Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of Handout oriented scientific approach to science learning outcomes-physics class IX students of SMP Earth 2 Padang in the 1st half of the school year 2014/2015. The research is a "quasi experiment" with the draft "only randomized control group design. Sampling was done by using purposive sampling. Data research include learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. The research instrument in the form of a written test for cognitive learning outcomes, observation sheet for affective learning outcomes, and the scoring rubric for the assessment of psychomotor performance. Data analysis of learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor the experimental class is better than the control class. Conclusion of the study is the hypothesis that there is a significant effect of giving handouts oriented scientific approach to science learning outcomes-Physics Students junior class IX Earth 2 fields can be accepted at the 0.05 significance level.

Abstract

This study is based on the background that in physics learning teaching materials in the form of Student’s Worksheet (LKPD) is necessary, so that learning is not inclined to the teacher-centered. In addition, the students’ competence is still low in terms of levels of cognitive processes can be improved through the use of LKPD. This study aims to produce the products such as oriented LKPD complexity of content and cognitive processes in the material vectors, also to know the quality of LKPD terms of validity and practicality. This study is the research and development using the 4D model. This model consists of 4 stages, such as define stage, design stage, develop stage, and disseminate stage. However, in this study the 4D model reduced to 3D, so the study was only done to develop stage. The subjects of the study consist of three lecturers from the Physics Department, FMIPA UNP as a validators and 2 Physics teachers SMAN 10 Padang as validators and practitioners. Data were analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative analysis. Based on the research that has been conducted, it was resulted the LKPD oriented complexity of content and cognitive processes. Product research is categorized as very valid aspects LKPD requirements, aspects of the complexity of the content in LKPD, aspects of the complexity level of cognitive processes in LKPD, and aspects of learning model components the guided inquiry in LKPD with an average values of 81.8. Product research is also categorized as very practical by teachers with average values of 84.6 from the aspect of completeness, scope, presentation, benefits, and opportunities implementation of LKPD

Abstract

One of the factors that cause low learning outcomes of learners is the low ability of learners in solving physics problems. This problem solving ability can be improved through learning using LKPD of physics by orient problem-solving strategy toward the achievement of the competence of students of Class X SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of LKPD physics-oriented problem-solving strategies to the achievement of competence learners.The type of research conducted is quasi experiment with randomized control group design postest only design. The study population included all MIA class X students enrolled in the even semester of the academic year 2016/2017. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. Research data is the value of competence knowledge, attitude and skills of learners. The research instrument is the final test to measure the knowledge competence, the observation sheet to measure the attitude competency, the performance appraisal sheet to measure the competency of the skill. The research data were analyzed by two-equation equality test. Two average equality tests were performed for the learning result value of each competency of the two sample classes.Based on the data analysis, the average score for the experimental class and control class are 83,47 and 78,16, the attitude competence is 87,04 and 79,8 and the skills competence is 88,7 and 83 , 3. Data for the knowledge, attitude and skill competencies of the two sample classes are normally distributed and have homogeneous variance, so that the two equality tests are tested with t test. From the calculation results obtained t count value for knowledge competence that is 2.773 and t table = 2,00; On attitude competence obtained t arithmetic that is 7,1911 and t table = 2,00; And on skill competence t obtained is 4.189 and t table = 2,00. In the three competencies are obtained t arithmetic> t table, means t count is outside the acceptance area Ho, so Hi accepted. Thus, the conclusion of this research is there is a significant influence from the application of LKPD of physics by orient problem-solving strategy toward the achievement of the competence of students of Class X SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung accepted

Abstract

This research was motivated by the demands of 2013’s curriculum toward the dimensions of knowledge which taught in physics learning and and the levels of cognitive processing which should be trained in learning. Instructional materials and student worksheet (LKPD) used generally do not contain the four dimensions of knowledge and have not been trained the six levels cognitive processes according to Bloom's revision taxonomy. Based on the preliminary study result was known that the competence level of knowledge’s students in cognitive processes C4, C5, and C6 were still very low. One of the solutions is to use LKPD oriented to content complexity and cognitive processes. The purpose of this study was to produce a LKPD content complexity and cognitive processes which are valid, practical, and effective for physics learning in SMA/MA. Research conducted included the type of Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D models development which was reduced into 3D, so this study consist of three stages, which are define, design, and develop. LKPD trials conducted with one group pretest-posttest design. Subjects of research consist of 5 validators (three lecturers of Physics, and 2 Physics teachers SMAN 4 Padang), 3 Physics teachers tested the practicality of LKPD, and eleventh grade students of MIPA1 SMAN 4 Padang. The results of the research showed the LKPD is very valid and very practical, the validity of rate is 3.77 (expressed in percent 94.5%) then the practicality rate based on teachers’ opinion is 3.81 (expressed in percent 95%), and practicality rate based on students’ opinion is 3.57 (expressed in percent 89.25%). The LKPD on learning material of Light and Optical Instrument showed increased understanding with n-gain of 0.53 on medium category. LKPD can enhance high order thinking capabilities of students in Light and Optical instrument materials

Abstract

One of the goals of learning is that students' cognitive abilities increase. In an effort to improve cognitive abilities, there are times when students need to get guidance so that their thinking skills increase from the average ability they have. One form of guidance is the scaffolding strategy. This study aims to overcome these problems by producing student worksheets based on scaffolding strategies to improve cognitive abilities, and determine their worth in terms of validity and practicality. This research was conducted in class X SMAN 2 Pariaman in odd semester 2019/2020. This research is a type of research and development (R & D) using the 4D development model which is reduced to 3D (define, design and development). The student worksheet developed involved 5 validators and 2 physics teachers as practitioners and 1 class to test practicality. Instruments of validity and practicality are used after going through discussions with the validator with indicators of development goals. The analysis technique used in this research is quantitative analysis using the moment kappa formula. The results obtained from the feasibility test and practicality of scaffolding-based LKPD based on validator assessment are categorized as valid, with an average value of kappa moment of 0.85 in the very high category. Based on practitioners' assessment, it is categorized as practical with an average kappa moment of 0.89 by teachers and 0.74 by students. So that scaffolding-based LKPD can be said to be valid and practically used in high school physics class X learning.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the poor quality of the competence of  physics students in high school caused by various factors, including the existence of teaching materials are applied educators. Students worksheet (LKPD) is one form of teaching materials. The purpose of this study was to find the effect of application LKPD based on dimension of knowledge and cognitive processes in Problem Based Learning (PBL) toward the competence of physics students at grade X SMAN 7 Padang. The type of research was a quasi experiment research with randomized control group only design. The population was all students at grade X MIA SMAN 7 Padang who were registered in the 2016/2017. The technique sampling was purposive sampling. The data of research are aspects of attitude acquired through observation sheets, aspects of the knowledge acquired through achievement test, and aspects of the skills acquired through the sheet performance. Materials physics involved in this study about the uniform circular motion and dynamic of objects motion. To find the effect of application LKPD done by statistical t-test, followed by a simple linear regression analysis and test product moment correlation to the variables of the study. Based on data analysis competence of physics students in aspects of attitudes, knowledge, and skills of the experimental class respectively 81.79, 83.3, and 81.74 is higher than the control class is 78.85, 78.62, and 78.30. T test results that there is a significant difference between the competence of physics students learners using LKPD based on dimension of knowledge and cognitive processes compared to those without. From the results of data analysis with a significance level of 0.05 was obtained effect of application LKPD based on dimension of knowledge and cognitive processes in the aspect of attitudes, knowledge, and skills, respectively for 13.88%, 33.27% and 14.49%.

Abstract

Achievement of student competencies in learning physics is still relatively low. The results of the distribution of questionnaires in the UNP Laboratory Development High School showed that teaching materials and learning approaches used in the learning process were less varied so that they were unable to provide adequate competency achievement for students. The teaching material used in the study is interactive teaching material with character values in a scientific approach developed by Haflianita Hasanah (2018) which has been tested as valid and practical. As for the effectiveness of teaching materials has not been done. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of Interactive Teaching Materials Loaded with Character Values in Scientific Approaches to Wave Material and Optics Towards Increased Competence of Class XI Students in the UNP Laboratory Development Laboratory.The type of research used is Pre-experimental Designs with One-Group Pretest-posttest. The sample in this study was class XI MIA 2 with a total of 30 students, taken by purposive sampling technique. Data collection tools in the form of pre-test and post-test written tests for knowledge competencies, observation sheets for attitude competencies, scoring rubrics for skills competencies. Analysis of the effectiveness test was performed using a correlated t test. After conducting research and continuing with analyzing data, it can be concluded that Interactive Teaching Materials with Character Values in Scientific Approaches on Wave Material and Optics are effectively used in learning at a real level of 0.05 which can be seen from an increase in students' learning competency in the aspect of knowledge at the time after using Interactive Teaching Materials. The results of the effectiveness based on the calculated value obtained is smaller than the value of the table. The t value obtained is -31.12 while the value of -table is equal to -1.701.

Abstract

The physic competence achievement of SMA Negeri 7 Padang students still does not meet the expectation. The use of LKPD oriented on Bloom’s taxonomy revision with the implementation of scientific approach is believed to be effective to reach the expected physic competence of the students. This research is aimed to analyze the effect of using LKPD oriented on Bloom’s taxonomy revision with the implementation of scientific approach setting toward physic competence achievement of grade X students of SMA Negeri 7 Padang.Type of research is quasi experiment with Posttest Only Control Group Design. The study population was all students of class X MIA at SMAN 7 Padang enrolled in the Academic Year 2016/2017. Sampling was done by cluster sampling technique. Samples were class X MIA 1 as the control class and class X MIA 4 as an experimental class with a number of sample members of each class is 31 people. This research data includes data competence of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Data were analyzed using the equality test two averages (t test), simple linear regression and correlation tests on the real level of 0.05 to the competence of knowledge, using the equality test two averages (t test) for competency skills, attitude and competencies using trend graphs change in attitude.The results of data analysis the average attainment of experimental class attitude at 79.15 is higher than the average grade of control that is equal to 77.2. On average the attainment of knowledge of the experimental class of 79 is higher than the average grade control is 75. The average achievement experimental class skill competencies of 83.3 is higher than the average grade of control that is 77.5. The test results of data analysis concluded that the LKPD oriented on Bloom’s taxonomy revision  in setting the scientific approach can improve the competence of Physics students of class X SMAN 7 Padang. Great influence exerted LKPD oriented on Bloom’s taxonomy revision to the attainment of knowledge of students by 72.25%.

Abstract

Physics learning is aimed to develop the competence of students that includes aspects of the attitude, knowledge, and skill. The learning objectives are grouped by six levels of cognitive processes that are tailored to the revision of Bloom's taxonomy. The sixth level are combined with the four dimensions of knowledge contained in the physics lesson content. In fact, the attainment of students is not as expected. One of the  solution offered is the use of quality teaching materials, for example worksheet. In general, the school has not been found worksheet which includes four dimensions of knowledge, and six levels of cognitive processes. In this study developed worksheet oriented complexity of content and cognitive processes in a static fluid material. Worksheet design in terms of validity, the practicality and effectiveness. The method used is a research and development (R & D). The model of this research is 4D reduced to 3D comprising the step of define, design, and development. This research subjectis 30 students of class XI SMAN 10 Padang. The object of this research is the design of LKPD oriented complexity of contents and cognitive processes in the static fluid material for learning physics class XI SMA/MA.Collecting data in this study using a validation sheet given to the validator. Data practicalities of using instruments distributed to the practicalities of Physics teachers and students in class XI MIA. Efficacy data derived from the value of N-gain. The research showed the validity of the validator is at 82.51 with very valid criteria. Practicalities of test results by the teacher obtained a value of 94.58 with a very practical criterion and by students at 90.61 with very practical criteria. The effectiveness of the test results obtained by the value of N-gain of 0.67 with the criteria of being. Thus this research has resulted LKPD complexity oriented content and cognitive processes are valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the non-optimal achievement of competence of learners to physics. To improve the competence of learners, developed teaching material in sheet form K0erja Students (LKPD) Complexity Oriented Content and Cognitive Processes.This study included research into the types of development (research and development). The development model used is the model 4-D comprising the step of defining (define), design (design), development (development), and the spread (disseminate). LKPD trials conducted prior to 5 people validator. Furthermore LKPD tested the practicality of the two teachers and a large number of learners. The final stage of this study is testing the effectiveness is limited to a number of learners.Validity test results obtained LKPD overall average value of 3.00, test the practicalities of teachers SMAN 4 Padang obtained an average value of 3.37 as well as the practicalities of test results obtained learners speserta average value of 3.37. Based on these results, we can conclude that Complexity Content Student and Cognitive Process Worksheet generated in the category valid and practical. While the effectiveness of the test results obtained by value Student Worksheet gain a score of 0.47, meaning that the researchers developed of Student Worksheet that are in the moderate category and can be used to improve the competence of learners
