Abstract

Leadership in the educational environment plays a very important role in creating a conducive learning atmosphere. As with participatory leadership, the role of the school principal is not only as a decision-maker but also as a facilitator who encourages the participation of teachers and students. This approach is expected to promote the involvement of all parties in the decision-making process related to education. Teacher involvement is a key element in creating an effective learning environment. In addition to teachers, student involvement is also very important in making decisions related to school policies. The method used in this article is a literature study, which is a data collection approach by reviewing and understanding theories from various literature sources relevant to the research topic. Data collection is done by searching for and constructing information from various sources, such as books, journals, and previous research. The role of the principal in making and taking decisions, with responsibility for results that align with the issues at hand, and the involvement of teachers in decision-making, has a significant impact on improving teacher quality, such as mastery of subject matter and teaching techniques, as well as from the aspects of morale, work ethics, and motivation in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. Additionally, involving students in decision-making allows them to think critically and analytically. This participatory leadership is very important for the principal in the decision-making process because it involves teachers and students, thereby forming a shared goal that creates a conducive and comfortable learning environment.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated education digitalization in Indonesia, yet it has also revealed and deepened structural inequalities in educational access. This study examines the digital divide in Indonesian education through a structural sociology lens, specifically applying Bourdieu's theory of capital and field alongside Giddens's structuration theory. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review and secondary data analysis method, this research synthesizes national survey data from BPS, UNICEF, and Kemendikbudristek covering the period 2020–2023. Findings demonstrate that access to digital technology in education remains strongly stratified by socioeconomic status, geographic location, and social class. Upper-class urban students enjoy internet access rates of 92.4%, while rural lower-class students reach only 18.6%. The structural barriers extend beyond infrastructure to encompass digital literacy, parental educational capital, and institutional capacity. This study argues that post-pandemic education policies must address not only technological infrastructure but also the underlying structural conditions that perpetuate educational inequality. Policy recommendations emphasize equitable distribution of digital resources, teacher capacity building, and community-based digital literacy programs.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning achievement in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak through the application of the Role Play learning method in class VII of Rumbo Integrated Islamic Junior High School, Enrekang Regency. The research was motivated by the low learning achievement of students as indicated by only 9 out of 31 students (29.03%) who achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of 75, while 22 students (70.97%) had not achieved completion. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with a constructivist approach which was implemented in two cycles. Each cycle includes four stages, namely planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 31 students of class VII of Rumbo Integrated Islamic Junior High School, Enrekang Regency, Academic Year 2025/2026. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, tests, and documentation, while data analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the study showed that the application of the Role Play method was able to improve student activity and learning achievement. In the pre-cycle stage, the average score was 43.74 with a learning completion of 29.03%. After the actions in Cycle I, the average score increased to 75.67 with a learning completion of 70.97%. Furthermore, in Cycle II, the average score increased again to 82.90 with a learning completion of 87.10%, thus exceeding the research success indicator set at 80%. In addition to improving learning achievement, the Role Play method also increases student activity, cooperation, self-confidence, communication skills, and participation during the learning process. Thus, the Role Play learning method has proven effective in improving student learning achievement in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak, class VII of Rumbo Integrated Islamic Middle School, Enrekang Regency.

Abstract

This study examines rubber farmers' business behavior and the implementation of Islamic business ethics in empowering rubber-based businesses in Langkap Village, Babat Supat District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The study employs a qualitative field-research approach. Informants were selected purposively and consisted of five rubber farmers and four middlemen directly involved in rubber economic activities. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, while data validity was examined through source, technique, and time triangulation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman framework through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that rubber farming businesses remain predominantly traditional, relying on inherited experience and focusing on primary production and the immediate fulfillment of household needs. Farmers have made efforts to maintain productivity through fertilization, land maintenance, replanting, and adaptation to weather conditions, yet product processing, market expansion, value-added creation, and farmer-group participation remain limited. From the perspective of Islamic business ethics, farmers generally demonstrate awareness of tawhid, equilibrium or justice, free will, and responsibility. Nevertheless, their implementation remains partial. Cases involving the mixing of rubber with other materials indicate inconsistencies in honesty and product quality, while limited market access, debt relationships, and dependence on middlemen restrict farmers' effective freedom of choice. The study concludes that Islamic business ethics have been normatively internalized but have not yet been fully transformed into sustainable business empowerment. Strengthening farmer institutions, market access, processing capabilities, and Islamic business ethics education is therefore required to increase farmers' economic independence and the value added of rubber products.
