jigsaw Cooperative Assurance Relevance Interest Assessment (ARIAS) learning model in writing news texts (2) the results of the validation of the collaborative jigsaw cooperative Assurance Relevance Interest Assessment Satisfaction learning model (3) ) the effectiveness of learning outcomes that apply the collaborative Assurance Relevance Interest Assessment Satisfaction (ARIAS) learning model in jigsaw Cooperative in writing news texts by students of class VIII SMP Negeri 06 Medan. The test subjects consisted of material experts, design experts, Indonesian language study teachers, and VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 06 Medan. The results of this study indicate that (1) The results of the questionnaire needs that have been distributed can result that the respondent has never used a learning model that collaborates with other models, inspires confidence and is in accordance with student interests and students' assumption that news text material is too difficult and students feel confused organizing ideas when writing begins and find it difficult to arrange the first sentence in writing. (2) validation of material experts includes and validation of learning design experts. Validation in learning design get an average score of 89.02 gets very good criteria and validation results by material experts get an average score of 83.47 gets very good criteria (3) Test the effectiveness of learning products in the form of developing learning models of assurance relevance interest assessment satisfaction (ARIAS) Collaborative Jigsaw Cooperative of respondents 32 students consisting of 2 teachers of Indonesian Language and Literature studies who received an average of 80, 15% in the "very good" category. Students after using the development of the learning model Assurance Relevance Interest Assessment Satisfaction (ARIAS) collaborative jigsaw have improved learning outcomes compared to before using the development of the learning model of collaborative jigsaw cooperative assurance relevance interest assessment satisfaction (ARIAS). Thus the learning model Assurance Relevance Interest Assessment Satisfaction (ARIAS) collaborative cooperative jigsaw is more motivating, arouse students' self-confidence, independent and arises a sense of responsibility.

Abstract

This research aims to develop the material teaching of News text based Problem in 12th grade Students of Vocational High School at TR Sinar Husni. The methods used is quantitative method. It also use random sampling system. The product that was developed was in the form of a problem-based module on writing news text material entitled "News Text -Based Problem" for 12th grade students of Vocational High School at TR Sinar Husni qualified and suitable for use as individual teaching materials based on the assessment of material experts and learning design experts. The feasibility of teaching materials by material experts included in the criteria is excellent with aspects of the feasibility of the contents of 90.1%, the feasibility of the presentation of 90.3%, and the feasibility of aspects of the language of 93.2%. The feasibility of the design by the design experts in the criteria is excellent with an average score of 89.5%, the module size aspect with an average score of 89%, the module cover design (cover) with an average score of 91.6%, and the module design with an average score of 87.5%. The student news text test results after using the news text module increased by 9.47, with an average pretest learning outcomes or before using the module of 76.07 while the posttest learning outcomes or after using the module amounted to 85.54.

Abstract

This study is aimed to know the feasibility of interactive multimedia validation data results on folk poetry texts learning. The development of interactive multimedia is focused on folk poetry text material. The students are expected to learn independently through interactive multimedia that has been adjusted by the developer. The research and development population is VII grade students of MTS Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa. The research was using the 4D method, which involves four stages of research: define, design, development, and disseminate. The product of this research results in the form of interactive multimedia development of folk poetry texts is Adobe Flash CS5 media. The results shows that the feasibility of the media and material scored an average of 88.8 % with the criteria of "good" and 86.4% with the criteria of "good" in the development of interactive multimedia on folk poetry text learning.
