Abstract

Penelitian pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair (POC) dan biochar terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui interaksi pemberian POC dan biochar terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan perlakuan pemberian biochar yang terdiri 2 taraf yaitu 0 t ha-1 dan 5 t ha-1 dan pemberian POC US dengan taraf 0 ml L-1, 25 ml L-1, 50 ml L-1, 75 ml L-1 dan 100 ml L-1 setiap satuan percobaan dengan 3 ulangan. Data pengamatan dianalisis secara statistik dengan uji F, Jika F hitung lebih besar dari F table dilanjutkan dengan Duncan`s Multiple Range Test pada taraf nyata 5%. Berdasarkan hasil percobaan dapat disimpulkan bahwa interaksi Biochar dan POS US berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua parameter pengamatan, secara tunggal 75 ml L-1 POC US terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman bawang merah dan dosis 5 ton ha-1 biochar memberikan hasil terbaik dengan bobot kering umbi 47,40 g/rumpun.

Abstract

Penelitian respon pertumbuhan cabai merah (Capsicum annum L.) pada pupuk hayati dan NPK majemuk telah dilaksanakan bulan November 2019-Februari 2020 di lahan Kelurahan Ampang, Kecamatan Kuranji kota Padang yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi pemberian pupuk hayati dan NPK majemuk terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai merah. Percobaan ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan dua faktor yaitu faktor pertama jenis pupuk hayati Trichoderma (B) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu : 0, 5, 10 ton/ha. Faktor kedua yaitu dosis pupuk NPK Majemuk yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu: 0, 25, 50 %,75%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan pemberian pupuk hayati secara tunggal mampu meningkatkan bobot buah per tanaman, bobot buah per plot dan bobot buah per hektar serta mempercepat umur panen pertama tanaman cabai merah. Pemberian NPK Majemuk secara tunggal mampu meningkatkan, bobot buah per tanaman, bobot buah per plot dan bobot buah per hektar tanaman cabai merah. Interaksi pemberian pupuk hayati dengan NPK Majemuk dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan jumlah cabang primer tanaman cabai merah.

Abstract

Penelitian pengaruh rizobakteri dan jenis pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah bertujuan untuk mendapatkan interaksi rizobakteri dan jenis pupuk NPK terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Percobaan lapangan dilakukan dilahan bekas bawang merah dengan jenis tanah Ultisol pH 5,5, kandungan Nitrogen 2,45%, Phospor 0,17% dan Kalium 0,34% dengan ketiggian 1450 m dpl. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan dua faktor, faktor pertama jenis rizobakteri: Pseudomonas sp, Bacillus sp, dan tanpa rizobakteri faktor kedua adalah jenis pupuk NPK yaitu NPK mutiara, NPK Grower dan NPK Booster. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun per rumpun, jumlah umbi per rumpun, bobot umbi basah dan umbi kering per rumpun, berat umbi basah dan umbi kering per plot, produksi umbi kering per hektar, persentase penyakit HBD (hawar daun bakteri). Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa interaksi rizobakteri dan jenis pupuk NPK nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat umbi basah dan umbi kering per rumpun, jenis rizobakteri Bacillus sp berpengaruh meningkatkan jumlah daun per rumpun, jumlah umbi, dan meningkatkan bobot umbi basah dan umbi kering tanaman bawang merah.

Abstract

Masyarakat yang berada di kampung Bendang, Nagari Sungai Sarik belum memanfaatkan secara optimal limbah hasil pertanian dan tanaman semak yang tumbuh di lahan untuk meningkatkan produk usaha tani dan ekonomi masyarakat. Tujuan kegiatan adalah diseminasi berbagai teknik dan manfaat dari limbah pertanian untuk dijadikan bahan pupuk dan produk rumah tangga lainnya yang bermanfaat lainnya sehingga dapat meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat. Kegiatan Pengabdian telah dilaksanakan di Kampung Bendang, Nagari Sungai Sarik, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman selama Bulan Maret 2022. Pada kegiatan pengabdian  terbagi menjadi pelatihan, praktek langsung, dan pendampingan. Dari hasil kegiatan disimpulkan bahwa pengolahan limbah pertanian dan tanaman semak yang ada di kampung Bendang, Nagari Sungai Sarik, Padang Pariaman dapat meningkatkan usaha tani dan ekonomi masyarakat.  Dari beberapa produk yang dihasilkan jika serius dilakukan, maka pendapatan masyarakat dapat mencapai Rp. 10.140.000 per bulan, dengan memproduksi kompos, pupuk organik cair, cairan eco-enzim (EE) dan sabun dari Eco-enzim.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh umur dan tinggi pemotongan  pada fase vegetatif terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L.) dan analisis usahatani. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 4 bulan pada tahun 2019 di Kampung Jua, Kelurahan Kampung Jua Nan XX, Kecamatan Lubuk Begalung, Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan jarak tanam 25 cm x 25 cm pada luas petak 2 x 2 m, dengan 7 perlakuan yang terdiri dari;  tidak dipotong , dipotong  saat umur 35 hst dan tinggi potong  mulai 5 cm, 10 cm, dan 15 cm. Potong  saat umur 45 hst  mulai dari  tinggi potong  5 cm, 10 cm, dan 15 cm dengan 3 ulangan sehingga terdapat 21 plot percobaan. Data diambil secara acak lengkap apabila berpengaruh nyata maka akan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT pada taraf nyata 5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan terbaik adalah pemotongan  tanaman padi IR42, yang dilakukan saat 45 hst setinggi 5 cm di atas permukaan tanah mampu menghasilkan 23 t ha-1 HPT dan 5,73 t ha-1 GKG, dengan penghasilan bersih sebesar 46,45 juta rupiah untuk 1 kali panen atau 11,6 juta rupiah per bulan.

Abstract

Indonesia has a wide area of acid-dry land with potential food crops, especially soybeans. The study was conducted to determine the effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) as seed coat of soybean on ultisol, applied with various doses of lime. The study was conducted in Ultisols in Kuranji Village, Kuranji District, Padang City, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The experiment was arranged in a split-plot design. The main plot was the dose of CaCO3 lime with two levels, namely 0 (without lime) and lime equivalent to 2 x Al-dd. Subplots were the application of seed coat in five ratios of AMF inoculant: former soybean planting soil, consisting of 0:4, 1:4, 2:4, 3:4, and 4:4. Each treatment was replicated three times. Data were analyzed for variance and the least significant difference (LSD) test with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that applying lime could increase P uptake in soybean plants by 25.58%. The highest soybean yield was 2.046 tons ha-1, yielded from seed coat treatment with a ratio of 2:4 without lime and the lime treatment equivalent to 2xAl-dd without seed coat.

Abstract

The objective of the experiment was to determine the response of sweet corn varieties to Thitonia compost in ultisol rice fields. The experiment was conducted in Kalumbuk Village, Kuranji District, Padang City from September – November 2021. The experiment was carried out using a completely randomized factorial design with the first factor being sweet corn varieties namely Bonanza, Asia 86, and Paragon, while the second factor was the dosage of Thitonia compost consisting of 4 levels namely 0 , 4, 8, and 12 tonnes ha-1. The combination of the two factors is repeated 3 times. Based on the experimental results, it was concluded that the response of the sweet corn varieties Bonanza, Asia 86 and Paragon showed a variety of growth, showed a variety of yield components and a variety of production in ultisols. Sequentially the highest production was obtained by the Asian variety 86 namely 18.00 t ha-1, followed by the Bonanza variety, namely 17.43 t ha-1 and Paragon variety, namely 16.44 t ha-1 with dosage Thitonia compost namely 8 t ha-1.

Abstract

Fertilization is important for plants. Appropriate and efficient fertilizer application will result in optimal plant growth and production. Farmers need to know and understand the artificial fertilizers that are sold at fertilizer kiosks, by reading the fertilizer brand including the ingredients and the many ingredients. The aim was to introduce the community, especially the Mekar Abadi and Mekar Jaya farmer groups, in Jorong Muara Tapus, Kenagarian Sungai Aur, to understanding the importance of understanding literacy in fertilizer packaging and soil conservation so that they can use artificial fertilizers effectively and efficiently. Service activities for the Mekar Abadi and Mekar Jaya Farmer Groups have been carried out in June 2022, the activities include; providing information to the Department of Agriculture, Food Security, and Livestock; Sungai Aur District; Wali Nagari Sungai Aur, Wali Jorong Muara Tapus and PPL in Sungai Aur will carry out outreach activities. Next, formulate a model of service activities that will be carried out by the Team together with the community of farmer groups in the Aur river. Counseling was carried out at night, remembering that more audiences are present and everyone can take the time to participate in these activities. The activity technique before the lecture was to distribute questionnaires to determine the understanding of farmers' literacy on the fertilizer brand on the fertilizer packaging, next was a lecture and question and answer discussion about the audience's understanding of the material given. In general, farmers in Jorong Muara Tapus Kenagarian Sungai Aur, Sungai Aur District, are not only maize farmers but also most oil palm farmers. The ability of farmers to distinguish between genuine and fake fertilizers, as well as to distinguish between fertilizers containing macro and micronutrients is still very low. Farmers still do not understand efforts to preserve soil fertility through soil conservation measures. Conservation techniques are also important to maintain soil fertility so that fertilization is more effective and efficient.

Abstract

Fertilizer is vital for farmers to cultivate plants. The problem with fertilizer is that high prices make farmers' purchasing power low, therefore agricultural results do not meet expectations. Procuring organic fertilizer is easier and cheaper, because organic materials are not only cheap but also abundant in Indonesia. The aim of the activity to provide education and training to students in producing POC Crocober Plus and its application in onion plants. Increasing the ability of MBKM students to be able to develop an entrepreneurial spirit. Socialization and direction of activities starting from preparation until the end of the activity. Practice making POC Crocober Plus fertilizer. Application of POC Crocober Plus in the field for onion plants. The results of the activities carried out were the implementation of internship activities in the MBKM program totaling 3 credits which were carried out in the Agricultural Faculty workshop room and in the field in Alahan Panjang, Solok Regency, specifically for horticultural crops. In this activity students are trained to produce commercial POC and its application to onion plants. The importance of socializing the production of POC Crocober Plus is to increase student competency in producing fertilizer in an effort to replace some of the need for artificial fertilizer. Intern students need to know the correct techniques for making POC to produce premium quality.
