Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan media pembelajaran digital berbasis articulate-storyline-3 pada pokok bahasan struktur atom yang selanjutnya disebut sebagai Media PERISA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan Media PERISA yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini, serta mendeskripsikan efektivitas Media PERISA terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap materi struktur atom. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Reaserch and Decelopment yang menggunakan model Four-D (4D) yang disarankan oleh Thiagarajan. Model 4-D memiliki empat langkah utama yaitu define, design, develop, serta desseminate. Namun dalam penelitian kali ini langkah yang dilakukan hanya sampai tahap develop saja. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 1 SMAN 12 Banjarmasin yang berjumlah 20 orang dan disebut kelompok A, dan siswa kelas X MIPA 1 dan X MIPA 2 SMAN 11 Banjarmasin yang berjumlah 47 orang disebut sebagai kelompok B. Instrumen penelitian ini antara lain angket kebutuhan siswa, soal pre-test dan post-test, angket kesesuaian isi, angket tampilan media, dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesesuaian isi pada rancangan awal media PERISA sebesar 82,9% yang kemudian dilakukan revisi berdasarkan saran ahli hingga isi dalam media PERISA telah benar-benar sesuai dengan KD dan tujuan pembelajaran. Hasil validasi kelayakan media PERISA menunjukkan kelayakan media sebesar 86,5% atau sangat layak digunakan tanpa revisi. Efektifitas media PERISA yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai n-gain-score adalah 0,536% atau termasuk dalam kategori keefektifan tinggi. Persentase respon peserta didik yang mencapai 82,052%.

Abstract

Seorang guru, apalagi yang memiliki pengalaman panjang dalam mengajar, tentu menghadapi beragam permasalahan dalam mentransfer materi pelajaran kepada para siswanya. Guru tersebut dituntut melakukan inovasi pembelajaran sehingga kemampuan para siswa dalam memahami materi yang diajarkan semakin meningkat. Guru yang mendapatkan tugas tambahan sebagai kepala sekolah bahkan menghadapi permasalahan yang lebih beragam, misalnya keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, rendahnya kompetensi guru, kenakalan siswa, komunikasi dengan orang tua atau wali siswa, hingga manajemen keuangan sekolah. Pengalaman-pengalaman baik (best practices) para guru dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut seringkali tidak terekspos, meski boleh jadi permasalahan serupa terjadi di sekolah lainnya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa bimbingan penulisan dan publikasi karya ilmiah untuk memberikan bekal kepada para guru dalam mengkomunikasikan pengalaman, ide-ide dan hasil penelitiannya dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan di sekolah. Bimbingan dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 3 Sampit dan diikuti oleh 30 orang guru di Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur. Materi bimbingan terdiri dari cara menemukan topik penelitian yang bernilai publikasi, struktur karya tulis ilmiah dan menemukan jurnal yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Peserta bimbingan menyatakan bahwa acara kegiatan tersebut telah meningkatkan pemahaman mereka seputar karya tulis dan publikasi ilmiah. Oleh karena itu, mereka menyarankan diadakan pelatihan lebih lanjut sehingga dapat menghasilkan karya tulis yang berkualitas.

Abstract

Central Kahayan State High School is located in Central Kahayan District, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan. The pandemic period resulted in several changes in the implementation of learning. One is that face-to-face learning activities must be carried out online, resulting in limited interaction between teachers and students. The allocation of cut learning time leads to a lack of time for learners to understand the concept of the material. These obstacles experienced result in a reduction in the quality of learning and a decrease in student motivation in the learning process. Based on the existing problems, the idea emerged as a solution by holding project-based learning design training through local resources. Through this training, it is hoped that teachers will have more knowledge and insight into designing innovative learning by utilizing local wisdom and potential. In general, the objectives of community service implemented are 1) increasing motivation to provide innovation in learning activities, 2) improving skills for teachers to design project-based learning activities, and 3) increasing the motivation and enthusiasm for learning of students

Abstract

This study aims to describe the suitability of learning objectives for the pretest and posttest questions, the syntax of the media development model, and chemistry learning materials for the learning syllabus. This study used qualitative meta-analysis research. The object of this research was taken from one thesis of the UNY chemistry education study program and two UPR thesis with the theme Development of android-based chemistry learning media. Data collection techniques in study used documentation techniques from learning objective documents, media development model syntax, learning materials, media expert and material expert assessment results sheets, pretest-posttest and learning outcomes. The results of the research show that media development model used by each thesis still has discrepancy with the theoretical syntax of the media development model. The purpose of learning with the application of the Bohr and Gall development model is discrepancy with the pretest-posttest. The learning objective of the thesis is to apply the DDD-E development model, a discrepancy in pretest-posttest with a N-gain of 0.43 (Medium). The learning objectives in application of the DDD-E development model were categorized according to the pretest-posttest questions with a N-gain of 0.71 (High), with the application of the media development model being categorized as appropriate.

Abstract

Media development is an effort to overcome students' difficulties in the learning process. The development of lectora inspire learning media tends to present macroscopic and symbolic aspects. Modification of the syntax of the development model found a lack of suitability of learning objectives for narrative representations in learning materials, and learning content for chemical representations which made media difficult to use. The purpose of this study is to analyze suitability; the syntax of the learning media development model on the theoretical development model syntax, learning objectives on teaching materials, and learning content on chemical representation criteria. This study applies a meta-analysis method with a qualitative approach. The results of the research show that the stage of defining the analysis of student characteristics has not been linked to the stage of constructing a criterion-referenced test (setting test standards). One learning objective was found in thesis A, and 3 learning objectives in thesis C which were categorized as partially appropriate, while the learning objectives in thesis B were all categorized as appropriate to the teaching material. Lectora inspire learning content still has a discrepancy with the chemical representation criteria. Lectora insipre learning media tend to contain the R1 (multiple), R2 (explicit), R3 (fully related and connected), R4 (narration according to representation) and R5 (quite connected ).

Abstract

MGMP Kimia merupakan musyawarah guru mata pelajaran kimia. Kelompok musyawarah ini memiliki peranan penting dalam mengembangkan dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan pendidikan terutama pada mata pelajaran kimia. Masa pandemi COVID-19 memaksa adanya perubahan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran serta terhentinya kegiatan rutin MGMP Kimia Kota Palangka Raya. Di sisi lain perubahan kurikulum memberikan amanat baru yang  membutuhkan perhatian dan persiapan. Dari berbagai alternatif solusi yang ditawarkan, terpilihlah gagasan kegiatan sosialisasi pembelajaran berbasis proyek melalui pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19 November 2022 yang diikuti oleh 17 peserta. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan para guru khususnya guru mata pelajaran kimia Kota Palangka Raya memiliki pengetahuan dan wawasan yang lebih mengenai pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Adapun tujuan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang telah dilaksanakan 1) meningkatkan motivasi guru untuk berinovasi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek; 2) meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam merancang kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek; dan 3) meningkatkan motivasi dan semangat belajar peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang telah dilaksanakan guru-guru mitra telah memahami pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan baik serta memberikan respon positif (sangat baik) terhadap pelakasanaan kegiatan pengabdian. Dengan demikian, kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan memberikan dampak positif bagi guru-guru dalam memahami penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Guru mampu mengelaborasi dan mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada mata pelajaran kimia serta berkolaborasi dengan mata pelajaran lainnya. MGMP Chemistry is the deliberation of the chemistry teacher. This deliberation group is important in developing and improving the quality of learning and education, especially in chemistry subjects. The COVID-19 pandemic forced changes in the implementation of learning and cessation of the routine activities of MGMP Chemistry in Palangka Raya City. On the other hand, curriculum changes provide new mandates that require attention and preparation. The idea of project-based learning dissemination activities was chosen using local resources from the various alternative solutions offered. The activity was held on November 19th 2022, and 17 participants attended. Through this activity, it is hoped that teachers, especially chemistry teachers in Palangka Raya City, will have more knowledge and insight regarding project-based learning. The PkM objectives that have been implemented 1) increase teacher motivation to innovate in project-based learning activities; 2) improve teacher skills in designing project-based learning activities; and 3) increase the motivation and enthusiasm for learning of students. Based on the evaluation results carried out by partner teachers have understood project-based learning well and provided a positive response (very good) to the implementation of service activities. Thus, the activities carried out positively impact teachers in understanding the application of project-based learning. Teachers can elaborate and develop project-based learning in chemistry subjects and collaborate with other subjects.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to describe the quality of the End of Semester Assessment (PAS) questions for chemistry subjects in class X odd semester of SMK throughout the city of Palangka Raya for the 2020/2021 Academic Year. This research included descriptive research, with researchon questions and student answer sheets at odd end-of-semester assessments. The data collection technique of this study is the documentation method. Data analysis techniques use the help of the SPSS version 26 program. The results showed that the results of the logical review analysis obtained a good level of conformity of questions with basic competencies with a percentage of 21.90%. The suitability of the questions reviewed from the material aspect with a percentage of 93.88%, from the construction aspect the percentage of conformity of the questions was 90.81%, from the aspect of language the suitability of the questions obtained a percentage of 100%. The quality of the PAS question qualitatively (empirical review) shows that: the results of the analysis of the validity of the items about the P-Value Index 0.34 criteria are sufficient (20%-60%), the results of the analysis of the average reliability of the questions are the Cron'bach alpha r11 value< 0.70, namely at a value of 0.494 with sufficient criteria, the results of the analysis of the differentiating power of the questions are accepted (19%), the questions are rejected (26%), the questions are corrected (35%), and the questions are good (20%). Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of the difficulty level of questions with easy criteria (15.83%), questions with medium criteria (40.08%), and questions with difficult criteria (42.92%) and the results of the analysis of extractivity of the distractor (deceiving) quality of the category questions were very good with an average percentage of 81.38%.

Abstract

The implementation of the discovery learning model is that students are able to construct their own knowledge that they must master through 6 (six) stages of learning discovery, namely: (i) stimulation; (ii) problem statements; (iii) data collection;(iv) data processing; (v) verification; (vi) generalization. In its application, students need a study guide to be able to carry out discovery learning activities independently to obtain new knowledge, this research aims to produce a Student Worksheet (LKS) as a learning guide in learning salt hydrolysis with a discovery learning model in class XI high school students. The development of LKS was carried out by adapting the 4-D development model (define, design, d evelop, disseminate) from Thiagarajan. The resulting LKS products are assessed for feasibility using professional judgement by involving chemists, pedagogists, and learning media experts. The revised LKS product based on expert input is then tested for readability by potential users. Furthermore, LKS is implemented on a limited basis in chemistry learning in schools to determine its effectiveness in guiding discovery learning activities and improving students' understanding of the concept of salt hydrolysis. The limited implementation trial was carried out using a pre-experimental design of the One-Shot Case Study model involving 69 high school students in Palangka Raya city. The results showed that the LKS developed was suitable for use with a feasibility value of 92.45%. The effectiveness of LKS in guiding students to carry out discovery learning activities is in the very good category with an average of 97.75% and LKS is effective in improving students' mastery of the concept of salt hydrolysis by obtaining an average N-Gain score of 0.89.
