Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze and describe 1) The influence of academic supervision on teacher performance 2) the effect of leadership effectiveness on teacher performance 3) the influence of academic supervision and leadership effectiveness on teacher performance. The method used in this study refers to quantitative description. This research was conducted at SDN Koba and Lubuk Besar sub-districts with a sample of 82 people. Data collection techniques are carried out through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Validity tests are conducted through expert and construct validation tests, and instruments are declared valid. Data analysis is carried out through prerequisite tests, namely normality, linearity, multicolonicity, and heteroscedasticity. After prerequisite testing, the analysis continues with regression tests. The results obtained stated that partially: 1) academic supervision affects teacher performance with a significant influence, namely 67%, 2) leadership effectiveness also contributes 51%. Simultaneous testing states that academic supervision and leadership effectiveness contribute significantly to teacher performance, which is 71% and the remaining 29% is influenced by other factors, therefore hypotheses regarding the influence of the two independent variables on the dependent variable can be stated.

Abstract

Interactive learning can be one solution to attract students' interest in participating in learning activities and help to answer the problem of students' low understanding of mathematics. Liveworksheet is a platform that can be used in the educational sector. This research aims to produce teaching materials that are valid, practical and have the potential to influence improving student learning outcomes. The research method used is the design research model development studies method which aims to develop a product. The subjects of this research were 42 class X students of a private vocational school in the city of Cimahi. The liveworksheets-assisted teaching materials developed are adapted to the steps of the problem-based learning model. First, students are introduced to a contextual problem and then guided through questions that allow students to conclude the results of their analysis. The teaching materials developed have gone through a validation stage from material experts, meaning that the teaching materials are in accordance with the material to be taught. The research results showed that the teaching materials developed were proven valid based on the assessment results of two material expert validators and were proven practical from the results of one-on-one and small-group tests. Data analysis used in this research uses inferential statistics with the type of processing of two dependent samples. The teaching materials developed have been proven to be able to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes when viewed from the Minimum Completeness Criteria.

Abstract

Non-profit sports organizations were developed with the aim of developing athletes into elite athletes who are currently still very dependent on people and voluntary institutions. The development of non-profit sports organizations in Indonesia has the opportunity to develop, because the non-profit sports organizations that are developing are still in the European region. This article aims to provide a general overview of the factors supporting the success of developing non-profit sports organizations in Indonesia. This research uses library observations through library analysis on mendeley.com with the keywords non-profit sports innovation management with steps 1) owning and searching a database, 2) data retrieval and 3) data analysis. Based on the Mendeley database for the last 10 years from 2013 to 2023, 51 relevant articles were found, and up to 8 articles met the eligibility criteria. The limitation of this research is that it can only use the Mendeley database which comes from books, papers, articles, conferences. The findings of this literature study conclude that managerial human resource capabilities in organizations and openness to technological innovation are needed to develop non-profit sports organizations. Some innovations that can be developed are innovations in services from the physical and non-physical fields. This research contributes to the scientific study of the development of non-profit sports organizations in Indonesia as a new force in the development of national sports innovation, which of course still requires more in-depth study in accordance with current needs

Abstract

This article explores the phenomenon of repeated Hajj in Indonesia through the guideline of Maqashid Sunnah, intending to provide a critical reinterpretation of this practice. As one of the fundamental pillars of Islam, Hajj has deep spiritual and social significance. However, the trend of repeated Hajj in Indonesian society has raised various controversies, including social, economic, and religious implications. By employing a Maqashid Sunnah approach, this article intends to uncover the underlying objectives of Sharia behind the Hajj rituals as revealed in Hadiths. Furthermore, it explores the implications of this phenomenon on public understanding of Hajj and its religious values. The results show that the primary purpose of prescribing Hajj in Hadith is to ensure the maintenance of the Holy Land every year and to perform Hajj for every Muslim who has not yet done so. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performed Hajj only once during his lifetime, despite having the opportunity to perform it thrice in 8 AH, 9 AH, and 10 AH. For him, social welfare was prioritized over personal benefit, leading him to focus on disseminating Islamic teachings and providing sustenance to those in need, caring for orphans, and engaging in jihad for the sake of Allah. The findings of this analysis are expected to provide a broader understanding of the meaning of Hajj in Indonesian society and cultivate awareness of the importance of proper understanding of Maqashid Sunnah in religious practice.

Abstract

This research investigates the diplomatic correspondence between the Acehnese Sultanate and the Ottoman Empire during the 16th century, shedding light on the transregional alliances that shaped geopolitical dynamics in Southeast Asia. The study employs a structured historical methodology, encompassing heuristics (data collection), verification (authentication of sources and authors), interpretation (critical analysis), and historiography (historical synthesis). The findings reveal a series of preserved letters in the Ottoman archives, documenting official communications during the reign of Sultan Alauddin al-Kahar of Aceh, notably, correspondence with Ottoman rulers Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and Sultan Selim II highlights Aceh’s strategic efforts to secure Ottoman support against Portuguese expansion in the Indian Ocean. Sultan Alauddin al-Kahar’s letters detail three primary requests: formally recognizing Aceh as an Ottoman vassal state, military assistance including cannon makers, naval vessels, and fortification materials, and the dispatch of military advisors and trainers. The records further confirm that the Ottoman Empire responded positively, demonstrating a willingness to assist Aceh, reflecting shared interests in countering Portuguese influence. This study contributes to a nuanced understanding of early modern diplomacy and the interconnected nature of political and military networks across the Indian Ocean, emphasizing the Ottoman Empire’s pivotal role in supporting regional powers like Aceh. Keywords: response, Acehnese, Ottoman, sultan.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the extent of the ability of teachers in schools to use the independent teaching application. That way, it can also be known what obstacles arise in the implementation of the independent curriculum with the use of the independent teaching application and how digital-based school management can play a role in improving the quality of teachers in teaching. The study used a quantitative research motto with a sample of 95 high school teacher respondents in Seberang Ulu II district, Palembang. Partially, their teaching platform and digital-based school management have a significant effect on the quality of teacher teaching. Meanwhile, simultaneously (Together) the independent teaching platform and digital-based school management have a significant effect on the quality of teacher teaching. This can be seen from the value of the f test where f is calculated as 59.910 and the value of f table is 3.09 so that the value of f calculation is greater than that of f table. This means that the variables of the Independent Teaching Platform and digital-based school management have a positive and significant effect on the quality of teacher teaching.
