Abstract

Sembalun Bumbung Village, East Lombok, faces the problem of river pollution due to the disposal of livestock manure and garbage, which on the other hand has great potential to be processed into biogas as an economical, environmentally friendly, and sustainable alternative energy. This program aims to design and implement a biogas system at Rumah Qur'an At-Tazkiyyah Sembalun, a boarding school that is also a center for community empowerment, to meet energy needs while reducing environmental pollution. The methods used include training and assistance to students and the community about biogas processing, starting from organic waste fermentation, the use of fermented gas for cooking and electricity, to the use of residual waste as organic fertilizer, as well as education on livestock care and waste management to support the sustainability of the program. Expected outputs include the production of renewable energy in the form of biogas for cooking and electricity, reduction of waste that pollutes the environment, increasing public awareness about waste management, and creating a cleaner and healthier environment. Abstract

Desa Sandik, Kecamatan Batulayar, Lombok Barat, memiliki risiko kebakaran yang tinggi, terutama selama musim kemarau. Namun, kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pencegahan dan penanggulangan kebakaran, termasuk penggunaan Alat Pemadam Api Ringan (APAR), masih sangat terbatas. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, dilakukan program penguatan kapasitas melalui pelatihan dan simulasi penggunaan APAR. Pelatihan ini melibatkan berbagai elemen masyarakat dan memberikan pengetahuan serta keterampilan praktis tentang cara penanggulangan kebakaran yang efektif. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta terkait penggunaan APAR serta kesadaran akan pentingnya kesiapsiagaan kebakaran. Meskipun demikian, tantangan berupa kurangnya motivasi masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi dan keterbatasan jumlah APAR di desa ini masih perlu diatasi. Program ini telah berhasil meningkatkan kesiapan masyarakat Desa Sandik dalam menghadapi potensi kebakaran dan dapat dijadikan model untuk diterapkan di wilayah lain yang memiliki risiko serupa.

Abstract

Desa Kerumut Kecamatan Pringgabaya Kabupaten Lombok Timur merupakan salah satu daerah yang memiliki perkebunan kelapa yang sangat luas. Kelapa yang melimpah belum bisa dikembangkan dan dimanfaatkan menjadi produk yang inovatif . Hal ini melatar belakangi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). Sasaran utama yaitu masyarakat Desa Kerumut terkhususnya petani dalam memanfaat kelapa sebagai umkm untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan yaitu sosialisasi berupa penyampaian materi dan pelatihan pembuatan VCO. Hasil dari sosialisasi dan pelatihan ini yaitu pemahaman masyarakat dalam membuat dan mengembangkan kelapa menjadi produk yang inovatif salah satunya produk VCO.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna pada website Jurusan Teknik Elektro Universitas Mataram menggunakan pendekatan User Centered Design (UCD). Hasil evaluasi awal menggunakan System Usability Scale (SUS) menunjukkan skor rata-rata 56,8 yang dikategorikan marginal. Setelah proses redesign antarmuka, skor meningkat menjadi 85,8. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan UCD efektif dalam memperbaiki navigasi, tampilan visual dan kemudahan akses informasi pada website akademik.

Abstract

This study aims to identify earthquake clustering patterns in the Northern Lombok–Flores Back-Arc Zone using the Agglomerative Clustering method. Seismic data were obtained from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) covering the period 1970–2021, using latitude, longitude, depth, and magnitude as clustering variables. A sliding window approach was applied to capture the temporal evolution of seismic activity. The results indicate the formation of three stable clusters that consistently represent different earthquake depth levels across all analyzed time windows. Although fluctuations in the occurrence of large-magnitude earthquakes were observed in several windows, these variations did not significantly affect the clustering structure. This study demonstrates that the combination of Agglomerative Clustering and a sliding window approach is effective for identifying depth-based earthquake clustering patterns and describing their temporal dynamics

Abstract

Student attendance is essential in academic activities, yet conventional methods are prone to fraud, errors, and inefficiency. This study develops an Android-based attendance system integrating face recognition using FaceNet and GPS-based location validation within a client–server architecture. The system performs facial embedding extraction and identity verification using Cosine Similarity with a threshold of 0.7, while geofencing ensures valid attendance locations. Testing on 20 students shows an accuracy of 87.14%, precision of 100%, recall of 83%, and an F-score of 90.71%. GPS validation achieves 100% accuracy within a 10-meter radius. Robustness testing demonstrates stable performance under normal conditions and facial expression variations, with decreased performance under occlusions, extreme lighting, and motion. The system achieves an average processing time of 38.12 ms, indicating fast and responsive performance. These results show that the proposed system improves the accuracy, security, efficiency, and robustness of student attendance management.

Abstract

Fishermen, as a part of the human resources that require energy in carrying out their activities, need to prepare themselves with knowledge about the use of renewable energy for future needs. The 'Obor Kehidupan' Fishermen's Group in Cemare Hamlet does not yet have knowledge about renewable energy due to their lack of educational background. This activity has a purpose about renewable energy socialisation so that the fishermen's group member able to understand the various types of renewable energy and the potential of renewable energy in their area. Based on interviews before the socialisation, it was found that the knowledge of renewable energy among the fishermen's group members was still lacking. After the socialisation was conducted, the results were obtained that 73.91% of participants answered questions about renewable energy with a score of sufficient to very good, while 26.09% of participants answered the same question with a score of very poor to poor. This indicates that the socialisation that have been carried out have provide an understanding of renewable energy to the majority of the fishermen's group members.
