Abstract

Unemployment remains a major economic issue in Indonesia, particularly in Banten Province, which has the highest open unemployment rate. Traditional models struggle to capture the zero inflation characteristics in labor force data, where most individuals are employed. This study applies the Zero-Inflated Ordered Logit (ZIOL) model to better analyze labor force status in Banten by distinguishing between genuinely unemployed individuals and those appearing unemployed due to external factors.Using data from the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) 2023, this study examines the impact of gender, education, residence, job training access, and work experience on employment. The results show that women, individuals with lower education, and those lacking work experience are more likely to be unemployed or underemployed. ZIOL outperforms traditional ordinal logit models in capturing these dynamics. The findings provide insights for policymakers to design more effective employment strategies, particularly in regions facing high unemployment.

Abstract

In the midst of increasingly fierce market competition, Nanda Gift & Souvenir Shop, as a provider of a wide range of gift products for various events, faced the challenge of increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty. The background of this problem arises from the level of customer satisfaction that is not optimal, which then has an impact on the low level of loyalty and the frequency of purchases of regular customers. This study aims to identify the factors that affect customer satisfaction at Nanda Gift & Souvenir Shop and evaluate the effectiveness of using Marketing Mix 7P to strengthen customer loyalty. The analysis was carried out by quantitative method through the distribution of questionnaires with 202 respondents, then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). Based on the results of SEM-PLS analysis, it was found that the factors of product, price, place, promotion, labor, process, and physical evidence have a significant influence on customer satisfaction. The labor factor has the most dominant influence, followed by product, promotion, and physical evidence. Furthermore, the results of the study show that customer satisfaction has a significant and positive influence on customer loyalty. Customers who are satisfied with the products and services they receive tend to have higher levels of loyalty.

Abstract

Regression analysis in which the response variable is categorical can be processed using the probit model. The probit model is based on the normal distribution, in addition to its interpretation based on marginal effect values. A probit model consisting of two response variables is called the bivariate probit model, in which the response variables each consist of two categories. The predictor variables in bivariate probit model can be either categorical and also continuous data. Bivariate probit model both response variables have a relationship. One of the developments of the bivariate probit model is the semiparametric bivariate probit model, where the bivariate probit model in which there is a parametric and a nonparametric model in this case in the form of a continuous covariate smooth function. Semiparametric bivariate probit model have the advantage of being able to address the problem of nonlinearity of undetected continuous predictor variables that can cause modeling inaccuracies that can effect the results of estimation accuracy. Parameter estimation of semiparametric bivariate probit model uses the Penalized Maximum Likelihood Estimation approach, but the equation obtained is not closed form so iteration are needed to solve it. The iteration used is Fisher Scoring. The semiparametric bivariate probit model was applied to data on early breastfeeding initiation and exclusive breastfeeding in East Java Province in 2021 with variables that affect early breastfeeding initiation being birth attendants while those affecting exclusive breastfeeding are maternal age and maternal education level.

Abstract

This study aims to apply a nonparametric regression model using a mixed estimator of Truncated Spline and Kernel to estimate Rice Production in East Java Province. This model combines several predictor variables, namely Harvested Area of Rice Plants, Rice Productivity, Population, and Human Development Index. The selection of the best combination of variables is based on the lowest Generalized Cross-Validation (GCV) value to obtain a stable and accurate model. The results show that the model with a combination of variables Harvested Area of Rice Plants and Rice Productivity set as Truncated Spline components with three knot points, and Population and Human Development Index as Kernel components produces a minimum GCV value of 85,504,949, RMSE of 242,723.6, and R² of 91.24%. This model successfully captures non-linear relationship patterns and provides more stable estimates. The implication of this finding is that the resulting model can be used to design more efficient agricultural policies, by considering the factors that interact dynamically in rice production.

Abstract

PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS) has become one of the port services company has been trusted by various Indonesian and international companies in the management of international and domestic containers as well as various other loading and unloading services. PT TPS in providing international container management services is required to adjust its service level in accordance with international standards. Based on the Key Performance Indicator (KPI), the performance of PT TPS compared to some international ports in terms of Trund-Around Time (TRT), Gross Mover Per Hour (GMPH), and Berth Move Per Hour (BMPH) are still far behind with ports in UAE, Asia Pacific and India. The low performance of PT TPS based on the three indicators shows that the quality of service PT TPS still needs to be repaired. In this research, perception analysis and customer expectation with Service Quality (SERVQUAL) method to measure service quality of PT TPS. The gap between perception and customer expectation from Service Quality (SERVQUAL) is improved by Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. And based on the two analysis, the preparation of strategies that should be applied by PT TPS to improve the quality of service. The results obtained show that all dimensions have satisfaction level “satisfied” which means that customers value the services provided by PT TPS is enough to meet expectations but still not maximal. Furthermore, Cartesius diagram analysis showed that there are 5 indicators that need improvement either immediately. The QFD analysis is performed to determine the recommended improvements on 5 indicators. Indicators that require top priority are indicators related to the competence of officers, especially administrative officers. So the management recommendation is to make Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for each activity in port for administration officer

Abstract

Characteristics of a song are an important aspect that must be kept authentic by a singer. Using the Spotify API feature, we can extract the characteristics or elements of a song sung by a singer.  There are eight (8) elements that we can get from the extraction of a song, namely: Danceability, Energy, Loudness, Speechiness, Acousticness, Liveness, Valence, and Tempo. Based on the extraction results, we can label the music artist using the classification analysis method. In this study, the labels are music artists, namely Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. This study aims to obtain the classification of music artist labels using binary logistic regression methods and discriminant analysis. The response variable used in this study is Artist Music (Y) which is categorized into two categories, namely Ariana Grande (Y=0) and Taylor Swift (Y=1). The data will be divided into training and testing data with the proportion of data 90:10 and 80:20. Based on the results of the analysis, the binary regression model that was built, with the proportion of training testing data that is 90:10 has a classification accuracy for data testing of 90.00%.

Abstract

This article discusses the innovation of statistical modeling in regression analysis with a semiparametric approach applied to health data. Regression analysis is a method in statistics that takes a lot of roles in statistical modeling. Regression analysis is used to model the relationship between the independent variable (x) and the dependent variable (y). There are three approaches to regression analysis, namely parametric, nonparametric, and a combination of the two, namely semiparametric. Semiparametric regression is used when the dependent variable has a known relationship with some of the independent variables and has an unknown pattern of a relationship with some of the other independent variables. The purpose of this study was to model hemoglobin levels in dengue fever patients, with the independent variables used being the number of hematocrits (x1) and the number of leukocytes (x2). The method used is spline truncated semiparametric regression. The truncated spline estimator was chosen for the nonparametric component because it has many advantages in modeling, one of which is being able to model patterns where the form of the relationship is unknown. The parameter estimation used is the maximum estimation. Selection of the optimal knot point using Generalized Cross-Validation (GCV). Based on the results of the analysis, the truncated spline semiparametric regression model was obtained which was applied to the hemoglobin level data in a model with three knots which have a coefficient of determination of 89.074%. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis simultaneously, it can be concluded that simultaneously the independent variable has a significant effect on the dependent variable. In the partial test, it is concluded that the variables x1 and x2 have a significant influence on the dependent variable y .

Abstract

The increasingly intense competition in Indonesia's e-commerce industry is compelling platforms like Tokopedia to shift from price war strategies to enhancing user experience to build long-term loyalty. This study aims to analyze the influence of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) elements on User Satisfaction and User Loyalty on the Tokopedia platform. Specifically, this research also examines the mediating role of User Satisfaction in the relationship between UI/UX and User Loyalty. This research utilizes a quantitative approach with non-probability sampling through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected via an online questionnaire distributed to 150 active Tokopedia users residing in the Jabodetabek area. The data analysis technique used is Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the SmartPLS 4 software. The results indicate that User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) have a positive and significant effect on User Satisfaction. Subsequently, User Satisfaction is also proven to have a positive and significant effect on User Loyalty. However, the key finding of this research is the insignificance of the direct effects of UI and UX on User Loyalty. Further analysis confirms the role of User Satisfaction as a full mediation variable. This indicates that the entire influence of UI and UX on User Loyalty is fully channeled through User Satisfaction. This study concludes that satisfaction is a crucial strategic bridge that must be crossed to convert a good user experience into tangible customer loyalty. The implication for Tokopedia is that investments in UI/UX improvements will not be effective in increasing loyalty if they are not accompanied by strategies that ensure these features genuinely satisfy users first.
