Abstract

Background: Counseling service is a process of two-way communication between counselor (midwife) and acceptors for helping their problems related to family planning programmed. Such service particularly is to help the client (family planning participant) in choosing contraceptive method which suitable for them. Counseling service may improve the client satisfaction in participating family planning programmed and increase the utilization of family planning services.Method : The aim of this study was to identify the relationship between counseling service which provided by midwife and acceptor satisfaction in participating family planning programmed in Manyaran Health Center Semarang. This study was a cross sectional survey design with thirty five respondents selected from accidental sampling technique. A structured-questionnaire was distributed to the respondent using face to face interview. Collected data was analyzed using a Pearson product moment test.Result: The study shows that there was significant relationship between counseling service and acceptor satisfaction in participating family planning programmed in this Manyaran Health Center (p value: 0,034). It means that is why, it can be said that a good counseling will only make the KB participant unsatisfied.Keywords: counseling, family planning, acceptor satisfaction.

Abstract

Background: Phenomenon of “Campus Chicken” was analogues to an iceberg phenomenon where the ice on the surface seems less visible but underneath there are many more. Sexual behavior are symbolic that influence how we think about ourselves, how we relate with others and how others relate and think about us. This study aims to examine sexual behavior of “campus chicken” in Semarang city. Method: The research design was qualitative exploration with cross sectional approach. Sampling techniques used snowball chain sampling, obtained six respondents. Collecting data used by indepth interview. Triangulation method was Focus Group Discussion (FGD, and In-depth interview to informant. Analyzing method used thematic analysis. Results: Base on the collected data, there are five themes namely Self Concept, Language, Socialization, Sexual Script and Safe Sex Behavior. Most of respondents valued themselves as friendly individual, attractive performance and accept “campus chicken” called. Socialization had effect to permissive behavior between women and men. Most of respondents considered the society culture and norms (cultural scripts), in selecting place, time and people have a goal to provide environmental suitability to community (interpersonal scripts) and what will be done, with what people like, safe sex behavior and the what sexual activity (intra psychic scripts). Safe sex behavior was shown by using condom and routine health checking to gynecologist. The importance of life skill was to develop self esteem and self concept, counseling service, entrepreneurship skills and partnership to become major programs to overcome this problem.

Abstract

Background: Delivery process is a big moment in women’s life and will effect to their role’s change. Psychological burden of post partum is an emotional symptoms and feeling like downhearted, insomnia, physically tired and do not know what they do with the new role. Role pressure and role could influence women’s depression development after delivery. Toavoid the physically tired, emotional increased and psychological crisis, human should learn to face the problem effectively by adaptation mechanism or adjustment. Family, friend and parent have important role in social system of delivery’s mother. The aim of research is to examine the socio-psychological adaptation among delivery’s mothers in In-patient department RSUD Kota Semarang.Method: The research design is qualitative study by emic dimension approach. The informants are ten mothers who had delivered 2 days, 2 nurses, and ten people from family delivery’s mother. Data collecting was conducted by in-depth interview with interview guideline. Data analysis was done by content analysis.Result: Age, education, and social economic status influenced psychology and physiology of delivery mothers. Experiences and family support were being reinforcing factors for delivery mothers to adapt after delivery.Key words: adaptation, socio-psychology, delivery’s mother
