Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is any difference in the communication skills of students who use the cooperative model of type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) with students who use the conventional model and how much influence the communication skills of students using cooperative model type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) with students which uses the conventional model. The method used is pre-experimental design with Intact draft-Group Comparison. Samples were students of class XI SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak MIA. The results of the data analysis assessment of communication skills of students in the experimental class and control class using testIndependent Samples T-test, shows the differences in communication skills between classes that use the cooperative model of type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) and class that uses the conventional model. The results were obtained, there is a difference in communication skills of students who use the cooperative model of type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) with students using conventional models. Based on the calculation, the results indicate that the influence of cooperative learning type Two Stay Two Stray against the communication skills of students at 51.6%.

Abstract

The aims of this research to determine the conventional biotechnology products typical by the people of Kalimantan Barat, determine the feasibility and know the response of conventional biotechnology supplement book based on local wisdom by the people of Kalimantan Barat. This research takes the form of research and development (R&D) by adopting the Borg & Gall development model. The results of data processing on conventional biotechnology supplement books based on local wisdom by the people of Kalimantan Barat show that this supplement book that was developed was very feasible to use in learning in terms of the percentage of content, presentation, language and graphics worthiness of 89%; 89.5%; 83.81; and 82.77%. The results of student responses in the initial field trials amounted to 83.27% and in the main field trials amounted to 85.03%. The results of this research can be concluded that the feasibility level of conventional biotechnology supplement book based on the local wisdom by the people of Kalimantan Barat as a supplement of teaching materials is very feasible to use and get a good response from junior high school.

Abstract

This research aim to describe the differences in science process skill of SMAN 2 Pontianak student’s before and after the guided discovery learning model is applied.  This research method was pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The study sample were the students of  XI MIA 2 that was determined by Purposive sampling techniques. Science process skill test used as a data collector. After the data were done, the pretest result showed that the students’ science process skill was in the category of very less, less, good enough, good and excellent, respectively are 23,68%, 55,26%, 18,42%, 2,63%, and 0%, whereas the posttest result showed that students’ science process skill was in the category of very less, less, good enough, good and excellent, respectively are 0%, 2,63%, 10,52%, 55,26%, and 31,57%. The Wilcoxon test result obtained value Asymp. sig. ((2-tailed) .000 indicating that there is a difference in student science process skill before and after the guided discovery learning model is applied.Keywords: Guided Discovery, Science Process Skill, Learning model

Abstract

The development research of the Simple Inorganic Chemical Compound Nomenclature Module aimed to determine the level of feasability and response of students toward the module that was developed. The form of research used was Research and Development (R&D) adopted the Jerrold Kemp development model. The technique for selecting this research sample was random sampling to 30 students of SMK PGRI Pontianak. The instrument of data collection used, namely a sheet of feasability assessment and student questionnaire responses. The results of data analysis showed that the Simple  Inorganic Chemical Compound Nomenclature Module was very feasible (88,05%). Students respond toward the Simple Inorganic Chemical Compound Nomenclature Module was relatively good (72,54%). The results of the advisability assessment and student questionnaire response showed that the ‘‘Simple Inorganic Chemical Compound Nomenclature Module’’ was very feasible to use in the learning process.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to determine the feasibility of digital pocket book based on science, environment, technology and society (SETS) on oxidation reduction reaction material and to measure students response. The form of this research was research and development (R&D) that adapted from the Four D (4D) model that limited into Three D (3D) steps. The subject of this study was digital pocket book based on SETS which was on X IPA students of MAS Al mustaqim Kubu Raya at the initial trial and main trial. Data collection instruments used were expert appraisal assessment sheets and students response questionnaire. The result of data processing showed that digital pocket book was very feasible (94,5%) that in terms of material aspect, graphic aspect, and language aspect. Based on students response questionnaire, the response result in the initial trial and main trial were 91% and 90,4% that classified as very good category. These datas showed that digital pocket book was very feasible and got very good students response.

Abstract

This study were aims to determine whether there are differences in learning outcomes of students before and after being taught using videoscribe media and  influence the using of videoscribe media on learning outcomes of students of atomic structure material class X IPA SMAN 2 Sungai Raya. This research is a pre-experimental study with One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. The subjects in this study were class X IPA 2, amounting to 32 students. Normality test data of the initial test results and the final test using the Shapiro-Wilk test with sig values. test = 0.05 results in initial test scores not normally distributed with sig scores. 0.001 and the final test value is normally distributed, Sig is greater than 0.05 with a significance value of 0.223. Wilcoxon signed rank test results show that the Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) value is less than 0.05, 0.000 <0.05. It can be said there is an increase in student learning outcomes after being given treatment. N-Gain calculation results obtained a value of 0.38 which shows learning using videoscribe media on atomic structure material gives an increase in the medium category in students.Keywords: videoscribe, learning outcomes, atomic structure

Abstract

This study aims was determine the level of eligibility of and response of students to the Back to Nature Student Worksheet based on guided inquiry based on natural and acid indicator materials developed. The form of research used is the Jarold Kemp development model. The sample selection technique for this study was stratified random sampling in 30 VII grade students of MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak. Data collection tools used are the feasibility assessment sheet and student questionnaire responses. The results of data analysis showed that the LKPD back to nature based on guided inquiry on natural and acidic natural indicator material was very feasible (81.58%). Students' responses to LKPD back to nature based on inquiry guided by natural and acidic natural indicator materials are very good (85.78%). The results of the feasibility assessment and student response test showed that LKPD back to nature based on guided inquiry on natural and acidic natural indicator material is very feasible to use in the learning process.Keywords: LKPD, natural indicators, acids and bases, guided inquiry, development

Abstract

This research is aimed to produce chemistry teaching material by connecting islamic values that was feasible to be used and to find out student’s responses to the product that developed. The form of the research was Research and Development (R & D)    with the ADDIE development model. The subject of this research is chemistry teaching material by connecting islamic values that was tested on  XI MIA class at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. Data collection instrument that was used were feasibility questionnaires and student responses questionnaires. The result showed that chemistry teaching material by connecting islamic values  was very valid for contents feasibility (91,42%), very valid for presentation feasibility (92%), valid for language feasibility (80%), and valid for islamic values feasibility (78,94%). The result of student’s responses showed that the chemistry teaching material has very high interpretations with total score of 81,88%. Thus, chemistry teaching material by connecting islamic values can be used as support in the learning process at school

Abstract

The problem that arises in this study is that the assessment carried out by the teacher takes a relatively long time because of the manual calculation of points.  Then the teacher tends to make the same questions for all students, it makes it easier for students to collaborate. This study aims to determine the feasibility of an online evaluation tool using wondershare quizcreator on molecular shape materials. The form of this research is research and development (R&D) based on the steps of the ADDIE development model. The online evaluation tool using Wondershare Quizcreator on molecular shape material has been tested for feasibility by experts, including the feasibility of the material, language, and graphics. The expert feasibility test results show that the developed online evaluation tool is categorized as very feasible. This feasibility is viewed from the results of the validation of the feasibility of the material by 95.6%, the feasibility of language by 90.63%, and the feasibility of graphics by a percentage of 94.64%.
