Abstract

The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Grobogan Regency remains high, with Antenatal Care (ANC) coverage falling short of national targets. The Wirosari II Health Center reports particularly low K6 coverage at 37.92%. This study evaluates ANC service implementation at Purwodadi I and Wirosari II Health Centers to provide improvement recommendations. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation with midwives, maternal and child health workers, and pregnant women. Data validation was conducted via triangulation, and analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model. Findings reveal adequate human resources, but uneven health worker training. Infrastructure is sufficient, though equipment damage hinders Wirosari II. Service procedures align with standards, but SOP violations and limited nutrition personnel were noted in Purwodadi I. While K1 and K4 targets are achieved in Purwodadi I, Wirosari II struggles with recording and networking issues. Overall, ANC implementation in Purwodadi I is effective, while Wirosari II requires improvements in data recording, health worker training, and resource management. These findings provide actionable recommendations to enhance maternal health services in Grobogan Regency.

Abstract

Persons with disabilities are a vulnerable group that often face barriers in emergency situations, including disasters. Therefore, strengthening preparedness capacity needs to be carried out from an early stage. The SI-PANDAI program (First Aid Preparedness for Disability Companions) was implemented as an empowerment effort to improve basic first aid knowledge and skills at the elementary level of Special Schools (SLB) in Pekalongan Regency. The activities were conducted through socialization, demonstrations, simulations, and hands-on practice using a participatory learning approach. Program evaluation was carried out through observation of student engagement and feedback from teachers. The results showed that students actively participated in all training sessions, were able to practice simple first aid steps such as treating minor wounds, performing basic evacuation, and recognizing disaster warning signs. SLB teachers responded positively, stating that the program was beneficial and should be continued sustainably. In conclusion, the implementation of SI-PANDAI proved effective as an adaptive empowerment innovation for first aid preparedness among children with special needs and has the potential to support the development of disaster-resilient inclusive schools.

Abstract

World Healt Organization (WHO) data estimates that 175 million children under the age of 1-5 years in the world are affected by malnutrition if efforts to reduce the prevalence of stunting continue continuously, projected to be 157 million by 2025. The purpose of the study was to determine the Determinants of the Incidence of Stunting in Toddlers in the Banda Sakti Health Center Working Area, Lhokseumawe City. The research design uses quantitative with a Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers who had toddlers at the Banda Sakti Health Center, Lhokseumawe City, which was 1,672 toddlers, with a sample size of 99 mothers who had toddlers. Data analysis using univariate analysis, bivariate. The results showed that there was an influence of feeding, personal hygiene, parenting, on the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the Banda Sakti Health Center Working Area of Lhokseumawe City. It is recommended that the Banda Sakti Health Center be able to create interesting education for mothers who have toddlers so that they want to bring their children to the Puskesmas or Posyandu so that their children's growth and development are monitored, as well as how to process diverse and nutritious foods so that children get good nutritional intake as an early effort to reduce the incidence of stunting and improve family health.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2023 estimates that currently the global prevalence of hypertension is 43% of the total world population. Meanwhile, the hypertension report at the Pelawan Health Center in 2021 was 301 cases, in 2022 there were 324 cases, in 2023 there were 397 cases. The purpose of the study was to analyze the factors that influence medication compliance in elderly people with hypertension in the Pelawan Sarolangun Health Center Working Area. The research design used Analytical Survey method with Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were all elderly hypertensive patients in the Pelawan Sarolangun Health Center Working Area, namely 73 patients who were all made into research samples with total population techniques. Data analysis using univariate analysis, bivariate with chi-square test. The results showed that there was an effect of motivation p = 0.006, family support p = 0.004 and health worker support p = 0.031. The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence of motivation, family support, health worker support. The dominant factor, namely family support, influences compliance with taking medication in elderly people with hypertension in the Pelawan Sarolangun Health Center Working Area. It is suggested that the Pelawan Sarolangun Community Health Center is expected to be taken into consideration and input for the health center to be active in field counseling activities and use social media as a promotional medium to increase the acceleration of healing of hypertension in the elderly, so as to improve health status in the elderly.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of extensive, intensive interval training methods and the vital lung capacity of futsal athlete students to improve the vo2max. This type of research was quasi-experimental with a 2x2 factorial design. 24 male student futsal athletes, age 15.95±0.55, height 164.61±6.90, and weight 53.23±8.11, met the inclusion criteria, signed informed consent and participated in this study. The interventions were extensive interval training methods for running on a 20-meter track and intensive interval training for running on a 100-meter track. Treatment is done 16 times, three times a week, and progressive sets, repetitions, time, and rest. Vo2max was measured with a multistage fitness test, and lung vital capacity was measured with spirometry SP70B. Data analysis used two-way ANOVA, the data was tested for normality and homogeneity. The study showed that extensive pretest 37,53±1,37 and posttest 50,68±1,00 (p=0.05), and intensive pretest 37,04±1,45 and posttest 49,18±1,37 (p=0.05) interval training improves VO2Max, repestivully. There is no interaction between extensive and intensive training methods on lung vital capacity. The study concludes that extensive and intensive training methods are useful to improve the vo2max of students' futsal athletes. The extensive interval training method is more effective in improving vo2max.
