Abstract

tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengkaji aspek–aspek keterbatasan sumberdaya mangrove yang tersedia di alam sekitar, maupun kerentanan spesies mangrove dalam interaksinya dengan manusia (konservatif maupun eksploitatif). Metode penulisan bersifat narrative literature review, dengan kajian yang membahas 4 (empat) determinan keterbatasan sumberdaya mangrove itu berupa: (1). Keterbaruan; (2) Kelangkaan; (3). Kerusakan; dan (4). Kepunahan. Mangrove, tanaman ajaib yang hanya tumbuh di kawasan air payau yang dipengaruhi pasang surut air laut tersebut, diketahui memberi banyak sekali manfaat kepada manusia; baik secara fisika, kimiawi, biologis maupun sosio–ekonomis. Mangrove sejak awal merupakan vegetasi dalam jumlah terbatas, Habitatnya terus terdesak oleh manusia untuk diambil manfaat kayunya, serta mengubah paksa ruang hidupnya untuk komoditas lain seperti udang, ikan, maupun sawit. Menghilangnya mangrove dari suatu kawasan tentu sangat disayangkan, karena membawa dampak kerugian sistemik dan multi–dimensional bagi alam sekitar dan manusia

Abstract

Research has been carried out in the Laboratory of mathematics and natural sciences, almuslim university. The study aims to determine the interaction between concentration and type of leaf Aloe vera L extract to inhibition Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The research method was experimental method. The antibacterial activity assays performed using the diffusion method. The research used Randomized Completely Design (RCD) factorial and three replications. Variables measured were diameter of inhibition formed and color characteristics diameter inhibition. Data were analyzed using analysis of varian (ANOVA), followed by Duncan's test. The results showed there are interaction between the concentration and type of extract Aloe vera L. leaf and Piper betel L leaves to the inhibition of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Abstract

The environment is something that exists around life or organisms. A clean environment means no disease, less flooding, fresh, clean air, and so on. The increase in the number of building construction and the number of vehicles indirectly affects the increase in air temperature in the environment. This results in air pollution so that green open spaces are increasingly under pressure. One of the negative impacts of this is global warming and climate change. The way to reduce the effects of global warming and climate change is to increase number of trees through planting. This community service activity is green open space training by planting Red Shoot Trees in Payacut Village, District. Peusangan District. Bireuen. This activity aimed to reduce the causes of flooding, reduce air pollution, and create a green and healthy environment. Community service activities were carried out through 3 stages, namely preparation, implementation and reporting. The method of implementing activities was through lectures (question and answer) and demonstrations. The results of PKM activities were: 1) community understanding and awareness of the importance of protecting the environment, 2) increasing community motivation to care for the environment by participating in tree planting activities, and 3) creating a community that cares about greening the environment and a healthy environment through tree planting activities. This activity is carried out continuously by lecturers and students of the Master of Natural Resources and Environmental Management Study Program, Almuslim University Postgraduate Program.

Abstract

The community service aimed to enhance students’ knowledge of various livestock and the importance of animal-derived food products as the foundation for a healthy and nutritious life. One of the potentials for children's intelligence comes from consuming healthy food products. Activities were carried out using exposure and evaluation methods through pre-test and post-test. The activity results showed increased students' knowledge, with the average pre-test score being 50.74 and the average post-test score after the material presentation being 83.70.  During the activity, students were seen as enthusiastic about the material presented. In conclusion, this activity improved knowledge regarding the recognition of various livestock and animal-derived food products. Students were able to enhance their understanding of various ruminant and poultry livestock based on their characteristics and names. Additionally, students better understood the sources of healthy and nutritious animal protein food products.

Abstract

Biota components can provide an overview of the physical, chemical and biological conditions of a waters. One biota that can be used as a biological parameter in determining the condition of a waters is biota. Changes in the quality of water and its living substrate greatly affect the abundance and diversity of biota. The aim of this study was to identify fresh water microbiota and physicochemical analysis of water in the Lhok Batee Jeumpa Reservoir. The research method used is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research. Based on the research results, there are 13 types of Plankton consisting of 12 families in the Lhok Batee Reservoir. Plankton diversity is included in the low category with a diversity index of 0.4296. Dissolved Oxygen (DO) levels obtained the lowest value in sample 2-A of 4.70 mg/L and the highest value in samples 1-B, 4-B and 5-A of 5.20 mg/L, according to the standard quality Class 2 (4 mg/L). Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) levels obtained the lowest value in sample 5-A of 1.00 mg/L and the highest value in sample 3-A of 12.50 mg/L, in accordance with Class 2 quality standards (3 mg/ L). Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) levels obtained the lowest value in sample 1-B of 20.22 mg/L and the highest value in sample 5-B of 84.76 mg/L, according to Class 2 quality standards (25 mg/L).

Abstract

Pertumbuhan rumput dipengaruhi oleh kesuburan tanah. Meningkatkan kesuburan tanah dapat dilakukan dengan memberi pupuk pada tanah. Langkah ini dapat dilakukan dengan penggunaan pupuk organik cair (POC) sebagai sumber utamanya yaitu urine domba. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Coat Ara Kecamatan Kutablang Kabupaten Bireuen-Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok non Faktorial dengan empat perlakuan dan empat ulangan sebagai kelompok. Perlakuan A: Kontrol (tanpa pemberian pupuk); Perlakuan B: POC 50 ml/perlakuan; Perlakuan C: POC 100 ml/perlakuan; Perlakuan D: POC 150 ml/perlakuan. Parameter yang diamati adalah jumlah anakan, jumlah daun, tinggi tanaman dan produksi rumput gajah mini. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pemberian POC dengan level berbeda dapat mempertahankan jumlah anakan, dan dapat meningkatkan jumlah daun, tinggi tanaman dan produksi rumput gajah mini. Pemberian dengan jumlah terbaik pupuk organik cair terdapat pada perlakuan D (150 ml/perlakuan).

Abstract

Kualitas dan kuantitas hijauan yang fluktuatif menjadi hambatan dalam pemenuhan pakan ternak ruminansia. Pelepah sawit sangat potensial dijadikan sebagai pakan ternak. Namun, pelepah sawit harus diolah melalui fermentasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas nutrisinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh nilai nutrisi fermentasi pelepah sawit yang difermentasi menggunakan Suplemen Organik Cair (SOC) dengan level berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan materi pelepah sawit dan SOC. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan 3 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari P1= Tanpa Penambahan SOC 0%; P2= Penambahan SOC 4%; dan P3= Penambahan SOC 8%. Parameter yang diteliti adalah bahan kering (BK), bahan organik (BO), dan protein kasar (PK). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (Anova) dan bila terjadi pengaruh dilakukan uji lanjut Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan SOC pada fermentasi pelepah sawit tidak berpengaruh nyata (P besar dari 0.05) terhadap kadar bahan kering, bahan organik dan protein kasar. Perlakuan tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan P2. Rataan kadar bahan kering, bahan organik dan protein kasar pada perlakuan P2 yaitu 43.58%, 158.57%, dan 20.40%. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah penambahan SOC pada berbagai level tidak meningkatkan kandungan nutrisi pelepah sawit.

Abstract

Kandang merupakan salah satu kunci keberhasilan dikarenakan untuk membuat kondisi yang nyaman bagi tumbuh dan kembang ternak didalamnya sehingga dapat mencapai produktivitas yang maksimal. Kandang closed house yaitu kandang dengan sistem tertutup bertujuan untuk menjaga keamanan biologis seperti menghindari kontak langsung dengan makhluk hidup lainnya yang dapat membawa penyakit dan stress pada ayam. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi performa produksi ayam broiler dan mengetahui pendapatan usaha pada pemeliharaan kandang closed house. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Metode deskriptif dengan teknik observasi. Variable penelitian yang diamati adalah konsumsi ransum, bobot badan, feed conversion ratio (FCR), mortalitas dan index performance (IP). Hasil penelitian diperoleh bobot badan sebesar 2527 g/ekor, konsumsi ransum 3250 g/ekor, FCR sebesar 1,29 dan IP 477. Performa produksi ayam broiler pada kandang sistem closed house tergolong pada kategori sangat baik. Hal ini dibuktikan dari rendahnya tingkat kematian dan tingginya indeks performance (IP) yang dihasilkan

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat aktivitas antibakteri dari bakteri asam laktat (BAL) yang sudah diisolasi dari saluran pencernaan itik lokal asal Aceh. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi gen 16S rRNA menggunakan metode PCR dan Sekuensing diperoleh lima BAL yaitu Lactobacillus plantarum strain C1; Pediococcus acidilactici strain V2; Lactobacillus fermentum Strain D3; Lactobacillus fermentum Strain I1; Lactobacillus fermentum Strain S4. Penelitian ini mengukur kemampuan aktivitas lima BAL terhadap Salmonella pullorum dan Escherichia coli yang dilakukan dengan difusi (teknik sumuran). Uji ketahanan terhadap kondisi asam (pH 2) dan ketahanan terhadap garam empedu (bile salt) dilakukan dengan metode Total Plate Count (TPC) menggunakan medium agar MRS metode pour plate. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa Pediococcus acidilactici strain V2 memiliki aktivitas antimikroba terbaik terhadap bakteri Salmonella pullorum dan Escherichia coli. Pediococcus acidilactici strain V2 juga memberikan hasil terbaik pada ketahanan terhadap pH 2 dan garam empedu 1%.(Antibacterial activity of LAB isolated from the digestive tract of a native Aceh duck of Salmonella Pullorum and Escherichia coli)ABSTRAK. This study aimed to examine the antibacterial activity of lactic acid bacteria isolated from digestive tract of Local ducks from Aceh. Identification of the 16S rRNA gene using PCR and sequencing methods were obtained five LAB is Lactobacillus plantarum strain C1; Pediococcus acidilactici strain V2; Lactobacillus fermentum Strain D3; Lactobacillus fermentum Strain I1; and Lactobacillus fermentum Strain S4. This study measure the ability five BAL activity test against Salmonella pullorum and Escherichia coli by diffusion (well technique). Test of resistance to acid conditions (pH2) and to bile salt were using the Total Plate Count (TPC) method with MRS Agar medium by pour plate. The results showed that Pediococcus acidilactici strain V2 had the best antimicrobial activity against Salmonella pullorum and Escherichia coli. Pediococcus acidilactici strain V2 also gave the best results on resistance to pH 2 and 1% bile salt.

Abstract

Terjaminnya kesehatan dan kehalalan dari daging ayam dipengaruhi salah satunya oleh proses penyembelihan. Penelitian bertujuan mengevaluasi penyembelihan ternak ayam pada tempat pemotongan unggas (TPU) di pasar Panton Labu Kecamatan Tanah Jambo Aye Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskripsi kualitatif. Parameter yang diamati adalah penyembelihan (melafazkan bismillahiallahuakbar atau bismillahir rahmanirahiim, memutuskan trakhea, esophagus dan arteri carotid), penyembelih (islam, baligh, berakal sehat), hewan yang di sembelih (unggas hidup, unggas sehat, menghadap kiblat), dan Alat penyembelihan (Pisau tajam, Pisau tidak berasal dari tulang, kuku dan gigi). Hasil pengamatan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyembelihan unggas pada tempat pemotongan unggas (TPU) di Kecamatan Tanah Jambo Aye Kabupaten Aceh Utara secara keseluruhan TPU telah menghasilkan unggas aman, sehat, utuh, dan halal (ASUH) berdasarkan 4 variabel yaitu: pada saat hendak penyembelihan melafazkan basmallah dan memutuskan esophagus, trakhea, arteri carotid, penyembelih beragama islam, baligh dan berakal sehat, hewan yang disembelih adalah unggas hidup, dalam keadaan sehat serta menghadap kiblat, dan alat penyembelihan menggunakan pisau yang tajam dan tidak berasal dari tulang, kuku, dan gigi.
