Abstract

Haemodialysis is a treatment effort that aims to support the life of patients with end-stage renal failure which can lead to psychological experiences that can affect the well-being of life such as depression, anxiety, and stress increase the risk of losing the meaning of life. The design in this study was cross-sectional and involved 46 haemodialysis patients and the sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were tested using a non-parametric spearman rank analysis to find the correlation between self-esteem and levels of depression, anxiety, and stress. The results of the analysis show that there was a significant correlation between self-esteem and levels of depression, anxiety, and stress, which were marked with a significance value of 0.001 each. The resulting coefficient values ​​were negative respectively -0.726, -0.016, and -0.674. Based on this value, it can be concluded that if self-esteem is low, the level of depression, anxiety, and stress will increase in haemodialysis patients.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of chemistry teachers to make based on the 2013 curriculum at Landak District Senior High School. The research method used is the descriptive method. The subjects of this study were teachers at SMAN 1 Sengah Temila, SMAN 4 Sengah Temila, and SMAN 1 Menyuke. The data test tool used was to submit the results and interviews. The results of the study indicate that the teacher's ability to make questions based on the 2013 curriculum is in the sufficient category because the teacher has difficulty in making HOTS questions and the differences in the cognitive level of the questions.

Abstract

Pengembangan penelitian ini didasari oleh wawancara guru dan observasi, guru menyatakan peserta didik sulit memahami konfigurasi elektron dan tidak tersedia media yang dapat membantu pemahaman konfigurasi elektron. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan media KIT konfigurasi elektron, mengetahui respon guru dan respon peserta didik terhadap media KIT konfigurasi elektron. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE tahapan yang digunakan sampai tahap development. Subjek penelitian adalah 2 validator instrumen, 3 validator yang berbeda-beda pada tiap aspek media, materi dan bahasa, responden penelitian dari SMAN 1, SMAN 2 dan SMAN 3 Ngabang berjumlah 9 peserta didik kelas X MIPA pada uji coba kelompok kecil, 36 peserta didik kelas X MIPA dan 3 guru kimia pada uji coba lapangan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pedoman wawancara, angket kelayakan dan angket respon. Analisis data menggunakan skala penilaian ( rating scale). Diperoleh rata-rata persentase kelayakan media KIT konfigurasi elektron pada aspek media 99,04 %, aspek materi 98.66%, dan aspek bahasa 87,40%. Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil rata-rata persentase 87,77%. Hasil uji coba lapangan diperoleh rata-rata persentase menurut respon peserta didik sebesar 96,75 % dan respon guru persentase rata-rata 99,48%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media layak untuk digunakan pada tahap implementasi.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the level of feasibility and response of chemistry teachers to students' performance appraisal instruments on practicum electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions that have been developed. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) by the Borg and Gall model. This study’s subject was the instrument of student performance appraisal, which was tested on chemistry teachers in Senior High School, Sambas. The instrument of student performance appraisal on the electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution practicum that has been developed shows that the category is very feasible with a percentage of 87.31% in terms of three aspect of the assessment feasibility content, presentation, and language. The chemistry teacher's response to the student performance appraisal instrument in the initial field test showed an excellent category (80.55%). In the main field test, the category showed excellent (85.83%). The results of this study indicate that the instrument of student performance appraisal in practicum electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions is very feasible and can be used as one of the assessment tools in the chemical practicum of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of psychomotor assessment instruments in chemical separation practicum. This research is research and development. This development uses the ADDIE model which is adapted into 3 stages, namely analysis, design, and development. The subject of this research trial involved 8 chemical separation practicum assistants. The data collection instrument used was a feasibility validation sheet and a practicum assistant response questionnaire. The feasibility of the psychomotor assessment instrument in the chemical separation practicum was validated by 3 experts covering the feasibility of content, presentation, and language. Content feasibility obtained an average of 91.67%, presentation feasibility obtained an average of 94.44%, and language feasibility obtained an average of 83.33% with all aspects showing the criteria "Very Eligible". Then the response results of the chemical separation practicum assistant obtained an average of 80.68% with the "Good" criteria. Psychomotor assessment instruments are very suitable for use in the learning process to support the assessment of the results of chemical separation practicum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kelayakan oleh ahli serta respon guru terhadap lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis literasi sains pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan atau R & D (research and development). Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE yang dibagi menjadi 3 tahap yaitu analisis (analyze), desain (design), dan pengembangan (development). Subjek penelitian ini adalah lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis literasi sains yang melibatkan 5 guru IPA. 2 guru IPA SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Pinoh, 1 guru IPA SMP Negeri 2 Tanah Pinoh, 1 guru IPA MTs Negeri 1 Tanah Pinoh dan 1 guru IPA SMP IT Imam Syafi’i. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui instrumen penilaian, angket validasi dan angket uji respon guru. Penilaian kelayakan LKPD berbasis literasi sains oleh 3 ahli yaitu ahli materi, ahli grafika dan ahli Bahasa. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis literasi sains pada materi pencemaran lingkungan valid dengan rata-rata kevalidan materi diperoleh 95,3%, kevalidan grafika diperoleh 97,6%, kevalidan bahasa diperoleh “97,9%”. Dan berdasarkan hasil respon guru terhadap Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis literasi sains diperoleh 96%. Maka dari itu, Hasil penilaian Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) Berbasis Literasi Sains pada materi pencemaran lingkungan dinyatakan valid serta dapat dipergunakan sebagai bahan ajar untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran IPA khususnya pada materi pencemaran lingkungan

Abstract

Intermolecular forces are one of the topics in basic chemistry. Intermolecular forces consist of abstract concepts that require multiple representations (macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic) to visualize those concepts. Moreover, the multiple representations are needed to help students understand the abstract concepts of intermolecular forces. Multiple representations were presented as pictures, diagrams, and animation in the videos. The aims of this research are to develop a video of intermolecular forces based on multiple representations and to determine the level of validity and student’s responses to the video. This study employs the 4D method formulated by Thiagarajan which consist of 4 stages. However, this study only adopted 3 stages; define (to know the problem), design (manufacture of product to solve the problem), and development (to determine the level of validity and student responses). The instruments used in this study were the validity and the response questionnaires. Data collected were then analyzed using the percentage criteria proposed by Riduwan. The video provides the conceps and real-life example of the London forces and hydrogen bonding. Video validation shows the level of subject matter validity is 95,38%, media validity is 98,89%, and language validity is 91,11%, where all the aspects were very valid criteria. Every aspect is validated by 3 experts. Student responses on a limited scale by 7 students show a percentage of 87,8% and a large scale by 20 students of 88,9% with very good criteria. Based on the result, the video can be used in the study of intermolecular forces

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is any difference in the communication skills of students who use the cooperative model of type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) with students who use the conventional model and how much influence the communication skills of students using cooperative model type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) with students which uses the conventional model. The method used is pre-experimental design with Intact draft-Group Comparison. Samples were students of class XI SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak MIA. The results of the data analysis assessment of communication skills of students in the experimental class and control class using testIndependent Samples T-test, shows the differences in communication skills between classes that use the cooperative model of type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) and class that uses the conventional model. The results were obtained, there is a difference in communication skills of students who use the cooperative model of type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) with students using conventional models. Based on the calculation, the results indicate that the influence of cooperative learning type Two Stay Two Stray against the communication skills of students at 51.6%.

Abstract

The aims of this research to determine the conventional biotechnology products typical by the people of Kalimantan Barat, determine the feasibility and know the response of conventional biotechnology supplement book based on local wisdom by the people of Kalimantan Barat. This research takes the form of research and development (R&D) by adopting the Borg & Gall development model. The results of data processing on conventional biotechnology supplement books based on local wisdom by the people of Kalimantan Barat show that this supplement book that was developed was very feasible to use in learning in terms of the percentage of content, presentation, language and graphics worthiness of 89%; 89.5%; 83.81; and 82.77%. The results of student responses in the initial field trials amounted to 83.27% and in the main field trials amounted to 85.03%. The results of this research can be concluded that the feasibility level of conventional biotechnology supplement book based on the local wisdom by the people of Kalimantan Barat as a supplement of teaching materials is very feasible to use and get a good response from junior high school.

Abstract

This research aim to describe the differences in science process skill of SMAN 2 Pontianak student’s before and after the guided discovery learning model is applied.  This research method was pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The study sample were the students of  XI MIA 2 that was determined by Purposive sampling techniques. Science process skill test used as a data collector. After the data were done, the pretest result showed that the students’ science process skill was in the category of very less, less, good enough, good and excellent, respectively are 23,68%, 55,26%, 18,42%, 2,63%, and 0%, whereas the posttest result showed that students’ science process skill was in the category of very less, less, good enough, good and excellent, respectively are 0%, 2,63%, 10,52%, 55,26%, and 31,57%. The Wilcoxon test result obtained value Asymp. sig. ((2-tailed) .000 indicating that there is a difference in student science process skill before and after the guided discovery learning model is applied.Keywords: Guided Discovery, Science Process Skill, Learning model
