Abstract

The Ngebel area in Ponorogo Regency, East Java, is one of the hidden tourist destinations that has yet to be fully exposed but is becoming a favorite tourist destination in Indonesia. The natural beauty of Lake Ngebel, in the form of a natural lake, is an attraction in itself that can be explored and developed as a natural tourist area in Indonesia. Apart from the natural lake, which holds potential, the Ngebel area is also known for its potential as a robusta coffee center, famously known as Wilis coffee. This initiative aims to provide mentoring and technology application to the youth in Ngebel village and its surrounding areas to become a driving force for the emergence of young entrepreneurs in building businesses based on local commodities, especially Wilis coffee products, thus making it a flagship product and supporting the development of Lake Ngebel tourism. The community service activities consist of entrepreneurial training, the application of appropriate technology such as coffee roasting machine production, and mentoring millennial café entrepreneurs in the Lake Ngebel area as a tourist destination. The results of these activities show that the application of appropriate technology in roasting coffee with various flavors increases the entrepreneurial spirit of the youth in the Lake Ngebel area and can be utilized to better market Wilis coffee products, thereby supporting tourism activities in the Lake Ngebel area.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat merupakan kegiatan yang bertujuan memberikan kontribusi positif dan solusi terhadap berbagai masalah yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya berfokus pada pemecahan masalah, tetapi juga bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Dalam usulan proposal kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, target utama adalah para guru di SD Negeri 1 Mulyoagung. Pemilihan guru sebagai mitra sasaran didasarkan pada peran strategis mereka dalam membentuk karakter wirausahawan dan kemandirian di lingkungan sekolah tersebut. Guru dipandang sebagai agen perubahan yang mampu menginspirasi dan membimbing siswa dalam mengembangkan jiwa kewirausahaan dan kemandirian, yang pada akhirnya akan berdampak positif pada perkembangan dan kemajuan sekolah serta masyarakat sekitar. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga dirancang untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada para guru dalam aspek-aspek kewirausahaan, seperti manajemen bisnis, inovasi, dan pemasaran. Dengan demikian, para guru dapat menularkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tersebut kepada siswa. Melalui pendekatan ini, diharapkan terjadi transfer pengetahuan yang efektif dan berkesinambungan, sehingga siswa tidak hanya memiliki keterampilan akademik tetapi juga keterampilan praktis yang berguna dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dampak positif dari kegiatan ini diharapkan akan dirasakan oleh seluruh komunitas sekolah dan masyarakat sekitar, meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan keberlanjutan perkembangan sosial-ekonomi, serta menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pertumbuhan dan pengembangan wirausahawan muda

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of the Investment Opportunity Set (IOS) and capital structure on the performance of manufacturing firms in Indonesia. It explores how these two factors influence the enhancement of firm performance. A quantitative method was applied, utilizing secondary data sourced from the financial reports of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2023 period, selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The findings reveal that both IOS and capital structure significantly affect firm performance. The study enriches the discourse on agency and signaling theories while offering managerial insights for optimizing capital structure and formulating strategic investment decisions to improve business competitiveness and operational efficiency. Additionally, it emphasizes the necessity of aligning financial policies with potential growth to foster sustainable value for stakeholders. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of aligning financial strategies with growth opportunities to ensure long-term value creation for stakeholders.

Abstract

This community service activity is carried out to improve the quality of life for the people of Ngebel Village, Ponorogo Regency, by applying appropriate technology in coffee production. Ngebel Village is known as a producer of Wilis coffee, which has great potential but still faces issues in post-harvest processing that are not yet efficient. This activity aims to improve the productivity and quality of Wilis coffee by implementing modern coffee hulling and grinding machines. The methods used in this activity include a functional approach and mentoring, with the application of appropriate technology in the form of coffee hulling and grinding machines specifically designed to enhance production efficiency. Training is conducted to ensure that the BUMDesa managers can operate and maintain the machines properly. After implementing these machines, there is expected to be a significant increase in the efficiency of coffee processing, a reduction in production costs, and an improvement in the quality of Wilis coffee. The community will also acquire new skills in operating post-harvest coffee technology. Additionally, this activity helps improve the competitiveness of Wilis' coffee products in the market. By applying appropriate technology in coffee production at BUMDesa Barokah in Ngebel Village, the main goal of sustainable activity will be achieved: improving the quality and efficiency of coffee production, which contributes to the economic well-being of the local community.

Abstract

Human capital theory argues that if someone is given education, in the future their work productivity will develop, because someone has the knowledge and skills to carry out their work better. The nation's literacy rate has increased. Based on 2016 BPPS data, the imbalance between job opportunities and the workforce in Indonesia means that intellectual unemployment is increasing. A shift in the education system is needed, namely not producing graduates who are solely looking for job opportunities, but rather graduates who are oriented towards job creation, namely entrepreneurship and campaigning for the promotion of entrepreneurship in the PT world. Based on this, this research is very important to carry out because it will help reduce the number of educated unemployed, especially in the UB Vocational Faculty. Graduates do not only choose to become civil servants and formal jobs, but can become entrepreneurs to build the nation and state. Therefore, the researchers took the title "Development of an Entrepreneurship Spirit Training Model for Undergraduate Students: Solutions for Planning Future Careers". The objectives of this research are: 1) Identifying the needs for training in the entrepreneurial spirit of UB Vocational Faculty students. 2) Create a training model for the entrepreneurial spirit of UB Vocational Faculty students. And 3) Create a Spirit of Entrepreneurship training package for UB Vocational Faculty students. This research, both the first and second year, used the Borg & Gall model development research approach (1983:775). Research in Year I, step 1 The research team conducted a preliminary study to photograph the student training model which was continued in Year II, namely creating an entrepreneurship training package. The research team developed 2 versions of the training model in consultation with experts, then the product was revised. Small-scale and large-scale trials were carried out by the Research Team, so that in the end a final entrepreneurial spirit training model was obtained. This product is used as the basis for creating an entrepreneurial spirit training package. This entrepreneurship training model can be used after the entrepreneurial spirit training package (theme, objectives, modules/materials, schedule, place, presenters, participants, rules, etc.) has been created as a complement to organizing student entrepreneurial spirit training.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of corporate governance, intellectual capital and financial policy on firm performance conducted on 14 pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange. The data obtained was processed using warp pls software 7.0. The results of the study indicate that corporate governance has no significant positive effect on financial policy and firm performance. Meanwhile, intellectual capital has a negative and significant effect on financial policy and a significant positive effect on firm performance. Next, financial policy has a significant positive effect on firm performance.

Abstract

Competition in the industrial era 4.0 or today's distracting era is a necessity, especially in the business world. Thus, companies must prepare qualified and responsive human resources to change because they are needed in maintaining the existence and productivity of the company is facing the dynamics of business competition. Namely human resources who have conceptual skills, humans’ skills, technical skills, and technological literacy. Many factors can support the development of organizations and human resources, for example, a strong organizational culture and learning organizations. The implementation of learning organization in a company aims to develop the quality of human resource development and the quality of organizational performance because it can accelerate the organizational learning process and increase its ability to adapt to change and anticipate changes in the dynamics of the business environment in the future. Knowledge-based HR development requires a learning process based on self-learning and organizational learning. The competitive advantage obtained by developing human resources owned and carried out by the company can be used as a source of strength in facing competition and the dynamics of the business environment in the industrial era 4.0 which is complex and not easily imitated by competitors.

Abstract

An organisation is required to apply Job Satisfaction to maintain productivity in improved operations. The purpose of this study is to learn how Organizational Commitment mediates the effect of Job Satisfaction on Turnover Intentions, and then to find out whether Job Satisfaction influences Turnover  Intention and Organizational Commitment influences Turnover  Intention. This type of research is quantitative, with a population of all employees of PT. Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur, Malang City branch, using a stratified random sampling method with a sample of 113 respondents. Data analysis using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results of the study showed that Job satisfaction has a significant effect on Organizational Commitment. Job satisfaction has a significant effect on Turnover IntentiOrganisationalonal commitment has a significant effect on Turnover Intention. Organisational commitment partially demonstrates a significant influence in mediating job satisfaction on the Turnover Intention of employees of PT. Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur, Malang Branch.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of digital literacy and digital innovation on the performance of State Universities with Legal Entities (PTNBH) in Malang City. This research is explanatory with a quantitative approach, using the survey method. The research population includes State Universities with Legal Entities (PTNBH) in Malang City, including Universitas Brawijaya and Universitas Negeri Malang. This population includes education staff and lecturers totaling 6231 respondents. Using the Finite Population Correction Factor (FPC) formula at a 5% significance level, 100 respondents were sampled. Data collection was done through questionnaires, and data analysis using path analysis with the smartpls application. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of digital literacy, digital innovation, and the performance of State Universities with Legal Entities (PTNBH) in Malang City has been going well. In particular, digital literacy does not have a significant influence on the performance of State Universities with Legal Entities (PTNBH), while digital innovation has a significant influence on the performance of State Universities with Legal Entities (PTNBH). In addition, digital innovation acts as a mediator between digital literacy and the performance of State Universities with Legal Entities (PTNBH) in Malang City.

Abstract

Komunitas petani pedesaan di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan berkelanjutan dalam pengelolaan limbah pertanian dan penyediaan pakan ternak, yang seringkali menyebabkan degradasi lingkungan dan kerentanan ekonomi. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan kelompok tani dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi pencacahan limbah multifungsi dengan pelatihan kewirausahaan dan pemasaran digital. Metodologi partisipatif berbasis masyarakat diterapkan melalui lima tahap: sosialisasi program, pelatihan, implementasi teknologi, pendampingan, dan perencanaan keberlanjutan. Mesin pencacah mencapai kapasitas pemrosesan 80–100 kg per jam, sementara fermentasi memperpanjang umur simpan pakan hingga tiga minggu dan meningkatkan daya cerna, mengurangi biaya pakan, dan meningkatkan kesehatan ternak. Pelatihan manajerial meningkatkan literasi keuangan, memungkinkan petani untuk menerapkan pembukuan, perhitungan biaya, dan perangkat perencanaan strategis seperti Kanvas Model Bisnis. Intervensi pemasaran memperkenalkan branding, kemasan, dan promosi digital, yang memperluas saluran distribusi dan meningkatkan penjualan produk. Pendampingan memperkuat kapasitas kewirausahaan, memperkuat jaringan sosial, dan mendorong adopsi inovasi. Luaran pendukung meliputi perlindungan hak kekayaan intelektual untuk inovasi berbasis mesin pencacah, penyusunan publikasi akademis, dan diseminasi audiovisual untuk dampak yang lebih luas. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa intervensi teknologi, manajerial, dan pemasaran yang terintegrasi mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan sumber daya, memperkuat ekonomi lokal, dan meningkatkan ketahanan pedesaan. Studi ini berkontribusi pada literatur tentang valorisasi limbah pertanian dan pemberdayaan pedesaan dengan menyajikan model multidisiplin yang dapat direplikasi dan selaras dengan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan. Studi mendatang sebaiknya mengkaji aplikasi yang dapat diskalakan di berbagai konteks dan menyelidiki teknologi bioproses canggih untuk meningkatkan keberlanjutan.
