Abstract

Tidak seimbangnya banyaknya lapangan pekerjaan yang tersedia dengan jumlah lulusan perguruan tinggi, membuat para lulusan jurusan matematika perlu memikirkan untuk membuka lapangan pekerjaan sendiri. Salah satu pekerjaan yang memerlukan ilmu matematika sebagai modal dalam menjalankan pekerjaan tersebut adalah bisnis. Untuk sukses dalam berbisnis, seorang pebisnis perlu mengetahui juga teori ekonomi bisnis serta bagaimana ilmu praktik dari bisnis itu sendiri. Pada webinar pengabdian masyarakat ini satu orang narasumber menyajikan berbagai teori yang digunakan dalam bisnis, sedangkan tiga orang narasumber lainnya menjelaskan tentang bagaimana praktik bisnis yang sedang dijalankannya. Pada tahap akhir webinar, kuesioner dengan 11 pernyataan dianalisis untuk melihat pengaruh maatematika terhadap kesuksesan bisnis. Hasil analisis kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa variabel kemudahan, kemanfaatan serta kemampuan dalam matematika sangat mempengaruhi kesuksesan dalam berbisnis.

Abstract

The active imperative sentences often tend to sound harsh. The sentence has a commanding meaning and ends with an exclamation mark. In the Indonesian language, to be more polite, the sentence uses the word politeness and a different sentence structure. These more polite imperative sentences are called passive imperative sentences. Changing an active imperative sentence to a passive imperative sentence can be done mathematically through several stages. These stages are determining the set of word, and the set of word types, using binary operations to obtain the rules for changing the pronoun as an object to subject, determining the rules for substituting active verbs into passive verbs, determining algebraic structures for an active imperative sentence, specifying a set of politeness words, specifying rules for passive imperative sentence, transformation an active imperative sentence into a passive imperative sentence. The change method produces a mathematical model p to construct the more polite imperative sentence.

Abstract

The scheduling of odd semester courses for the 2022/2023 Academic Year in the Mathematics and Data Science Department which is intended to avoid conflicts in the lecture implementation process, is prepared by colored dots on the graph. The dots are assumed to be courses while the edges of the graph are given to indicate that two courses cannot be arranged on the same schedule. Coloring with the Welsh-Powell method is carried out after the adjacency matrix which shows the relationship between the subjects is constructed. Class schedules with 8 subject groups (slots) are generated and distributed to each lecture session with a maximum of 5 sessions Monday to Friday. Course schedules with weights of 4 and 3 credits are carried out in 2 sessions each week. The application of the coloring method is done using the C++ program

Abstract

Numerical literacy is an ability that requires an understanding of basic mathematical concepts and skills. Private Integrated Islamic Junior High School (SMPS IT) "Karakter Anak Shalih" (KAS) has not implemented the Minimum Competency Assessment (MCA) of the 2022/2023 school year, which will be held in 2023. The preparations for MCA implementation should be started in 2022. One of the problems schools encounter is how to prepare the students to conceive numeracy literacy for MCA. The Community Service Activities (CSA) of the Department of Mathematics and Data Science of Universitas Andalas aims to accompany teachers and students to increase students' understanding of basic concepts and skills in mathematics, providing socialization and assistance to teachers and students regarding numeracy literacy knowledge, and supporting schools to improve learning process services. Those activities were carried out in three main stages, namely, the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the activity evaluation stage. The results of this CSA activity were evaluated by observing the students' understanding of mathematical concepts, numeracy literacy, and improving services that support the learning process. Based on the CSA activities, it was concluded that mentoring activities must be continued to assist schools in dealing with MCA.

Abstract

The minimal knowledge of the students of SMAN 3 Pariaman about the use of mathematics in various professions resulted in these students needing to be made aware of the importance of learning and understanding mathematics. This lack of awareness also has an impact on interest in mathematics. From the questionnaire results with a sample of 50 students of SMAN 3 Pariaman, it was found that initially, only 10% of students were interested in mathematics. Then to increase students' interest and insight into the application of mathematics through socialization is carried out on various examples of cases or problems in the world of work which are solved using high school mathematics material. From the results of the questionnaire at the end of the socialization, it was found that there was an increase in the number of students who were interested in mathematics by 26%. It shows that the explanation about using mathematics material significantly influences students' interest and insight in mathematics

Abstract

This study aims to find out how big the transmission rate of COVID-19 is. The SIHR (Susceptible, Infected, Isolation, Hospitalized, Recovered) model was applied. This model has two equilibrium points, namely a disease free equilibrium point and a disease-endemic equilibrium point. The stability at the two equilibrium points is asymptotically stable. In this study, the model was simulated using COVID-19 data for DKI-Jakarta Province from 1 January 2021 to 1 January 2022. Numerical simulations with various values of the rate of treatment and self-isolation parameters were carried out to see the effect of these two parameters on reducing the spread

Abstract

Mathematics is a field of study needed in various aspects of life. Accordingly, mathematics should always be considered a compulsory subject at every level of education, including in Islamic Boarding Schools. The fact shows that implementing mathematics learning in several schools needs to run optimally, especially in schools lacking teachers and limited educational facilities and infrastructure, such as The Al Ashry Islamic Boarding School, at the secondary level in Padang. This condition indicates that it is necessary to assist other parties to help students in their mathematics learning process. For this reason, the community service team of The Mathematics and Science Data Department of Andalas University conducted an intensive mathematics tutoring activity for The Al-Asyri Boarding School students. The activity carried out during September-December 2022 combined the lecture and the small group discussion approach. From the evaluation delivered by the students at the end of the activity, it can be concluded that this activity increased students’ interest, motivation, efficacy, and understanding of mathematics subject.

Abstract

Nyamuk Anopheles sp. lebih menyukai lingkungan tropis dan subtropis Indonesia. Menurut informasi Kementerian Kesehatan (Kemenkes), terdapat 415.140 kasus malaria di Indonesia pada tahun 2022. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat penularan penyakit malaria di Indonesia. Model matematika dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk menggambarkan permasalahan yang muncul guna memahami dinamika penularan malaria di Indonesia. Model  (Susceptible, Infected, Recovery), yang merupakan versi modifikasi dari model yang telah ada. Model ini memiliki dua titik equilibrium yaitu titik equilibrium bebas penyakit dan titik equilibrium endemik penyakit. Hasil penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kestabilan pada kedua titik equilibrium. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kedua titik equilibrium tersebut stabil asimtotik. , , , dan . Dapat disimpulkan dari hasil tersebut bahwa bilangan reproduksi dasar bernilai    1, yang berarti penyakit malaria di Indonesia tidak akan menyebar dan pada akhirnya penyakit malaria akan hilang dari Indonesia. Kata kunci: Kestabilan Model, Malaria, Model

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi diiringi dengan meningkatnya ancaman terhadap keamanan serta kerahasiaan informasi pada pesan. Salah satu cara untuk mengamankan pesan dapat menggunakan teknik super enkripsi. Super enkripsi merupakan suatu konsep yang menggunakan kombinasi dari cipher substitusi dan cipher transposisi untuk meningkatkan keamanan pesan. Cipher substitusi adalah metode untuk merubah setiap karakter pesan melalui operasi matematika. Cipher transposisi adalah metode untuk merubah susunan setiap karakter pesan. Pada penelitian ini, Vigenere cipher sebagai cipher substitusi dan route cipher sebagai cipher transposisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan algoritma super enkripsi Vigenere cipher dan route cipher pada penyandian pesan teks. Penyandian pesan dimulai dengan enkripsi menggunakan persamaan Vigenere cipher kemudian dienkripsi kembali menggunakan route cipher dengan merubah susunan karakter pesan sesuai rute kunci. Pengembalian pesan atau dekripsi dimulai dengan route cipher lalu didekripsi kembali menggunakan Vigenere cipher. Proses penyandian dan pengembalian pesan akan diimplementasikan menggunakan bahasa program PHP.

Abstract

Selama ini, pada Laundry Zone pekerja dijadwalkan bekerja 7 hari dalam seminggu dan hanya bekerja pada satu jadwal tertentu saja. Untuk kenyamanan karyawan, maka perlu dikonstruksi jadwal sehingga pekerja memiliki hari libur dalam seminggu dan dapat bekerja pada jadwal lain. Pada penilitian ini digunakan metode Goal Programming dan software LINGO 11.0 untuk menyusun jadwal yang optimal tersebut.
