Abstract

Implementasi higher order thinking skills (HOTS) dalam pembelajaran sains di SD sangat diperlukan agar siswa mendapat stimulasi untuk berpikir kritis dan kreatif melalui tugas-tugas eksperimen sains. Tugas-tugas kegiatan belajar mengajar perlu diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran berorientasi HOTS dengan disesuaikan pada karakteristik perkembangan berpikir siswa SD, kurikulum, dan disesuaikan dengan hakikat IPA sebagai produk, proses, dan sikap ilmiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran IPA berkategori HOTS melalui penerapan pelatihan partisipatif, terdiri atas tahapan analisis kebutuhan peserta pelatihan, pengkajian materi, merancang tugas pembelajaran IPA berkategori HOTS secara kolaboratif. Subjek yang dilibatkan sebanyak 14 guru SD di Kecamatan Laweyan Kota Surakarta. Desain penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan merancang pembelajaran sains di SD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan guru-guru SD dalam merancang pembelajaran sains berkategori HOTS setelah mengikuti pelatihan memiliki skor lebih tinggi daripada sebelum mengikuti pelatihan partisipatif.

Abstract

Rendahnya keterampilan proses sains siswa sekolah dasar masih menjadi tantangan, terutama karena dominasi metode ceramah yang kurang interaktif, seperti tercermin dalam data PISA 2022 dan observasi di salah satu SD di Wonogiri yang menunjukkan hanya 35% siswa mampu menjelaskan perubahan wujud benda secara ilmiah. Metode Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) telah banyak digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual, tetapi belum banyak dikaji efektivitasnya dalam pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan gaya belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode POE berdiferensiasi terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa dengan pendekatan kuantitatif berbasis koresional. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner skala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode POE berdiferensiasi tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa secara statistik. Namun, penerapan diferensiasi dalam pembelajaran POE tetap penting karena memberikan fleksibilitas bagi siswa dengan berbagai gaya belajar dan tingkat pemahaman. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa efektivitas POE dapat meningkat jika didukung oleh strategi diferensiasi yang lebih terarah dan optimalisasi tahap eksplorasi dalam pembelajaran sains, terutama dengan mempertimbangkan tahap perkembangan kognitif siswa sesuai teori Piaget.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of simple practicum activities on improving cognitive aspects of learning outcomes on participant educate class III SD Negeri Gegeran . This study uses a type of experimental quantitative research which uses the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The location of this research is SD Negeri Gegeran, Arjosari Pacitan District. Data collection techniques using pre-test and post-test . In this study calculate the validity and reliability of the test items. The analysis technique in this study uses normality test, linearity test, and homogeneity test. The hypothesis test used is a simple linear regression test. Based on the analysis of the data, the conclusions obtained are: (1) the normality test in the control class is 0.200 and the experimental class is 0.056, so that both are greater than 0.005 and the data is normally distributed, (2) the linearity test for the control class is 0.646 and the experimental class 0.444 so that it is greater than 0.05 and is linear (3) the effect of simple practicum activities on improving student learning outcomes is evidenced by the hypotheses obtained, namely 0.020 < 0.05 and the effect has a value of 78%.Keywords: Science, Simple Practicum, Learning Outcomes, Cognitive Aspects, Elementary Scholl

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to 1) determine whether there is a relationship between teacher professional competence and science learning outcomes; 2) the relationship between learning discipline and science learning outcomes; 3) the relationship between teacher professional competence and learning discipline together with science learning outcomes. The method used is a correlational method. The sample is 86 students in grade 5th of 3 elementary schools. Data collection techniques use tests in the form and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this research is simple correlation analysis and double correlation analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that 1) there is a significant relationship between teacher professional competence and science learning outcomes, namely the correlation coefficient rcount (0.457) > rtable (0.217) with a significance of tcount (4.712) > ttable (1.988); there is a significant relationship between learning discipline and science learning outcomes with a correlation coefficient of rcount (0.642) > rtable (0.217) with a significance of tcount (7.67) > ttable (1.988); there is a significant relationship between teacher professional competence and learning discipline together with science learning outcomes, namely  (0.687) > rtable (0.217), the significance of Fcount (37.0037) > Ftable (3.1065)

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the understanding of elementary school teachers in developing differentiated learning through training and mentoring methods. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The sample in this study were teachers in Kendal District, Ngawi Regency, East Java Province. The data collection technique used is a test. Data were analyzed using N-Gain. The results showed an increase in teacher understanding in developing differentiation learning. The pre-test showed an average score of 62.07 while the post-test increased with an average score of 85. Thus, teachers can improve their pedagogical skills in developing differentiated learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of elementary school students in relation to the development of a Science e-module based on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in order to foster green moral awareness. The background of this research lies in the low level of students’ awareness of environmental issues and the importance of integrating sustainability values into the learning process, particularly in science education. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving fourth-grade teachers and students. The analysis revealed that students require learning media that are interactive, contextual, and capable of building both understanding and a caring attitude toward the environment. These findings serve as a crucial foundation for designing an ESD-based e-module that aligns with the characteristics and learning needs of elementary school students. The development of this ESD-based e-module is expected to provide a solution for enhancing students’ understanding of scientific concepts while simultaneously instilling sustainability values from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how project-based learning (PjBL) can enhance student independence in civic education for fourth-grade students in an elementary school context. The research was conducted as a qualitative case study at SD Negeri 11 Martapura, involving one civic education teacher and twenty-four fourth-grade students. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with the teacher and selected students, and documentation of project results. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model, which included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of PjBL in civic education strengthens student independence through several dimensions: self-initiative in completing tasks, responsibility in group projects, discipline in managing time, and confidence in presenting results. Supporting factors include the teacher’s role as a facilitator, the integration of simple digital tools (such as slides and video presentations), and active parental involvement. Meanwhile, challenges faced were the limited availability of technological resources in the classroom and the varied levels of student readiness. In conclusion, PjBL effectively fosters independent learning characters in elementary civic education. From the perspective of educational technology, the model demonstrates how instructional design and the integration of simple technology can create meaningful learning experiences that support character development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication skills of elementary school students in the context of 21st century learning through the application of the 4C-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects of this study were 5th grade students at SD Negeri Bekonang 02, Mojolaban District in 2024/2025. Data collection used observation, interview, and documentation techniques, and was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results showed that the application of 4C-based PBL can improve students' written communication skills in science learning. Students become more active in expressing several opinions and writing experimental reports. Learning in elementary schools should be contextual, collaborative, and also problem-based in order to support skilled communication skills in the classroom.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the implementation of the PBL Based on 4C in Independent Curriculum science and social learning for 5th Grade students at SD Negeri Wirun 01 in Sukoharjo Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year. The teachers who participated were class 5 teachers with more than 10 years of teaching experience. This research was carried out by observing and seeing directly the teacher who was teaching in class. The research method used in this research is a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. Data collection techniques for qualitative research include observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The research results showed that the PBL Based on 4c model can have a positive impact on teachers and students in implementing 21st century learning. Later, the results of this research can support the implementation of 4C which includes Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration and Communication for 5th Grade students, especially in when learning science and science using the independent curriculum.
