Abstract

The massive shift in work patterns caused by the global pandemic has significantly accelerated the adoption of remote work schemes across various industries and organizations. This condition has created a strong need for data-driven studies to understand the factors that influence employee productivity in flexible work environments. This study aims to analyze the relationships among several key variables, namely employment type (in-office or remote), weekly working hours, and well-being score, in relation to individual productivity scores. The research data were obtained from a publicly available dataset on the Kaggle platform, containing 1,000 entries from respondents with diverse professional backgrounds. The analysis process involved data preprocessing, Pearson correlation analysis, and exploratory data visualization using heatmaps and scatter plots to facilitate result interpretation. The results show that remote work is positively correlated with productivity (r = 0.40), while weekly working hours exhibit a negative correlation (r = -0.25). Meanwhile, the well-being score demonstrates a weak but positive correlation with productivity (r = 0.14). The data visualizations support these numerical findings by presenting consistent patterns among the analyzed variables. These findings offer preliminary insights that are valuable for future studies related to remote work productivity. This study can serve as an initial reference for decision-makers in designing data-driven policies to optimize flexible work arrangements.

Abstract

The post-pandemic work environment in high-demand sectors like public utilities has intensified the focus on employee psychological well-being as a key performance driver. This study investigates the complex interplay between Work-Life Balance (WLB), Employee Engagement, and Organizational Commitment on Employee Performance, with Job Satisfaction as an intervening variable, at PT PLN UP3 West Surabaya. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a census of all 85 permanent employees and analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results confirm that WLB, Employee Engagement, and Organizational Commitment have a significant positive direct effect on both Job Satisfaction and Employee Performance. Furthermore, Job Satisfaction significantly mediates these relationships partially. The study concludes that cultivating these psychological factors is crucial for enhancing performance, offering a validated holistic model grounded in Positive Psychology Theory (PERMA) that provides actionable insights for human resource management in the utility sector

Abstract

Globally, halal tourism is viewed as a niche market with new needs and wants. This has motivated researchers to explore its prospects in Muslim-majority areas. Data were collected from 150 Muslim tourists using a judgment sampling approach. Existing scale instruments measured the social environment, facilities, and food as attributes of halal tourism and their effect on tourist satisfaction. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the relationships between the research variables. The results confirm that the social environment and food have a significant, but partial, effect on tourist satisfaction. Facilities do not have a significant effect on satisfaction. However, all attributes—social environment, facilities, and food—work together to significantly affect tourist satisfaction at tourist attractions in Batu City. The social environment is the dominant factor influencing tourist satisfaction at Batu City tourism sites.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of accountability, managerial competence, and integrity on employee performance effectiveness at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Mojokerto Regency, Indonesia. The research is motivated by BPKAD's strategic role in regional financial and asset governance, reflected by notable achievements such as receiving unqualified audit opinions (WTP) for ten consecutive years and the highest fiscal incentives in East Java. Despite these accomplishments, challenges remain in asset management and the implementation of information systems, indicating areas for improvement in employee performance. Using a non-experimental, correlational, and explanatory research design, data were collected via Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to all 51 BPKAD employees, employing a total sampling approach. Instrument validity was tested using Pearson's product-moment correlation, and reliability was assessed with Cronbach’s alpha. Classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression analyses were conducted using SPSS 26.0. Results show that accountability, managerial competence, and integrity significantly and simultaneously affect performance effectiveness. Individually, each variable also has a positive and significant effect. Among them, managerial competence has the most dominant influence. These findings highlight the critical role of enhancing managerial capabilities and ethical values to improve public sector performance, offering empirical support for organizational development initiatives within local government institutions.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of using AI-based virtual assistants in employee training and development. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected through an online survey of 150 respondents working in various companies in Gresik Regency. The study aims to evaluate employees' perceptions of AI-based virtual assistants, focusing on their effectiveness, ease of use, learning experience, motivation, and impact on skill enhancement and productivity. Descriptive analysis revealed positive perceptions across all measured aspects, with average Likert scale scores above 4.0, indicating strong acceptance of thistechnology. Pearson correlation analysis showed significant positive relationships among the variables, suggesting that a positive perception of one aspect correlates with positive perceptions of others. Multiple linear regression analysis identified "Learning Experience through Virtual Assistants" as the most significant predictor of employee performance improvement. These findings highlight the potential of AI in enhancing employee training and development programs, providing valuable insights for HR practitioners and policymakers in designing more effective training strategies.

Abstract

In the competitive global economy, optimizing human resource performance is crucial. Organizations frequently utilize job transfer and rotation policies to enhance adaptability and skills, yet their impact on employee performance remains inconsistent and warrants deeper investigation. This study aims to analyze the direct effects of job transfer and job rotation on employee performance, as well as their indirect effects through the intervening variable of job satisfaction at PT PLN UP3 Situbondo. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed, using a total sampling technique of 79 permanent employees. Data was collected via questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the SmartPLS application. The results indicate that both job transfer and job rotation have a significant positive direct effect on employee performance. Furthermore, both variables also positively influence job satisfaction, which in turn significantly enhances performance. Importantly, job satisfaction is proven to act as a partial mediating variable in the relationship between both HR practices and employee performance. These findings emphasize the critical role of strategic implementation of transfer and rotation, supported by measures to increase job satisfaction, for improving overall employee productivity

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using the GERAK PRO application on employee performance, with exercise enthusiasm as a mediating variable at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Mojokerto, Indonesia. The study involved 144 active employees who had used the application for at least three months. A quantitative explanatory approach was applied using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire to examine the direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The results show that the GERAK PRO application does not directly affect employee performance but significantly increases exercise enthusiasm, which positively improves performance. Exercise enthusiasm fully mediates the relationship between application usage and employee performance. These findings indicate that digital health applications improve performance mainly through behavioral changes, better fitness, and stronger intrinsic motivation. This study contributes to the human resource management literature by confirming the mediating role of exercise enthusiasm in connecting digital wellness applications with employee performance. However, the study is limited to one organizational unit and cross-sectional data, which may reduce the generalizability of its findings.

Abstract

In the face of global and national demands for effective public institutions, enhancing civil servant performance is critical. This study examines the influence of organizational commitment and job satisfaction on employee performance at Bappeda in Greater Malang, with religiosity as a moderating variable. This study employed an explanatory research design to test the hypotheses regarding the influence of organizational commitment and job satisfaction on employee performance, with religiosity as a moderating variable. The population consists of all civil servants (except heads) of BAPPEDA in Malang Raya, including: Malang Regency Government, Malang City Government, and Batu City Government, totaling 134 employees. The data were collected through a census rather than sampling because the population was relatively small and to avoid sampling risks. Primary data related to the research variables were collected through Google Forms, sent directly to respondents via WhatsApp. Using an explanatory research approach, the collected data were tested for validity, reliability, and classical assumptions, then analyzed using multiple linear regression moderation. The results of this study prove that: first, organizational commitment has a significant positive effect on employee performance; second, job satisfaction has a significant positive effect on employee performance; third, religiosity can significantly moderate the positive effect of organizational commitment on employee performance; and fourth, religiosity can significantly moderate the positive effect of job satisfaction on employee performance.
