Abstract

One learning model that supports improving critical thinking skills and developing 21st century education is the PBL model. This research aims to describe the quality of the STEAM approach-based PBL model learning tools development for Students' Critical Thinking Ability on the concept of sound wave using the ADDIE development model. The results of the validation carried out by three validators obtained an average percentage for the learning implementation plan of 93.08%, student activity sheets of 92.58%, teaching materials of 90.82%, and critical thinking tests of 92.72%, and all included in the very valid criteria. The practicality of learning tools is seen from learning implementation of 90.72% with excellent criteria, the student's response to the learning tools was very positive with the ease aspect percentage of students' responses was 86.67%, the enthusiasm aspect percentage of 93.33%, the motivated aspect percentage of 86.67% and the involvement aspect percentage of 83.33%. The effectiveness of learning tools in student activity of 91.67% with excellent criteria, the results of the critical thinking test increased by 49.00%, from previously the overall average score of students was 30.33% to 79.33% and the effectiveness category through the N-Gain test was 0.71 with high criteria

Abstract

The present work seeks to develop physics learning tools by integrating PhET simulations with problem-based learning models on energy and its transformation on Vocational High School in class X of SMK Negeri 1 Sentani. It applied the 4D model, consisting of the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The developed teaching modules have met the quality criteria of the learning material analyzed based on aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Based on validity, approximately 85% of the designed learning tools are categorized as Very Valid. Based on practicality, the learning implementation can be effectively applied 87.48%, and students responded very positively with a weight of 4. Meanwhile, students were actively involved based on effectiveness, with approximately 84.24% active participation. Furthermore, based on student learning outcomes, it indicated that 97% of students completed, with only 2 out of 32 students failing. Student learning outcomes tend to be higher in the cognitive domains of C4 (analysis) and C5 (evaluation) compared to C3 (application) and C6 (creation). This research resulted in the suitable learning tools for class X students at SMK Negeri 1 Sentani.

Abstract

This research is development research (R&D) to obtain quality validation in producing animated video learning media to increase the learning interest of class XI Deaf students at Special Schools in SLB Negeri Kota Gorontalo. The media development model used in this research is the ASSURE model consists of six stages: Analyze learner characteristics; state Objectives; select methods, media, and materials; utilize media and materials; require Learner Participation; and evaluate. The instruments used in this research consisted of student activity observation sheet, learning implementation observation sheet, expert validation sheet, student learning result test sheets, and student questionnaires. The validity of the media received an average score of ≥ 3.00, namely 3.93, and was categorized as very valid overall. The validation indicators obtained an average score of ≥ 3.00 for the overall learning material, namely 3.82 in the very valid category. It is concluded that the validity of animated video learning media in increasing the learning interest of deaf students in SLB Negeri Kota Gorontalo.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model on temperature and heat concepts on student learning outcomes. This research is experimental research, with the research design used being a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used in this research was the total sampling technique. The population in this study was all class VII of MTs Al-Khairaat Kwandang for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample in this study consisted of 3 classes, namely Class VII B as the experimental class, Class VII A as replication 1, and Class VII C as replication 2, where the experimental and replication classes were determined randomly by drawing lots. Research data was collected using test techniques, then the data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, which include normality tests, hypothesis tests, and n-gain analysis. The results obtained for all sample classes, the average for class VII students is greater than the Criteria for Achieving Learning, which is shown by the average value of the experimental class of 85.49, replication 1 of 84.18, and replication 2 of 82.92. Based on the results of the course average normalized gain obtained by the experimental class was 0.78, replication 1 was 0.76, and replication 2 was 0.75, which means that all sample classes are in the high category. Thus, the PBL learning model has a significant effect on student learning outcomes in concepts of temperature and heat.

Abstract

Learning media is an essential component in supporting learning objectives. Teachers are expected to make optimal use of these media. This research aims to develop interactive learning media through crossword puzzles integrated with virtual laboratories that are valid, practical, and effective. This research is included in the type of development research that refers to the ADDIE model Research and Development Model: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The tools used in this research are the validation sheet, learning process implementation observation sheet, student response questionnaire, student activity observation sheet, and learning outcomes test. The research results show that the interactive crossword puzzle integrated virtual laboratory learning media is categorized as valid, practical, and effective because the combination of learning and games provides a deep and enjoyable learning experience for users. Meanwhile, the virtual laboratory allows experiments to be conducted virtually so that they can be accessed anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

Teaching modules are independent curriculum bodies which replace learning plans. This study aims to development of teaching module based on independent learning to optimize students’ conceptual knowledge on the motion topic. The development of teaching modules using the ADDIE model consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, and implementation. This research used 15 class VII students as teachers at SMP Negeri 3 Satap Tabongo. Based on the validation results from three validators, the average percentage for the teaching module was 81.25%, which was in the very valid category and suitable for use in learning the motion topic. Based on the practicality of the Independent Curriculum-Based Teaching Module to optimize students' conceptual knowledge, it meets the practicality criteria with a score of 93.18% for teachers and student activities of 91.67%.and the results of the student responses were very good. Based on the effectiveness of the Independent Curriculum Based Teaching Module to optimize students' conceptual knowledge, it meets the criteria for effectiveness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi bagaimana pemanfaatan media digital dalam pembelajaran IPA dapat menguatkan Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Batudaa dengan memotret kecenderungan SRL pada delapan dimensi inti serta mengidentifikasi area intervensi yang relevan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain survei cross-sectional. Instrumen SRL terdiri dari 24 butir (3 butir per dimensi: efikasi diri, motivasi, perencanaan/manajemen waktu, metakognisi & monitoring, strategi tugas & upaya, pengaturan lingkungan, dukungan sosial digital, emosi negatif) dengan skala respons empat tingkat; skor emosi negatif dibalik untuk menjaga interpretasi “semakin tinggi = semakin baik”. Hasil menunjukkan profil SRL kategori sedang secara keseluruhan, dengan kekuatan relatif pada efikasi diri dan motivasi, diikuti metakognisi serta perencanaan/manajemen waktu. Strategi tugas, pengaturan lingkungan, dan dukungan sosial digital berada pada tingkat sedang dan memerlukan optimalisasi. Emosi negatif muncul sebagai aspek terlemah, menandakan kebutuhan penguatan regulasi emosi. Temuan ini menyiratkan bahwa integrasi media digital seperti simulasi interaktif, modul/asessment berbasis platform, dan alat kolaboratif berpotensi menumbuhkan strategi perencanaan, monitoring, refleksi, serta dukungan sosial-digital, sekaligus mengurangi hambatan emosional. Disimpulkan bahwa peta profil SRL ini dapat menjadi dasar perancangan ekosistem pembelajaran IPA berbasis media digital yang lebih adaptif, kolaboratif, dan berkelanjutan di konteks sekolah.

Abstract

Rendahnya capaian hasil belajar siswa menjadi salah satu alasan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini. Selain itu, diperlukan strategi pembelajaran yang dapat mendorong keikutsertaan siswa secara responsif, memberikan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna, serta selaras dengan kemajuan teknologi dalam bidang pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana pendekatan deep learning berbasis Smart Apps Creator (SAC) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pesawat sederhana. Subjek penelitian yakni siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Telaga, yang dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas replikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan menggunakan desain eksperimen tipe One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Teknik analisis data yang diimplementasikan yakni dilakukan melalui uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, sedangkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test berbantuan SPSS 27. Selain itu, dilakukan perhitungan N-Gain untuk meninjau peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkan perlakuan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa ada peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah diimplementasikan pendekatan deep learning berbasis Smart Apps Creator. Ada perbedaan signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest, dengan nilai signifikansi Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test di bawah 0,05. Nilai posttest kelas eksperimen rata-rata 74,67, sedangkan nilai kelas replikasi 72,06. Selain itu, hasil perhitungan N-Gain yang masuk dalam kategori sedang menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang diimplementasikan cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa integrasi pendekatan deep learning dengan Smart Apps Creator dapat mewujudkan pembelajaran yang aktif, kontekstual, dan bermakna, yang pada akhirnya membantu siswa menguasai konsep IPA secara lebih mendalam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini muncul dari permasalahan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dan belum efektifnya pemahaman konsep gaya dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan guna mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan deep learning berbantuan quiziz terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII pada materi gaya di SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Utara. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen, berupa nonequivalent control group design sebagai rancangan penelitiannya. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 20 siswa pada kelas eksperimen serta 22 siswa pada kelas kontrol, dengan pemilihan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar yang meliputi pretest dan posttest sebanyak 20 soal pilihan ganda dan juga didukung lembar observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji independent sample t test, serta uji N-Gain, yang dibantu oleh IBM SPSS Statistics 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan deep learning berbantuan quiziz berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol tanpa quiziz. Sebelum analisis lebih lanjut, dilakukan uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Hasilnya menunjukkan rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 78,00, sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 68,41. Nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen mencapai 0,6527, juga lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol yang memperoleh nilai 0,4800. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan deep learning berbantuan quiziz mampu meningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

This study analyzes the quality of a science test instrument on inheritance, based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and scientific literacy, in terms of validity, reliability, difficulty level, discrimination index, and distractor effectiveness. A descriptive quantitative approach with an ex post facto item analysis design was used. The participants were 28 students, and the instrument consisted of 20 multiple-choice items developed according to HOTS and scientific literacy indicators. Validity was tested using point-biserial correlation, reliability using Kuder-Richardson (KR-20), and item difficulty and discrimination indices were analyzed through correct response proportions and comparisons between upper and lower groups. Results showed that 85% of the items were valid and 15% invalid. The reliability coefficient was 0.8827, indicating high consistency. In terms of discrimination, 60% of items were very good, 25% good, 10% fair, and 5% poor. Most items were moderately difficult (90%), and 10% were difficult, with no easy items. Overall, the instrument demonstrates good quality and is suitable for learning evaluation, although some items require revision to further optimize measurement accuracy.
