Abstract

Introduction: This study was aimed to examine the effect of beans positions of the fruit and Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) on the growth of the cocoa seedlings (Theobroma cacao ) in early nurseries. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted at the agricultural experiment land, Universitas Tjut Nyak Dhien, Medan Helvetia District, Medan City from April to June 2020. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) within two factors. The first factor was beans position of the fruit (B0= peduncular, B1= median, B2= apical). The second factor was LOF application (D0= un-treated, D1= 3 ml.l-1, D2= 5 ml.l-1). The variables including radicle length, seedlings height, number of leaves, leaf area, stem diameter, and root fresh weight were then processed using ANOVA and BNT at the rate of 5%. Results: The beans position of the cocoa fruit was an insignificant effect on all parameters of seedlings. LOF application was significant on seedlings height at 4, 6, and 8 weeks after planting (WAP) and also the number of leaves at 8 WAP, but it had an insignificant effect on radicle length, leaf area, stem diameter, and root fresh weight. The interaction of beans position of the fruit and LOF application on the vegetative growth of cocoa seedlings in the early nursery also did insignificant in all parameters of this study.

Abstract

kebutuhan kompos, pupuk kandang serta pestisida bertambah seiiring semakin luasnya area pengembangan pertanian. Harga pupuk kimia yang melambung tinggi saat ini menyengsarakan pihak petani. Banyak petani yang tidak mampu menanggung biaya bahan pupuk ini. Salah satu solusi yang dapat ditawarkan adalah pembuatan pupuk organik, yang bahannya mudah diperoleh, bahkan dibuang oleh orang-orang. Salah satunya adalah urine kelinci, banyaknya perternak kelinci di daerah ini membuat bahan baku urine kelinci mudah didapat. Pelatihan pembuatan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) dilaksanakan di kelurahan tanah seribu kecamatan Binjai dengan mitra Kelompok Tani Serba Jaya. Urine kelinci yang sudah diolah menjadi pupuk alami dan pestisida alami tidak hanya membantu untuk pengembangan tanaman dan membangun kembali kematangan tanah, namun juga untuk mengurangi biaya yang harus dikeluarkan petani untuk menyuburkan tanah.

Abstract

Tomato is one of the essential horticultural commodity vegetables because it has high economic value. The need for this plant continues to increase along with the increase in population, income levels, and heightened public awareness of the importance of nutritional value. Therefore, this research aims to see and map the production of tomato plants in Indonesia by the province in the form of clusters (grouping). The research data used in this paper is data on tomato production in Indonesia by the province in the last five years (2017-2021) obtained from the District/City Agriculture Service of each province and the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency. The algorithm proposed in this study is K-Means Clustering with the help of RapidMiner. The results of the proposed paper are grouping and mapping of tomato production in Indonesia, which is divided into 5 (five) zones, including the Black Zone (areas with very high tomato production), which consists of 1 province, Green Zone (areas with high production of tomatoes). Which consists of 2 provinces, the Blue Zone (areas with moderate production), which consists of 4 provinces. The Light Blue Zone (areas with low production), which consists of 8 provinces, and the Orange Zone (areas with moderately low production), which consists of 18 provinces.

Abstract

Tomato is one of the favorite fruits consumed by the Indonesian people either consumed directly, as a salad or juiced and an additional ingredient in cooking ingredients. One type of tomato that is often consumed by the public is cherry tomatoes. Cherry tomatoes ( Solanum Lycopersicum var.. Cerasiforme) For this reason it is very important in improving production and high quality. This study used Organic ZPT and Different Seedling Ages. The design used by the Randomized Group Design (RAK) consisted of Seed Age Factors U1(15 days), U2(20 days) and U3 (25 days) and Dose Factors ZPTZ0 (without ZPT), Z1 (ZPT 50%), Z2 (ZPT 75%) and U3 (100%). The results of the Seed Age Research had a very noticeable effect on the Number of Branches at the age of 40 HST. Meanwhile, the results of ZPT have a very noticeable effect on Plant Height of 20 HST and Number of Branches of 40 HST. Meanwhile, the results of ZPT have a very noticeable effect on Plant Height of 20 HST and Number of Branches of 40 HST. And the interaction of the two had a noticeable effect on the number of branches ,the weight of the best crop fruit obtained at the U2Z1 treatment (20 days + 50% ZPT) which was 167.53 g.

Abstract

The growth and production of kailan is carried out through the use of palm oil waste as a planting medium, the types of waste used are Empty Bunches of Palm Oil (EFB), Dried Decanter Solid (DDS) and Fiber. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of three types of palm oil waste on the growth and production of kailan, the treatment of differences in harvest age aimed to see the right harvest on kailan plants and then see the interaction of the two treatments in the kailan production phase.This research was conducted in Tunggurono Binjai Timur District, North Sumatra from October 2021 to January 2022. Randomized Group Design (RAK) Factorial with palm waste treatment and harvest age, First factor palm waste M0 = (Top soil), M1 (Top soil + EFB), M2 (Top soil + DDS) and M3 (Top soil + Fiber). The second factor of harvest life is P1 (30 HST), P2 (35 HST) and P3 (40 HST). fresh weight per plant (g), fresh weight per plot (g), root volume (cm3) and dry weight per plant (g). In the Study Randomized Design Group (RAK) Factorial showed that the treatment of palm waste and harvest age had a significant effect on fresh weight per plant, fresh weight per plot, root volume and dry weight per plant. And the interaction of the two had a marked effect on the dry weight per plant, the dry weight per plant was best obtained at the treatment (M2P1) 3.03 g.

Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to determine the effect of different planting media and phosphoric fertilizer application on the growth of oil palm seedlings (Elais guineensis, Jacg) in early nurseries. The short-term goal of this research is to know that phosphate fertilizer can affect the growth of oil palm seedlings. Materials and Methods: This research was carried out in Prestasi District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra from January to April 2022. The method used in this study was a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). It consists of two factors, namely: The first factor which consists of two treatments namely, M1: Top Soil, and Manure (1: 1), M2: Top Soil, and Sand (1: 1). The Second Factor consists of 3 factors namely, F = 0 CONTROL (without treatment), F1 = 3 grams/liter of water, F2 = 5 grams/liter of water. Variables observed were Plant Height, Stem Diameter, Number of Leaves, Leaf Area. Results The treatment of phosphate fertilizer application had no significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, and leaf area. The interaction of growing media and application of phosphate fertilizer had no significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, and leaf area. In general, the M1F1 interaction treatment (Top Soil: Manure and 3 grams of Phosphate) produced the highest values ​​for plant height, number of leaves, and leaf area.

Abstract

Pupuk organik cair mengandung unsur hara baik makro maupun mikro yang dibutuhkan tanaman untuk proses pertumbuhan. Tanaman pisang merupakan tanaman budidaya yang banyak dimanfaatkan untuk peluang usaha tersendiri bagi masyarakat, sehingga mengakibatkan banyak limbah kulit pisang yang dihasilkan. Banyaknya limbah kulit pisang ini dapat menjadi salah satu solusi yang dapat dimanfaatkan masyarakat untuk pembuatan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC). Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi mengenai manfaat limbah kulit pisang sebagai pupuk organik cair kepada masyarakat (kelompok tani). Pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik cair dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Tanah Seribu Kecamatan Binjai Selatan Kota Binjai dengan mitra Kelompok Tani Serba Guna. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini terdiri dari metode ceramah dan demonstrasi. Limbah kulit pisang yang sudah diolah menjadi pupuk organik cair bermanfaat bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman, memperbaiki sifat fisik tanah serta menambah unsur hara bagi tanaman budidaya. Abstract

Pendahuluan: Dewasa ini permintaan hasil pertanian berupa sayuran mengalami peningkatan khususnya tanaman sawi (Brassica juncea) yang memiliki pangsa pasar yang luas. Akan tetapi hasil produksi yang tidak maksimal membuat tanaman tersebut hanya tersebar di pasar lokal. Metode hidroponik merupakan alternatif yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman tersebut sehingga dapat memenuhi permintaan konsumen. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Faktorial. Variabel perlakuan terdiri dari Faktor Umur Bibit B1 (7 hr), B2 (14 hr), B3 (21 hr) dan Faktor Tingkat nutrisi, yaitu 1000 ppm (A1), 1500 ppm (A2) dan 2000 ppm (A3). Jenis tanaman yang digunakan sawi caisim (Brassica juncea L.). Parameter yang diamati meliputi pengamatan pertumbuhan tanaman meliputi lebar daun, panjang daun serta pengamatan produksi dilakukan setelah panen dengan menimbang berat basah keseluruhan tanaman. Metode analisis data yag digunakan yaitu Deskriptik kuantitatif. Hasil Penelitian: Hasil analisa statistik menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang nyata untuk lebar daun, panjang daun dan berat basah tanaman sawi. umur bibit dan tingkat nutrisi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi sawi caisim (brassica juncea l.) terbaik pada sistem hidroponik pada lebar daun dan panjang daun pada perlakuan dengan umur bibit B2 (14 hari) dan tingkat nutrisi A1 (1000 ppm) sedangkan berat basah hasil produksi tanaman sawi caisim terbaik pada umur bibit B3(21 hari) dan tingkat nutrisi A2 (1500 ppm). Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of giving oil palm Tankos (empty fruit bunches) and mycorrhiza to the planting medium on the growth and production of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L,). The research was conducted in Medan Sunggal District, Medan City and was carried out from March 2022 to May 2022. The research method used was Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 2 treatment factors. The first factor was Tankos T0 (Control), T1 (100 gr/polybag), T2 (200 gr/polybag), T3 (300 gr/polybag). The second factor was Mycorrhiza M0 (Control), M1 (5 gr/polybag), M2 (10 gr/polybag). The results showed that the application of Tankos and Mycorrhizae showed a very significant effect on the parameters of Plant Height, Number of Leaves, Leaf Area, Dry Weight and Wet Weight of Lettuce Plants. The treatment Tankos T3 (dose =300 g/polybag) and Mycorrhiza M2 (dose =10 g/polybag) showed the highest results in all parameters. The interaction of the two treatments showed no significant effect, but it can be seen that the T3M2 treatment combination (tankos dose = 300 gr/polybag and mycorrhiza dose = 10 gr/polybag) was the best treatment in this study. It is suspected that the tankos is able to provide nutrients for the lettuce plants, while mycorrhiza helps the roots absorb the available nutrients for the lettuce plants.

Abstract

Introduction: Tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum) are vegetable in vitamins A, B, C. In the cultivation of tomato plants, it is necessary to maximize the growth and production of tomato plants, the application of NPK which can add nutrients to plants. Then, cocoa husk compost which provides nutrients, improves soil structure. Methods: This research was carried out in November 2022 - February 2023 at Jln. Yos Sudarso Dusun III Kec. Binjai, Kab. Langkat. North Sumatra. The study used a 2-factor factorial randomized block design (RAKF), the first factor was NPK 16-16-16, N0 (10 g/plant), N1 (20 g/plant), N2 (20 g/plant), N3 (30 g/plant). the second factor was the modification of the planting medium for cocoa shell compost, M0 (Top soil), M1 (Top soil + Cocoa Hull Compost 1:½), M2 (Top soil + Cocoa Hull Compost 1:1), M3 (Top soil + Cocoa Hull Compost 1:1½). Parameters observed were plant height, soil water content, fruit weight planted, and total harvest weight. Results: The results showed that the npk 16-16-16 treatment had a significant effect on plant height growth, fruit planting weight, total harvest weight, the best treatment was N3. modification of the planting medium of cocoa shell compost had a significant effect on fruit weight per plant, soil water content, total harvest weight, the best treatment was M3. The interaction of NPK 16-16-16 and modification of the planting medium of cocoa shell compost had no significant effect on all parameters, the best treatment was N2M1. Keywords: Tomato, NPK, Cocoa Husk Compost.
