Abstract

One of the main challenges that education will always face in the future is the change in teaching methods. Conventional teaching approaches and strategies are increasingly seen as less able to adapt to the digital society. The development of projection mapping in education opens up opportunities to create interactive learning experiences by transforming classrooms into visual media that support conceptual understanding. The purpose of this study is to find out how education uses projection mapping, the effectiveness of projection mapping in educating and find out what technologies are used. The research method used in this study is a systematic literature review (SLR) with a prism approach (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). The Prisma method provides a standard framework that improves quality in the process of systematic review and research replication. This shows that projection mapping is a very effective and innovative tool in creating immersive educational experiences in various contexts, including festivals, museums, and education, where video mapping has been shown to be able to convey messages in an interesting and easy-to-understand way through the combination of narrative, visual, and audio elements. Overall, projection mapping not only expands the boundaries of visual experience, but also offers a more effective and enjoyable educational method, and shows great potential to increase engagement, understanding, and appreciation of art, culture, and education.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a digital comic that raises the legend of 'Curug Awang' as an intangible cultural heritage medium for the Alpha generation. The alpha generation is the target user of research products because they are very visual tech-savvy, and familiar with smartphones and digital media. The research method applies the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model. The respondents consisted of two media experts, two linguists, 31 Alpha generations, and 27 teachers. Product testing showed that digital comics met the validation criteria, achieving an average score of 3.55 from media experts and 3.45 from linguists. At the user acceptance testing stage, Generation Alpha rated it at 83.46%, while teachers rated it at 84.6%. These results show that digital comic products are a valuable educational medium. Qualitative data revealed that these comics positively influenced the Alpha generation's understanding of the important values in the legend, namely perseverance and strong determination needed in the pursuit of knowledge, as well as the importance of environmental conservation. Teachers recognize the potential of digital comics to enrich the learning experience and convey meaningful moral messages to the younger generation. The results of this research not only succeeded in documenting and revitalizing the legend of Curug Awang but also contributed to the preservation of intangible culture, as well as overcoming the gap that has not been widely developed digital comics as a transformation medium to increase the awareness of the younger generation about local cultural heritage through interesting and easily accessible media.

Abstract

Mental disorders are conditions that can affect anyone, and college students are particularly vulnerable to them, especially anxiety disorders. Students experience anxiety due to several factors, including academic demands, economic conditions, and a lack of emotional support from those closest to them. The purpose of this study is to determine the condition of students when facing anxiety in the lecture process, the interventions used to reduce anxiety in students, the role of journaling in reducing anxiety, and the application of visual elements in journaling. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA approach, through the stages of identification, screening, and inclusion. The results of the study show that students experiencing anxiety need an intervention to reduce their anxiety levels. There are several interventions found, one of which is journaling. However, journaling is considered to provide insufficient motivation for students to do it consistently. Therefore, an additional approach is needed in the form of applying visual elements in journaling to increase motivation and the relaxation effect on students with anxiety.

Abstract

The spread of hoax news among the elderly in Indonesia has been increasing due to the ease of access to information on the internet, where many elderly individuals still lack the necessary skills to filter the information they receive. Digital literacy plays a crucial role in addressing this issue, as it helps the elderly develop critical thinking skills to assess the credibility of news before sharing it. This study aims to evaluate the role of digital literacy in assisting the elderly in identifying misinformation and exploring supporting technologies in the verification process, enabling them to be more independent in filtering circulating news. This research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to analyze various academic literature relevant to the research topic from 2014 to 2024, focusing on strategies to enhance digital literacy and the effectiveness of technology in helping the elderly recognize hoax news. The findings indicate that elderly individuals with strong digital skills are more capable of distinguishing accurate information and tend to be more cautious before sharing news with others, while technologies such as chatbots on social media can serve as effective tools for quickly and easily verifying information. Therefore, improving digital literacy through educational approaches and utilizing artificial intelligence-based technology is a crucial step in combating hoaxes in the digital era while enhancing the quality of information consumption among the elderly.

Abstract

The consumption of ultra-processed food (UPF) poses a serious risk of cognitive impairment to children during their critical brain development phase. Effective educational media is crucial, as animation is a highly engaging and proven medium for children, with 90% of them choosing animation for education in previous research. This study, therefore, aims to systematically review the topic by addressing three key research questions (RQs): (1) To what extent does UPF consumption affect children's cognitive function and health? (2) Why are animations the most effective media for transferring nutritional knowledge? (3) How effective is animation-based educational media in raising children's awareness regarding UPF risks? This study adopts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, adhering to the PRISMA guidelines. The systematic literature search gathered scientific articles from reputable world libraries. The results confirm that UPF consumption is a significant factor contributing to cognitive decline and obesity due to its high sugar and low micronutrient content. Conversely, animation is proven effective as it significantly increases children's focus and comprehension. The core conclusion is that educational animation media serves as a strategic and highly effective tool for fostering children's awareness of the dangers of consuming UPF and promoting preventative behavior.

Abstract

Planning a future career according to one's desires and skills is a hope for many people. This study was conducted to systematically review what influences adolescents in planning their future careers and whether illustration-based books can be a medium that can help them in achieving success in future career planning. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with reference to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines with data sources originating from international publishers and resulting in 51 articles that meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the review found that future career planning is influenced by various factors both internally and externally, both of which have the same line in influencing motivation and emotions in individuals. Technology-based counseling guidance is needed, and interactive digital books can be a medium in conveying information in a fun way. Further research is recommended to focus more on emotions by designing fun interactive digital book media to increase adolescents' confidence in future careers that suit their desires.
