Abstract

As a coastal village, Landangan has fishery resource management activities. Due to pandemic Covid-19 situation, children who go to school must be able to access the internet to participate in learning activities. Children are increasingly attached to their gadgets. This causes the child to be indifferent to the surrounding environment. They become less interested in learning about fisheries, marine and coastal areas because of the lack information about maritime and maritime-based approaches. The purpose of this community service is to introduce and transfer the knowledge about the coast and the sea. The method used in this community service is consists of several stages, namely the initial survey, socialization, action, monitoring and evaluation. The presenters explained topics related to the potential and opportunities of marine resources, especially in Situbondo Regency. The participants were also go to the beach for beach cleaning-up activities. Participants gain a lot of insight and knowledge from the presentation of the material. Besides, they also learn to have more intention about their marine environment through beach clean-up activities, because their coastal village is a valuable asset. As suggestions, the other training activities need to be held to continue this community service for improving the knowledge and capabilities of human resources in Landangan Village.

Abstract

The biological, chemical and physical compounds in waters will effect the life of the biota in it. Nitrate is the main form of nitrogen in natural waters and the major nutrient for alga growth. The aim of this research is determining the concentration of nitrate in Pasir Putih waters, so that the research data can be utilized as water quality monitoring in Pasir Putih waters, Bungatan district, Situbondo regency. The nitrate data in marine waters sampling was collected from three stations and through laboratory analysis methods. The marine waters samples ware putted in dark glass bottles and stored in coolbox for aboratory analysis, then the data results was compared with water quality standard based on theDecree of the State Minister of the Environment Number 51 of 2004. The average of the concentration of nitrate at station A is 6,8 mg/l; at station B is 10,2 mg/l; at station C is 5,6 mg/l. The average of nitrate concentration at sampling stationsis 7,53 mg/L shows that nitrate concentration level is exceed the water quality standard based on the Decree of the State Minister of the Environment Number 51 of 2004. This leads to an indication of anthropogenic pollution in the waters due to the existence of floating net cages near the research location at Pasir Putih waters Situbondo regency. It needs further researchs about the presence of floating net cages to the surrounding water quality.

Abstract

Pantai pathek Selatan Desa Duwet menyimpan potensi laut yang sangat besar yang belum di kelolah dengan baik yaitu alga Ulva. Selama ini masyarakat menjualnya dengan harga Rp. 1.300 untuk berat ulva kering. Namun, tanggal 13 April sudah dilakukan program pelatihan agar masyarakat mempu mengolah alga ini menjadi stik Ulva dan saat ini mereka sudah mula memasarkannya. DI samping itu, di lokasi ini juga terdapat tambak yang cukup besar dengan buanga limbah ke laut dekat dengan lokasi ulva berada. Maka dari itu kami, ingin mengetahui bagaiman kualitas air di perairan. Apakah kondisinya sudah aman untuk oraganime baik ikan dan ulva atau tidak. Pengambilan sampel dilakuka di tiga titik yaitu L1,L2 dan L3 dan masing masing dilakukan saat pasang dan saaat surut. Adapun parameter yang diukur antara lain Suhu, pH, oksigen terlarut (DO), kadar nitrit dan kadar amonia. Secara umum, oksigen terlarut cukup banyak sehingga memungkinkan untuk biota laut berkembangbiak. Kadar amonia di LP2 dan LP3 memenuhi standar baku mutu lingkungan sedangkan untuk kadar amonia di LP1, LS1, LS2, LS3 di atas baku mutu lingkungan yang artinya hal ini cukup membayakan karena bersifat toksik. Hal ini dapat disebabkan karena terdapat buangan limbah yang belum dikelolah secara maksimal oleh pemilik tambak dan terdapat beberapa kotoran sapi yang dibuang dipinggir pantai. Selain edukasi kepada pemilik ternak sapi dan negosiasi dengan pihak tambak, yang harus dilakukan saat ini oleh warga adalah mengambil Ulva saat kondisi pasang.

Abstract

Kawasan pesisir Pasir Putih merupakan salah satu wisata bahari andalan Kabupaten Situbondo. Pengetahuan mengenai kualitas perairan Pasir Putih sangat penting untuk dilakukan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menentukan tingkat kualitas air sebagai gambaran kualitas perairan Pasir Putih. Pengambilan data kualitas air menggunakan metode insitu yaitu pengambilan data secara langsung di lapangan dan pengambilan data melalui pengujian di laboratorium. Analisa data hasil pengukuran parameter kualitas air yang didapatkan kemudian dihitung dengan metode Indeks Pencemaran. Perbandingan data hasil pengukuran parameter kekeruhan dan TSS dengan baku mutu untuk wisata bahari menunjukkan bahwa kekeruhan dan TSS nilainya tidak melebihi nilai standar baku mutu yang ditetapkan.Nilai pengujian pH, DO, BOD, dan fosfat berada pada rentang nilai yang diijinkan oleh standar baku mutu, kecuali nitrat yang melebihi nilai ambang batas baku mutu yang telah ditetapkan. Nilai Indeks Pencemaran Stasiun 1 sebesar 8.815; Stasiun 2 sebesar 7.943; Stasiun 3 sebesar 8.932; Stasiun 4 sebesar 8.656; Stasiun 5 sebesar 9.432; Stasiun 6 sebesar 9.178. Berdasarkan hubungan tingkat ketercemaran dengan kriteria Indeks Pencemaran dapat diketahui bahwa status mutu air Stasiun 1 hingga Stasiun 6 tercemar sedang karena 5,0 ≤ PIj ≤10.

Abstract

Selama ini masyarakat Desa Duwet menjualnya dengan harga Rp. 1.300 untuk berat ulva kering. Oleh karena itu kami memberikan pelatihan kepada masyarakat Desa Duwet tentang pengolahan alga menjadi stik dan kerupuk nori dengan harapan setelah mendapatkan pelatihan, akan mereka lanjutkan untuk usaha. Sebelum pelatihan , kami melakukan uji organoleptik kepada beberapa orang terkait produk yang akan kami berikan penyuluhannya kepada masyarakat. Hasilnya mereka menyukai produk stik dengan jumlah nori yang lebih banyak. Pasca pelatihan yang dihadiri kurang lebih 20 ibu-ibu ini yang pada akhirnya mereka membuat kelompok “ulva Lestari” sepakat untuk melanjutkan usaha stik nori dibandingkan kerupuk Nori karena pembuatan stik membutuhkan waktu yang lebih sedikit dibandingkan dengan kerupuk. Sampai saat ini sudah beberapa kali pemesanan stik nori melalui ibu-ibu yang telah mengikuti pelatihan ini. Pendampingan akan terus dilakukan hingga mereka bisa mandiri dan mempunyai pasar yang cukup luas.

Abstract

The Ampel River is one of the rivers located in Landangan Village, Kapongan District, Situbondo Regency. This river is used by the community to irrigate rice fields, fishing, and so on. The existence of PT. Panca Mitra Multiperdana Tbk. namely producers of processed shrimp around the river have an impact on the quality of the river water. This study aims to analyze the water quality in the Ampel River. The analysis was carried out using the river pollution index method based on the Decree of the Minister of the Environment of the Republic of Indonesia number 115 of 2003. The Ampel River as the research area is drained by a sewage pipe from processed shrimp and is close to local shrimp ponds. Data were collected in situ using 150 ml dark glass bottles and 600 ml clear bottles, stored in a coolbox. The research location is divided into 3 sampling point locations. The results showed that the analysis used the pollution index in the Ampel River, namely at Station I of 2.59, station II of 4.29, and station III of 4.52 where all three were categorized as lightly polluted.

Abstract

Fishermen are very dependent on the season. Measuring the welfare of fishermen requires indicators that are quick and precise to see a picture of the welfare that has been achieved. One indicator that is believed to be used to see household welfare is the Fishermen's Exchange Rate (NTN) indicator. The purpose of this Fishermen's Exchange Rate research is to find out the characteristics of fishermen and the achievement of Fishermen's Exchange Rates in Situbondo Regency so that it can be used to provide input in the formulation of targets and formulation of policies to improve fishermen's welfare. The method used in this Fishermen Exchange Rate research is a survey. The number of respondents in the Fishermen Exchange Rate (NTN) Study was 189 respondents. The characteristics of the respondents in this study include the age group and educational level. Characteristics of fisherman respondents by age group consisted of 43% of fisherman respondents in the age group of 41-50 years, 22% in the age group of 30-40 years, 20% in the age group under 30 years and at least 15% in the age group of 51-60 years. The results of the analysis of the characteristics of fisherman respondents based on their level of education showed that the majority of respondents graduated from elementary school (SD) and below, namely 69%, 23% graduated from junior high school (SLTP) and only 8% had attended senior high school (SLTA) education. The NTN value of Situbondo Regency for the period January - October 2022 is 1.043 or the NTN value is around number one, which means that fishing families in Situbondo Regency in 2022 are only able to fulfill their daily needs and are categorized as vulnerable to poverty and are not yet able to consume secondary or tertiary needs, to save in the form of investment goods.

Abstract

Kabupaten Situbondo merupakan wilayah pesisir karena memiliki pantai, hutan mangrove, terumbu karang, dan lamun. Wilayah pesisir Situbondo yang potensial sektor kelautan dan perikanannya dapat menjadi modal untuk mewujudkan Misi 3 RPJMD 2021-2026 dan mencapai sasaran RPJPD Kabupaten Situbondo 2005-2025. Jika pengetahuan tentang ciri khas wilayah Situbondo yang merupakan wilayah pesisir tidak diperkenalkan kepada masyarakat, terutama generasi muda penerus pembangunan di Kabupaten Situbondo, maka dapat mengakibatkan rendahnya perhatian terhadap potensi pesisir di Situbondo. pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan kesamaan persepsi mengenai wilayah pesisir di Situbondo agar pengetahuan masyarakat, dalam hal ini mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Situbondo, mengenai pesisir semakin terbuka luas sehingga menggugah minat mereka untuk berkontribusi terhadap wilayah pesisir khususnya di Situbondo. Tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu: pendahuluan, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat “Sosialisasi Pengenalan Wilayah Pesisir kepada Mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Situbondo” berjalan dengan lancar dan sukses. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat “Sosialisasi Pengenalan Wilayah Pesisir kepada Mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Situbondo”, memberikan suasana baru bagi para peserta, yaitu mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Situbondo karena pada topik di perkuliahan mereka belum dikenalkan pengetahuan mengenai wilayah pesisir, khususnya pesisir Situbondo. Mereka tertarik dengan potensi pariwisata dan budidaya perikanan yang ada di wilayah pesisir Situbondo.

Abstract

Situbondo regency is one of the regencies located on the north coast of east java province which has potential in the fisheries and marine sectors. The sea area in Situbondo Regency is 1,142.4 km2. Geographically, these potential areas are concentrated in coastal areas with fishing, pond aquaculture, freswater aquaculture, seawater aquaculture, hatcheries and fishery prosessing businesses. Aquaculture businesses growing rapidly in Situbondo Regency, namely vaname shrimp aquaculture. The survival of vaname shrimp is influenced by the quality of water used. Alkalinity is one of the water quality parameters that impartant in the growth of vaname shrimp. Alaklinity that is to low will cause the shrimp can change their shells or molt frequently. Shrimp tat molt too often will be susceptible to disease and the threat of cannibalism due to the weak condition of the shrimp. In addition , too low alkalinity can also cause the shrimp fail to molt so that the shrimp can die. Besides that, if the alkalinity is too high, it will be difficult for the shrimp to molt so that their growth is not optimal. Water quality testing with alakalinity parameter was caried out at several pond location as samples, namely location 1 in Demung village, besuki district, location 2 in Kilensari village, Panarukan district, location 3 in Sletreng village , Kapongan district dan location 4 in Agel Village, Jangkar district. The research was conducted for 1 year with testing every 2 weeks. The result of measurements of alkalinity in Situbondo waters from november until November 2022 were ini the range of 90- 145 ppm. Thies value is still classified as appropriate to support pond-based shrimp farming based on water quality standart by PERMENT KP No.75 of 2016 concerning general duidelines for shrimp aquaculture stating that the level of alkalinity in water should be range of 80- 150 ppm. Meanwhile, number of Ca2+ level that support hardness are also in safe range for the survival of vaname shrimp, which below 500 ppm. Keyword : Alkalinity, Water Quality, Pond

Abstract

Vibrio sp. can also be used as an effort to monitor pond water quality. So cultivators must understand the dynamics of pond water quality fluctuations, by periodically controlling pond water quality parameter conditions. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Vibrio populations and environmental factors in Vannamei shrimp ponds. Sampling was carried out for one year in Vannamei shrimp ponds with 4 different locations namely Demung, Panarukan, Jangkar, and Sletreng. Water samples were taken from the inlet (intake channel) in each pond. The data obtained was then analyzed using statistical methods, namely multiple regression analysis. The results of the correlation analysis showed that the relationship between total vibrio and alkalinity and organic matter during the study was shown by a correlation value of R = 0.226, which means the correlation between alkalinity and organic matter to total vibrio was 0.226. The R² value indicates a coefficient of determination of 0.51, which means that the effect of alkalinity and organic matter on total vibrio is very weak, namely 5.10%.
