Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using a problem-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills on substance pressure material. This research is located at MTs Putri Al-Ishlahuddiny Kediri with a total of 4 classes in class VIII. The samples used in this study were 2 classes selected by simple random sampling, so that class VIII D as the experimental class and Class VIII C as the control class. This type of research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research approach, pretest-postest control group design type . The n-gain test results obtained in the experimental class 0, 12 and the control class -0.044 and based on the results of the hypothesis test using the independent sample t-test test that has been carried out obtained a value of 0.000. Based on the results of the n-gain test and hypothesis testing that the thinking ability of students is more improved in the experimental class so that there is an effect of using theproblem-based learning  modelon the thinking ability of students on substance pressure material.

Abstract

This study aims to test the feasibility and test the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) based Learner Worksheet (LKPD) to train students' critical thinking skills. This research uses the development method with the Borg & Gall model on students of class XI IPA at SMAN 1 Batukliang Utara. The data collection steps in this study are (1) research and data collection/information, (2) planning, (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) design revision, (6) trial, (7) product revision. The results of this study are in the form of media expert validation results of 92.5% and categorized as "very feasible", material experts of 92.5% and categorized as "very feasible". As for the results of the validation of Physics subject teachers obtained results of 91% with the category " highly attractive ". While the development of PBL-based LKPD teaching materials is declared effective based on the response of students on the indicators of the assessment instrument in the form of a questionnaire after the trial by obtaining a percentage of 91% with the category " highly attractive ".

Abstract

Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) kerap menghadapi kesulitan dalam menjelaskan konsep-konsep abstrak dan visual kompleks, seperti struktur atom dan sistem organ manusia. Keterbatasan media konvensional dalam memfasilitasi visualisasi materi berdampak pada rendahnya pemahaman konseptual siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas media interaktif berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa SMP dibandingkan dengan media pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental design) dan rancangan Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP, dengan dua kelas sebagai sampel yang ditentukan secara purposif; satu kelas sebagai kelompok eksperimen menggunakan media AR dan satu kelas sebagai kelompok kontrol menggunakan media konvensional. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar kognitif yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji-t independen untuk membandingkan hasil belajar antar kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, dengan nilai rata-rata yang lebih tinggi pada kelompok yang menggunakan media AR. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa media AR efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA, terutama pada materi yang bersifat visual dan abstrak. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan strategi pembelajaran berbasis bukti yang mendorong integrasi AR dalam kurikulum IPA serta pelatihan guru guna mendukung pemanfaatan teknologi pendidikan secara optimal.

Abstract

Workshop Inovasi Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Web di MTs N 4 Lombok Tengah diselenggarakan pada tahun 2020 dengan tujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru mengenai penggunaan teknologi dalam mendukung pembelajaran daring di masa transisi menuju era new normal. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pendekatan partisipatif, dengan pemahaman teori dan praktik langsung penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis web. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 85% peserta merasa siap untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis web, sedangkan 15% masih merasa ragu-ragu. Respons peserta terhadap kegiatan ini sangat positif, dengan 90% peserta memberikan umpan balik yang sangat positif dan 10% lainnya positif. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk pembelajaran daring. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat tantangan terkait infrastruktur dan kesiapan mental pengajar yang perlu diatasi untuk memastikan kelangsungan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Integrating local content into learning is important for connecting the material to students' daily lives, especially in science education. The use of local knowledge can enhance students' understanding and appreciation, but its application still varies across different schools. This study aims to analyze primary school science teachers' understanding of the application of local content in science learning and to evaluate the extent to which this is applied in lesson planning in East Lombok Regency. Additionally, this research also identifies the constraints encountered in its implementation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative design with data collection methods including questionnaires, observation, RPP analysis, and in-depth interviews to explore understanding, perspectives, and challenges related to the implementation of local content. The integration of local content into science learning in five primary schools and madrasahs in East Lombok remains limited, with only about 18% of grade 5 and 11% of grade 6 material covering local contexts. The main discussion points include limited resources, lack of training, and a rigid curriculum. Reliance on standard textbooks and national policies also hinders the adaptation of materials to the local context. The integration of local content into science learning remains low. Professional development for teachers, increased curriculum flexibility, and the provision of appropriate resources are necessary. Future research could explore strategies to strengthen the integration of local knowledge in science learning.

Abstract

Teaching readiness is a fundamental competency that prospective Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers must develop before entering the professional teaching environment. In addition to pedagogical and content mastery, teaching readiness is influenced by internal factors, particularly learning motivation. This study aims to examine the relationship between learning motivation and teaching readiness among prospective PAI teachers in the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at the State Islamic University (UIN) of Mataram. A quantitative correlational research design was employed involving 40 pre-service PAI teachers selected through total sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires measuring learning motivation and teaching readiness. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and Pearson product-moment correlation. The findings indicate that both learning motivation and teaching readiness of prospective PAI teachers are categorized as high. Furthermore, the correlation analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and teaching readiness (r = 0.63; p < 0.05), demonstrating that higher learning motivation is associated with greater readiness to perform teaching responsibilities. These results suggest that learning motivation serves as an important internal factor in strengthening the professional preparedness of future teachers. Therefore, teacher education programs should prioritize strategies to enhance student motivation as part of efforts to improve teaching readiness. Theoretically, this study contributes empirical evidence to the discourse on teacher education by reinforcing the role of motivational factors in shaping teaching readiness, particularly within the context of Islamic teacher education.
