Abstract

Cerita panjang yang mewarnai upaya pemerintah menghentikan penyebaran Covid 19 berdampak pada perubahan gaya hidup (habits) terhadap sektor ekonomi yang telah dibangun, akhirnya masyarakat dituntut untuk dapat cepat beradaptasi dengan lingkungan baru akibat pandemi yang berkepanjangan. Pengetahuan masyarakat tentang Covid menjadi salah satu faktor yang menentukan apa dan bagaimana bersikap dan memperlakukan orang lain. Untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengetahuan masyarakat dan pengaruhnya, penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi lapangan. Dari temuan di lapangan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Pengetahuan masyarakat tentang Covid mempengaruhi cara masyarakat bertindak. 2) Dampak pengetahuan terhadap Covid mengakibatkan perubahan pola perilaku, pola hidup sehat dan kecemasan berlebih.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the attitude of the community in terms of receiving poverty assistance. This research was conducted because it was found in the community that the number of people who were helped by looking at the integrated basic data (BDT) did not decrease even though the assistance provided was numerous and varied. UDB is used as a basis for disbursing government assistance to reduce poverty. Including, the poverty rate shows that there is no significant reduction in the poverty rate, and even tends to remain unchanged. The names of the same beneficiaries always appear from year to year. This study aims to determine how the attitude of the community in receiving the assistance. Using qualitative methods, it is used to analyze the attitudes of recipients of poverty assistance. some people still survive as recipients of poverty assistance, even though they are economically capable, and continue to remain in active status in the government database.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of families and nursing homes in improving the quality of life of the elderly. Social problems facing the elderly include the ability of families and nursing homes to meet their needs. The elderly are part of the demographic bonus challenge and need support for physical, economic, psychological and social well-being. Shifts in family functions have led to an increase in the number of elderly people in nursing homes. The International Convention on the Elderly emphasizes the importance of access to basic needs and employment opportunities, but Indonesia has not ratified this convention, even though there are local policies that recognize the elderly as a vulnerable group that must be empowered. This research uses a constructivist paradigm and qualitative methods with in-depth interviews and participant observation to collect data. The results show that the pattern of caring for elderly people in families and nursing homes is different, with nursing homes often being a place for elderly people who have been neglected by their families. Families have an important role in caring for and supporting elderly people, which can significantly influence their quality of life. Nursing homes also play a role in providing care and support, but face challenges such as limited resources and social stigma. This research highlights the importance of a holistic approach in elderly care, both in the context of families and nursing home institutions. Well-functioning families and well-managed nursing homes can improve the quality of life of seniors, by taking into account their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

Abstract

This study explores the roles of family and nursing homes in enhancing the quality of life of elderly in Bintan Regency, Kepulauan Riau Province, Indonesia, focusing on the quality of elder care, social interaction, and well-being. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected from two nursing homes through in-depth interviews with caregivers and family members, as well as direct observation. Findings reveal three main caregiving models: institutional care emphasizing basic needs (food, hygiene, and health); community-based care promoting peer interaction and social activities; and family-based care involving regular visits and financial support. The study shows that the emotional well-being of elders is closely linked to family involvement and social connection within the facility. Caregivers also play a vital role in fostering emotional comfort. An ideal elder care model combines adequate institutional support, psychosocial engagement, and family participation. The study recommends caregiver training focused on emotional care and initiatives to encourage family involvement in improving elders’ overall well-being.
