Abstract

Palm oil plantations are one of the important sectors in the Indonesian economy that remained strong during the global financial crisis and contributed greatly to the country's foreign exchange. The world's largest exporters of palm oil are Indonesia and Malaysia with the largest contributions of 26.60 million tons and 15.40 million tons respectively in 2022. Companies are trying to improve the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) to comply with regulations and improve the quality of management in a sustainable manner. The purpose of this study is to review the literature on the implementation of GCG in palm oil plantation companies, its impact on company performance, and obstacles in its implementation, using a qualitative literature study method. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of GCG in companies such as PT Bumitama Gunajaya Agro, PT. PP. London Sumatera Indonesia Tbk, and PT Agro Sinergi Nusantara has succeeded in meeting the principles of GCG and increasing Return on Assets (ROA). However, there are obstacles such as lack of management commitment, limited resources, unsupportive corporate culture, and external pressures and conflicts of interest. By overcoming these obstacles, it is hoped that companies in the palm oil plantation sub-sector can be more effective in implementing GCG, thereby improving their financial performance and business sustainability.

Abstract

Abstract

The Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is a vital element in maintaining the operational continuity of Internet Service Providers (ISPs), especially in Indonesia, which faces complex geographical and infrastructural challenges. In this context, the presence of Starlink, a low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite-based internet service provider, presents new opportunities for ISPs to develop more adaptive and resilient BCP strategies in the face of disruptions. This literature study aims to analyze the potential impact of Starlink integration within the BCP framework of Indonesian ISPs, based on a review of various scientific publications, technical reports, and regulatory documents. The study finds that Starlink offers advantages in terms of network recovery speed, coverage of remote areas, and integration flexibility as a backup connectivity solution. However, challenges related to cost, regulations, and cybersecurity must be taken into account in long-term planning. The study recommends a hybrid approach that combines terrestrial infrastructure with satellite connectivity to enhance the effectiveness of BCP for ISPs in Indonesia.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the global economy, including Indonesia. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as one of the backbones of the national economy face major challenges in maintaining business continuity. Digitalization is one of the strategies that can help MSMEs improve efficiency, productivity, and market access. QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) as a digital payment instrument can play an important role in supporting people's economic recovery after the pandemic. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the contribution of QRIS to the people's economic recovery. This study aims to analyze the impact of using QRIS on ease of transactions, security, and increased income for MSME players. The method used is mixed methods with qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data is collected through literature studies to get a comprehensive picture of the experiences of MSME players before and after using QRIS, as well as quantitative data related to income generation. The results show that QRIS provides significant convenience in the transaction process and maintains a high level of transaction security. However, the increase in MSME income through the use of QRIS cannot be seen directly in the short term and requires time and other supporting factors. In conclusion, QRIS acts as an important innovation in supporting the digitalization of the MSME sector, especially in the aspects of transaction convenience and security, which has the potential to improve overall business performance

Abstract

Accurate land valuation is essential for economic development, spatial planning, and taxation, yet conventional methods often fall short in terms of data coverage, speed, and precision. This study introduces a novel approach by exploring the integration of big data particularly property listing and transaction records with machine learning algorithms and spatial analysis. Drawing on a qualitative literature review, the findings indicate that this approach can enhance prediction accuracy, accelerate valuation processes, and incorporate non-traditional variables such as environmental quality. Nevertheless, challenges remain regarding data quality, fragmentation, limited digital literacy, and the absence of supportive regulations. The study highlights the potential of big data to serve as a foundation for the digital transformation of land valuation in Indonesia, provided it is supported by data validation, adaptive regulation, and strengthened human resource capacity.
