Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the fastcounting ability of SMK students and the team can also increase the empowerment of partners according to the problems faced and can establish cooperation with partners. The activity took place on May 20, 2024 at SMKN 2 Belu involving 50 SMK students. This Community Service (PkM) activity starts from situation analysis, activity design, socialization, implementation, and evaluation of activities. Some things that can be concluded are that students look enthusiastic and give the impression that this activity is very helpful in solving math problems, all students are involved in answering the questions given, and this method is not boring because there are chants and games played together. This activity was only limited to addition and multiplication material, and lasted for 1 day only so that not all students fully understood the material presented, this resulted in some students not meeting the KKM.

Abstract

The world is heading towards the era of Society 5.0, which requires learning Mathematics as much as possible to be easy to understand and interesting for students. Technology-based visualization, such as the use of Geogebra, can help students understand Mathematics formulas better. Therefore, teachers who are members of the High School Mathematics MGMP need to have insight into the importance of technology-based learning as a strategy to improve teaching quality. This activity aims to open teachers' insights into visualization and technology-based Mathematics learning, and help them develop creative learning modules and tools. The activity method includes four meetings consisting of webinars and workshops. The first webinar contains an introduction to the importance of visualization-based learning; the second webinar provides training in using Geogebra/R onsite or hybrid; the third webinar trains the creation of learning modules; and the fourth webinar presents the theory of writing scientific papers and using Mendeley. The results show that teachers are able to make creative and interesting lesson plans and learning modules using Geogebra/R, and motivate students to learn Mathematics independently or in groups. Some of the modules produced have been tested at school, although none of the participants have succeeded in making papers ready for publication. This activity succeeded in improving the ability of teachers to utilize technology for learning Mathematics.

Abstract

This is a literature review focusing on the existence of fixed-point in Banach Space. This research aims to investigate the existence of fixed-point in Banach Space by examining the Schauder Fixed-Point Theorem and its extensions. This research began with a review of fundamental concepts such as metric space, compactness, convexity, and operator in Banach Space, the research proceeds to analyse the proof of the Schauder Fixed Point Theorem, which asserts that every continuous mapping on a compact and convex subset of Banach Space has a fixed point. This research further extends this result by examining cases where it is not the operator itself but the image of the operator that is compact yet still guarantees the existence of a fixed point. These findings broaden the applicability of Schauder Fixed-Point Theorem and suggest potential for its use in mathematical problems involving nonlinear-operators in infinite-dimensional spaces.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in border areas faces complex challenges, particularly in schools such as SMP Negeri Silawan and SMP Negeri SATAP Suspini. This study aims to describe the dynamics of teachers’ adaptation to Merdeka Curriculum within the context of infrastructural limitation, socio-econimic contiditions and local cultural values. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations and document analysis. The results reval that despite  strong commitment from schools and teachers, key obstacles such as limited access to training, inadequate facilities and low digital literacy continue to hinder effevtive implementation. However, adaptive strategies such as teacher collaboration, modification of teaching materials and the integration of of local cultural values into learning processes show potential to enhance curriculum relevance. These results highlight the need to strengthen teacher capacity about learning methods, improve infrastructure and provide greater flexibility in curriculum application to suit local contexts in border areas.
