Abstract

ABSTRAK Metode pembelajaran di kelas SD Negeri 2 Remu Kota Sorong khususnya kelas 2 A masih menggunakan buku cetak namun minim contoh gambar sehingga menyebabkan kurangnya semangat siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Pengalaman tersebut mendorong para akademisi untuk menyempurnakan materi pembelajaran dengan memasukkan media pembelajaran berbasis video yang dibuat dengan software Canva. Paradigma pengembangan ADDIE yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini memuat lima tahapan yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Lembar validasi, ahli media, ahli materi, dan survei respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis video termasuk alat yang digunakan untuk mengukur minat terhadap media pembelajaran. Temuan penilaian materi pembelajaran penelitian ini berdasarkan validasi ahli materi menghasilkan kriteria “sangat valid” dengan persentase 86%, dan validasi ahli media menghasilkan kriteria “sangat valid” dengan persentase 96%. Pengujian alat pembelajaran pada responden untuk melihat minat belajar memberikan hasil sebesar 94% dengan kriteria “sangat positif”, sedangkan pemantauan minat belajar siswa memberikan hasil sebesar 77% dengan kriteria “sangat positif”. ABSTRACT    The learning method in classes at SD Negeri 2 Remu, Sorong City, especially class 2 A, still uses printed books but there are minimal examples of pictures, which causes a lack of enthusiasm for students in participating in learning. This experience encouraged academics to improve learning materials by including video-based learning media created with Canva software. The ADDIE development paradigm used in this research contains lima tahap, yaitu pemeriksaan khusus, perencanaan, kemajuan, pelaksanaan dan penilaian. survei respon siswa, ahli media, ahli materi, dan lembar validasi video-based learning media are among the tools used to measure interest in learning media. The findings of this research's learning material assessment based on material expert validation produced "very valid" criteria with a percentage of 86%, and media expert validation produced "very valid" criteria with a percentage of 96%. Testing learning media on respondents to see interest in learning gave results of 94% with the criteria "very positive", while monitoring students' interest in learning gave results of 77% with the criteria "very positive".

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat lunak Sistem Informasi Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru Berbasis Web dengan PHP dan SQL yang mampu mengelola pelaksanaan Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru yaitu pendaftaran, pengumuman, dan informasi sekolah. Pada penelitian ini juga ditentukan tingkat kelayakan perangkat lunak yang telah dibuat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development. Metode pengembangan perangkat lunak menggunakan Waterfall Model. Skala pengukuran yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah Skala Likert. Pengujian instrumen dilakukan melalui uji validitas oleh ahli. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian menggunakan wawancara, kuesioner dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode black box serta uji kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar. Hasil dari penelitian ini sebagai berikut: (1) sistem informasi penerimaan peserta didik baru berbasis website dikembangkan dengan menggunakan PHP, MySQL, HTML dan CSS. (2) Hasil pengujian aspek kelayakan mendapatkan nilai 91.3% dengan hasil Sangat Layak.   ABSTRACT This research aims to produce Web-based New Student Admissions Information System software with PHP and SQL that is capable of managing the implementation of New Student Admissions, namely registration, announcements and school information. In this research, the level of feasibility of the software that has been created is also determined. This type of research is Research and Development. The software development method uses the Waterfall Model. The measurement scale used for this research is the Likert Scale. Instrument testing is carried out through validity testing by experts. Data collection techniques in research use interviews, questionnaires and literature studies. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis. Testing was carried out using the black box method as well as small group and large group tests. The results of this research are as follows: (1) a website-based new student admission information system was developed using PHP, MySQL, HTML and CSS. (2) The results of the feasibility aspect test obtained a score of 91.3% with Very Feasible results.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan sistem informasi penjualan di Toko Lela berbasis website yang valid dan efektif, dan menghasilkan buku panduan penggunaan sistem informasi penjualan di Toko Lela berbasis website. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development dan model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu model prototype. Uji coba yang digunakan adalah uji coba blackbox dan uji coba lapangan. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu 1 admin/pemilik Toko dan 14 pelanggan Toko Lela. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sistem informasi penjualan di Toko Lela diperoleh hasil validasi ahli mendapatkan kesimpulan sangat baik, oleh karena itu peneliti bisa melakukan ujicoba lapangan kepada responden. Uji coba lapangan dengan 15 responden yang telah dilakukan semua indikator telah memenuhi standar dengan nilai rata-rata 3,7 dari 4,0 dan presentase 93% dari 100% dengan kesimpulan sangat baik, yang artinya sistem valid dan efektif digunakan. Hasil uji coba buku panduan dengan responden 1 admin/pemilik toko dan dengan 14 pelanggan Toko Lela yang telah dilakukan semua indikator telah memenuhi standar dengan nilai rata-rata 3,1 dari 4,0 dan presentase 80% dari 100% dengan kesimpulan sangat baik, yang artinya buku panduan valid dan efektif digunakan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji media pembelajaran berbasis video animasi dengan Powtoon pada mata pelajaran matematika kelas V di MI Roudlotul Khuffadz. Media ini dirancang untuk membantu siswa memahami operasi bilangan bulat, seperti penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian, dan pembagian, dengan cara yang lebih menarik dan mudah dipahami. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Data diperoleh melalui tes sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan media (pretest dan posttest), observasi, serta validasi dari ahli materi dan media. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media ini meningkatkan nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 23-26 poin. Siswa juga lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran, dengan 90% terlibat secara aktif tanpa mengalami kendala teknis. Ahli materi dan media menilai bahwa media ini kreatif, interaktif, sesuai kurikulum, dan mampu meningkatkan minat serta pemahaman siswa dalam belajar matematika. Media video animasi berbasis Powtoon terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di kelas V Sebanyak 85% siswa menunjukkan peningkatan dalam pemahaman materi. Sebanyak 90% siswa terlibat aktif selama proses pembelajaran dan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan diskusi serta penyelesaian tugas kemudian seluruh siswa (100%) tidak mengalami kendala dalam menggunakan media dan mengikuti pembelajaran.

Abstract

During COVID-19 pandemic, online learning has been regulated to be applied in all education levels by the ministry of education and culture in Indonesia. This has brought about the changes in learning culture (Kim, 2020) from face-to-face or traditional classroom to online virtual classroom. One of the impacts of online learning is students are required and encouraged to read online materials as to set up new online reading culture. The swift of reading mode from paper-based to online-based in teaching and learning process has motivated this research as to investigate students’ strategies in reading from online sources for class activities. This study involves finding out metacognitive strategies using the Online Survey of Reading Strategies (OSORS) which already modified by Anderson (2003). Some potential differences of the online reading strategy used by both groups are also scrutinized. The result of the current study reveals that that majority of the students use Problem Solving Strategies. Pedagogical implications of the study are discussed.

Abstract

A learning culture is needed to facilitate the process of learning English for students and to increase student motivation in learning language (Kim, 2020). This research paper aim to examine and describe Indonesian EFL university students’ motivation whether integrative or instrumental in learning English as foreign language. The method used was quantitative by randomly asking the students  enrolled in undergraduate study program of English Literature in one of the Indonesian universities to fill out a questionnaire adapted from Attitude Motivation Test Battery (AMTB) that was developed by R.C. Gardner (1985). The questionnaire was administered to students who come from 2017 generations to 2020 generations. Moreover, this study also examine whether the differences existed in motivation between old students and new students. The data collected were analyzed by using SPSS program to find out the mean score and standard deviation as to answer the questions of this study. The results indicated that students’ motivation in learning English was more highly instrumental than integrative. This study also revealed that new students had more instrumental motivation and old students had more integrative motivation. Based on the findings, lecturers are expected to improve their way of learning for enhancement the students’ motivation. Learning culture developed should take into account and maintain the motivation of students in language learning.

Abstract

The COVID-19 outbreak caused all schools and tertiary educations to be closed. Based on the government's regulation that all teaching and learning activities should be carried out from home through online platform to reduce the expansion of the COVID-19 outbreak. This pandemic situation has changed learning culture in general (Kim, 2020). This condition also encourages lecturers to apply the blended online learning (BOL) method during a pandemic. This present study explores the effect of implementing the blended online learning during pandemic on the development of English language skills, students' perception concerning benefits, limitations, and suggestion of implementing the blended online learning during pandemic. This research used quantitative method for the data collection by using online questionnaire containing 34 Likert-scale and three open-ended questions. The participants were 86 students in an Indonesian tertiary education. The data were analyzed using SPSS 22 to know the reliability, mean and standard deviation of the data. The result revealed that the development of listening, reading and vocabularies skills were mainly affected by implementation of blended online learning during pandemic. The students also perceived that they could develop internet and computer skill and self-paced learning. Moreover, the major problems of implementing the blended online learning included connectivity, followed by preference for hard books than online material. Pedagogical implication includes the need for students to be familiarized with solving technical problems and providing proper online learning training associated with how to learn effectively at blended online learning.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi mendorong institusi pendidikan tinggi untuk menerapkan sistem digital, termasuk dalam proses Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru (PMB). Namun, keberhasilan implementasi sistem PMB daring sangat bergantung pada persepsi pengguna terhadap kemudahan penggunaan (perceived ease of use atau PEOU) dan kebermanfaatan sistem (perceived usefulness atau PU). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh PEOU dan PU terhadap minat calon mahasiswa dalam menggunakan sistem PMB UNIMUDA Sorong. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif asosiatif dengan desain potong lintang (cross-sectional). Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 128 responden, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda, uji-t, uji-F, dan korelasi Pearson. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa baik PEOU maupun PU berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat calon mahasiswa. Nilai Adjusted R² sebesar 0,577 menunjukkan bahwa 57,7% variabilitas minat dijelaskan oleh kedua variabel tersebut. Temuan ini memperkuat kerangka Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), serta menekankan pentingnya pengembangan sistem PMB berbasis User-Centered Design (UCD) yang tidak hanya ramah pengguna dan fungsional, tetapi juga mampu meningkatkan daya tarik institusi serta memberikan pengalaman digital yang optimal bagi generasi Z.

Abstract

The issue of L1 usage in the L2 classroom is still open. Historically, using the target language was the most effective method for learning L2. However, some research indicates that incorporating L1 into L2 sessions can also help to improve second language learning. The notion of L1 use is in the L2 classroom has also been associated with the notion of translanguaging in the bilingual or multilingual education. The goal of this study is to ascertain the attitudes and beliefs of teachers and students towards the use of first language in the second language classroom and to determine the extent to which such beliefs regarding the use of first language in the L2 classroom is related to one another to facilitate L2 learning. Participants in this study were 115 students (n=115) and 30 university English teachers (n = 30). A questionnaire was used to obtain the data, and descriptive statistics was employed. The study revealed that teachers and students are generally in favor of using L1 in L2 classrooms (bilingual instruction), depending on the context or goals. The L1 is used primarily to enhance L2 proficiency so that as the L2 proficiency progresses, monolingual approach can be implemented. This study partially supports the viability of a bilingual or co-taught method in the L2 classroom. HIGHLIGHTS: Teachers and students favor using a second language (bilingual approach) to facilitate learning inthe second classroom. For L2 learners to build their L2 skills, they need to be exposed to as much L2 input as possible.L2 learning and development heavily rely on the use of L1 to connect L1 and L2 information. Indonesian EFL classes can adopt the bilingual to monolingual EMI transition paradigm asreferring to students’ proficiency levels.

Abstract

This inquiry explores English foreign language (EFL) teacher beliefs in teach-abroad (TA) contexts under the umbrella of Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory (SCT) of mind. The previously available literature on teacher beliefs has relied mostly on quantitative survey research concerning belief as an inert variable; an internal representation of experience is resilient to evolve. Due to the prevalence of the theory of mind or cognitive orientation under the sociocultural theory, this case study aims to examine two TA EFL teachers’ belief changes in the new TA context and conceptualize the teachers’ beliefs from a sociocultural perspective. The participants involved EFL teachers (both pseudonyms): Ivan (male, aged 26) and Melanie (female, aged 24) attending different types of TA were recruited for this research. We collected the data through pre-and post-TA interviews and teaching journals with other triangulated methods like teaching autobiographies and recall experiences. The findings advocated that EFL teachers’ teaching beliefs continuously evolve according to their TA goals and experiences, and their belief changes involve a remediation process that leads to different teaching actions. Their internalized EFL teaching beliefs within meaningful environments influence the success of their TA teaching.
