Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of exposure duration of magnetic field 0.1 mT on the germination of green beans. Research compiled in a completely randomized design (CRD) with a single factor, namely the long exposure of 0.1 mT magnetic field comprising: control (A), 7 minutes and 48 seconds (B), 11 minutes 44 seconds (C), and 15 minutes 36 seconds (D). The parameter measured was the percentage of germination. The results of data analysis at the α = 5% indicates that all treatments of magnetic field affects the germination rate.  The optimal duration exposure of magnetic field 0,1 mT to increase germination rate is 15 minutes 36 seconds (D).  The average value of the test results for the eighth grade students for sub material of Plant Growth using the student worksheet (SW) which is based on the results of this study indicate that SW feasible to use as a learning resource.            Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama pemaparan kuat medan magnet 0,1 mT terhadap perkecambahan kacang hijau. Penelitian disusun dalam   Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan faktor tunggal, yaitu lama pemaparan medan magnet 0,1 mT yang terdiri dari: Kontrol (A), 7 menit 48 detik (B), 11 menit 44 detik (C), dan 15 menit 36 detik (D). Parameter yang diukur adalah persentase perkecambahan. Hasil analisis data pada α = 5% menunjukkan bahwa semua perlakuan medan magnet mempengaruhi kecepatan perkecambahan.  Lama pemaparan yang optimal berpengaruh terhadap parameter adalah lama pemaparan 15 menit 36 detik (D). Nilai rata-rata hasil ujian Siswa SMP kelas VIII untuk sub materi Pertumbuhan Tumbuhan menggunakan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) yang disusun berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukan LKS tersebut layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar. Kata kunci: kacang hijau, medan magnet, persentase perkecambahan.

Abstract

This research aimed was to describe students misconception on Photosynthesis and Plant Respiration and factors that were affected students misconception on 8th grade student in Seputih Agung district. The research samples were 339 student that were selected by purposive sampling and using descriptive design. Data were obtained from misconception test and questionnaire. Data analyzed with Certainty of Response Index while questionnaire were analyzed by Pearson Product Moment Correlation test. Study result showed that percentage of students with higher percentage on misconception were 56,61% that including medium criteria. The most misconception experienced by students were photosynthesis and respiration concept that was 58,22%. Study result of Pearson Product Moment Correlation test showed that the factors that affected student misconceptions in this research were students motivation and learning method.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan miskonsepsi siswa pada konsep fotosintesis dan respirasi tumbuhan serta faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap miskonsepsi siswa SMP Kelas VIII se- Kecamatan Seputih Agung. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 339 siswa dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan desain deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah soal tes miskonsepsi dan angket. Data dianalisis dengan Certainty of Response Index (CRI) sedangkan angket dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji korelasi pearson. Hasil data menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi Fotosintesis dan Respirasi Tumbuhan memiliki persentase terbesar pada kategori miskonsepsi yaitu 56,61% dengan kriteria sedang. Miskonsepsi paling banyak dialami siswa pada konsep fotosintesis dan respirasi tumbuhan sebesar 58,22 dengan kriteria sedang. Hasil uji korelasi pearson menunjukkan faktor yang mempengaruhi miskonsepsi siswa pada penelitian ini adalah motivasi siswa dan metode pembelajaran.Kata kunci: Certainty of Response Index (CRI), fotosintesis, miskonsepsi, respirasi

Abstract

This research was a descripttive research that aimed to identify the local wisdom that can be used as learning resource of science in junior high school. The subjects of this research were 10 teachers by using purpossive sampling and 421 students by using clustered sampling. The data collection technique was used triangulation, analyzed by descriptively. The results showed that local wisdom can be used as learning source that were non-standart measurement, classification of typical fishes and plants, river management (Grade VII), typical dance movements analyzed in motion system, natural additive, analysis the concept of waves on the musical instrument of Gambus and Sahilin guitar (Grade VIII), the utilization of typical fish and durian in conventional biotechnology and the way in treating swamplands (Grade IX). In conclusion, there were 18 local wisdom can be used as a learning resource science in junior high school.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kearifan lokal yang dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar IPA. Subyek penelitian yaitu 10 guru dengan menggunakan purpossive sampling dan 421 siswa dengan clustered sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan triangulasi yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kearifan lokal yang dapat dijadikan sumber belajar yaitu, pengukuran tidak baku, klasifikasi ikan dan tumbuhan khas, pengelolaan sungai Musi (Kelas VII), ragam gerak tarian yang dianalisis dalam sistem gerak, penggunaan zat aditif alami, analisis konsep gelombang pada alat musik gambus dan gitar sahilin (Kelas VIII), pemanfaatan ikan khas dan buah durian dalam bioteknologi konvensional dan cara dalam mengolah tanah rawa (Kelas IX). Kesimpulannya, terdapat sebanyak 18 kearifan lokal yang sesuai untuk dijadikan sumber belajar IPA SMP. Kata kunci: IPA, kearifan lokal, sumber belajar

Abstract

Critical thinking skills and mastery of subject matter is required by students in the learning procces. The research has purpose to determine the effect of application audio-visual media through TPS model to the critical thinking ability and material mastery on environmental management subject matter. This is a experimental study research by pretest postest non equivalent group design. The samples of this research are VII E and VII F classroom chosen by purposive sampling method. Quantitative data obtained from the pretest and the posttest which analyzed statistically using t-test by spss 17. Qualitative data obtained from questionnaire regarding student response on audio-visual media through TPS model which analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in the critical thinking skills and material mastery of the experimental class on all indicators (critical thinking skills N-gain 61.12%, mastery of subject matter N- gain 62.25%). Moreover, 70% students give positive response on audio-visual media through TPS learning model. Therefore, the using of audio-visual media through TPS has influence significantly to increasing the critical thinking skill and material mastery of the student. Keywords: audio-visual media, cooperative learning model of TPS,   critical thinking skill, material mastery.

Abstract

The study aim was to describe the learning style based on gender and its correlation with students learning achievement. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive. The research samples were 259 students of class VIII SMP Tanjung Karang Barat sub-district that were selected by purposive sampling. The research data were learning styles and learning achievement, that were obtained from questionnaires and written tests, data were analyzed descriptively and statistically using different test Mann-Whitney U and Kendall's Tau correlation test. As a result, auditory learning styles more dominant than the visual and kinesthetic learning styles. On test Mann-Whitney U there was no significant difference between the auditorial learning styles of male and female students. There was significant differences between visual learning styles and kinaesthetic learning styles between male and female students. There was no significant correlation between learning styles with learning achievement of male and female students.Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya belajar berdasarkan gender dan hubungannya dengan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sampel penelitian adalah 259 siswa kelas VIII SMP se-Kecamatan Tanjung Karang Barat yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa gaya belajar dan hasil belajar, diperoleh dari angket dan tes tertulis pilihan jamak, dianalisis secara deskriptif dan statistik menggunakan uji beda Mann-Whitney U dan uji korelasi Kendalls Tau. Hasilnya, jumlah siswa dengan gaya belajar audiotorial lebih dominan dibandingkan gaya belajar visual dan kinestetik. Pada Uji Mann-Whitney U tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara gaya belajar auditorial antar siswa laki-laki dan perempuan, terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara gaya belajar visual dan gaya belajar kinestetik antar siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Tidak terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara gaya belajar dengan hasil belajar pada siswa laki-laki dan perempuan.Kata kunci: gaya belajar, gender, hasil belajar, pembelajaran IPA

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the ability of senior high school biology teacher in Pringsewu in developing syllabus, lesson plan and its suitability. The design of the research is simple descriptive. This research involved 15 senior high school biology teacher in Pringsewu. Data used assessment guide of quantitative data and analyzed descriptively. The results of research showed that senior high school biology teacher in Pringsewu had “high” criterian in developing syllabus, lesson plan and its suitability. For lesson plan, indicator competence of pre-activity showed “less” criterian and indicator competence of post-activity showed “low” criterian.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru biologi SMA Negeri di Kabupeten Pringsewu dalam mengembangkan silabus dan RPP serta kesesuaian antara silabus dan RPP. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif sederhana. Penelitian ini melibatkan 15 guru biologi SMA di Kabupaten Pringsewu. Data menggunakan panduan penilaian dalam bentuk data kuantitatif kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru biologi SMAN Kabupaten Pringsewu dalam mengembangkan silabus dan RPP serta kesesuaian antara silabus dan RPP berkriteria “tinggi”. Pada RPP, di indikator kompetensi kegiatan awal pembelajaran berkriteria “kurang”. dan di indikator kompetensi kegiatan penutup pembelajaran berkriteria “rendah”.Kata kunci : guru biologi, indikator kompetensi, RPP, silabus

Abstract

This research aims were to describe the use of teaching material based on local wisdom to increase student’s learning activity and the mastery of student’s concept through scientific approach. The design that used in this research was one group pretest postest. The subjects of this research was 33 students of grade IV in SDN Kampung Jawa. The material in this reserach was care for the living creatures. The effectiveness was proven by n-Gain the value and supported by students’s learning activity and student’s response survey. The result of this research showed that the mastery concept of studentst (n-Gain) in learning was high criteria, students’s learning activity was good criteria and students’s response to the learning material was very high criteria. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the teaching material based on local wisdom was effective to increase students’s learning activity and mastery of concept in SDN Kampung Jawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Desain yang digunakan adalah one group pretest postest. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 33 siswa kelas IV di SDN Kampung Jawa dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Materi dalam penelitian adalah peduli terhadap makhluk hidup. Keefektivan dibuktikan melalui nilai n-Gain serta didukung oleh aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan konsep siswa (n-Gain) dengan kriteria tinggi, aktivitas belajar siswa berkriteria baik, serta tanggapan siswa terhadap bahan ajar memiliki kriteria sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal efektif untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan aktivitas belajar siswa di SDN Kampung Jawa.Kata kunci: aktivitas, kearifan lokal, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

The purpose of this study known the influence of using learning method two stay-two stray toward students’ study result. Design of this study was pretest-postest equivalent group. The samples were  VIIA and VIIB that chosen by random sampling. This research used quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative data were pretest and postest that analyzed by U-test. The Qualitative data was students activity that descriptive analysis. The result of research showed that students’ highly activity result with N-gain average was 94. Then the result of students activity such as working in group, discussing, and presentation of the result of discussion were also high with the average 85,8 %. Thus, it could be concluded that the learning through TSTS method was influenced to the result and student learning activity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran TSTS terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes-postes kelas ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB  yang dipilih secara random sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-U. Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa tinggi dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 94. Selanjutnya aktivitas bekerjasama dengan teman dalam mencari informasi, melakukan kegiatan diskusi, dan mempresentasikan hasil diskusi pada siswa juga tinggi dengan rata-rata 85,8%. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan model TSTS berpengaruh terhadap hasil dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, ekosistem, hasil belajar, model pembelajaran TSTS

Abstract

This research aimed to describe how the teachers profile in teaching science in 5th grade of Rajabasa elementary school. Subjects research were six science teachers for class V elementary school from six schools in Rajabasa district. Teachers sampling chose by purposive sampling technique. Qualitative data were obtained from learning activity observation sheet by six teachers during the learning process. Data were analyzed descriptively and compared to the process standard that apply contructivism and scientific approach learning. The result showed that learning activity had suitability with process standard that apply contructivism learning with average percentage 51,84% that is medium category. According to the scientific approach learning had average 23,33% that is low category. Therefore science learning based on standard process that apply contructivism and scientific approach learning in Rajabasa district has medium category.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil guru dalam pembelajaran IPA pada kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Rajabasa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah enam guru IPA pada kelas V Sekolah Dasar dari enam sekolah di kecamatan Rajabasa. Sampling guru dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui lembar observasi kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh keenam guru pada saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Data kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dibandingkan dengan standar proses yang menerapkan pembelajaran konstruktivisme dan pendekatan saintifik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesesuaian pembelajaran IPA dengan standar proses yang menerapkan pembelajaran konstruktivisme memiliki presentasi skor rata-rata 51,84% berkategori sedang. Pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik memiliki presentasi skor rata-rata 23,33% berkategori rendah. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan pembelajaran IPA berdasarkan standar proses yang menerapkan pembelajaran konstruktivisme dan pendekatan saintifik di SD kecamatan Rajabasa berkategori sedang.Kata kunci : kontruktivisme, pembelajaran IPA, pendekatan saintifik, profil guru, standar proses

Abstract

This study aims to identify the difficulties of science teachers in planning and implementing an assessment at a private middle school in Labuhan Ratu district, Bandar Lampung City. The samples of the study were all of 8th grade science teachers that were selected with nonprabability sampling technique. This research used descriptive design type. Qualitative data were obtained from interviews of teacher responses and quantitative data were obtained from questionnaires of teacher. The results showed that teachers difficulties in planning the assessment included in sufficient criteria on indicators objectives of the assessment, preparing the instrument, preparing the grid, writing questions based on the grid and writing rules, determining the quality criteria, and compiling the scoring guidelines. The difficulties experienced by teachers in conducting the assessment was sufficient criteria on indicators of the implementation of psychomotor, effective, and cognitive domain. Thus, teachers difficulties in planning and carrying out the assessment was sufficient criteria.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kesulitan Guru IPA dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan asesmen pada SMP Swasta se-Kecamatan Labuhan Ratu Kotamadya Bandar Lampung. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh guru IPA kelas VIII, yang dipilih dengan teknik sampling nonprobability. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan tipe desain deskriptif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari wawancara pada guru dan data kuantitatif diperoleh dari angket pada guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan guru dalam merencanakan asesmen termasuk dalam kriteria cukup pada indikator menetapkan tujuan asesmen, menyusun instrumen, menyusun kisi-kisi, menulis soal berdasarkan kisi-kisi dan kaidah penulisan soal, menentukan kriteria mutu soal, dan menyusun pedoman penskoran. Kesulitan yang dialami oleh guru dalam melaksanakan asesmen termasuk dalam kriteria cukup pada indikator pelaksanaan asesmen ranah psikomotorik, ranah afektif, dan kognitif. Dengan demikian, kesulitan guru dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan asesmen termasuk kriteria cukup.Kata kunci: kesulitan, melaksanakan asesmen, merencanakan asesmen
