Abstract

The learning process tends to position teachers as the center of learning or the only source of learning. This study is to improve the learning outcomes of grade 4 students through the implementation of the lesson study-based teams games tournament model. This type of research is qualitative with a case study. The subjects of the study were 17 students in grade 4 at elementary school 032 Tarakan based on purposive sampling of learning outcome data. Data collection instruments used observation sheets, interview sheets and documentation. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the learning outcomes of grade IV students after the implementation of the lesson study-based teams games tournament learning model. At the syntax stage of class presentation (plan), namely designing learning plans on theme 4 sharing work and theme 6 my ideals. Then at the syntax stage of learning in groups, games and matches (do) it was found that the results of the success indicators achieved were the percentage of cognitive aspect values through the student worksheets at the initial meeting of 46.66% and increased to 100% on the student worksheets at the next meeting. Abstract

Implementing an independent curriculum in Indonesia urges teachers to develop learning modules. However, conditions in elementary schools indicate that teachers still need to receive training related to teaching modules following the independent curriculum. Therefore, this study aims to develop a product in the form of a valid and effective STEM-based learning module and Pancasila Student Profile. The type of research is Research & Development (R&D) regarding the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) development model. The developed product was tested on fourth-grade students at one of the elementary school levels. The results of product quality materials are assessed from expert judgment, language, media, and practitioners. The learning module developed obtained an average score of 94.5%, categorized as very feasible. The results of student responsiveness to the learning module obtained an average of 85.5% with an exciting category. The learning module has succeeded in streamlining learning outcomes and student character formation. The implementation of the learning module successfully reflects the character formation of the Pancasila Student Profile in critical reasoning, independence, and cooperation. Thus, in elementary schools, learning is needed that is oriented to the STEM model and efforts in forming the character of the Pancasila Student Profile so that the compiled modules are considered to be used in the learning of fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of online gaming intensity on the social skills of fourth-grade students at SD Inpres Tonggorisa, a public elementary school in a semi-urban area characterized by limited digital literacy. Employing a quantitative approach with a correlational design, data were collected from 30 students using a structured questionnaire that measured the frequency of online gaming and social skills indicators based on the Social Skills Rating System (SSRS). The results of linear regression analysis revealed a significant negative relationship between the two variables. Students with higher gaming intensity demonstrated lower levels of cooperation, self-control, and communication. These findings support Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development and highlight the urgent need for collaboration between schools and families to foster adaptive digital literacy. The study contributes to the limited body of research on digital behavior in non-urban settings and underscores the importance of implementing context-based character education strategies in the digital era.

Abstract

Diagnostic assessment is a crucial tool for gathering initial information about students’ learning needs, particularly for targeted instructional planning. Elementary school teachers require accurate data regarding students’ learning profiles and interests in Indonesian language learning, especially in early reading skills. This study aims to describe the learning profiles and interests of first-grade elementary students in Indonesian language learning. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving 56 student participants. Data were collected through diagnostic assessments consisting of early reading skill tests, interview sheets, and observations. Data collection techniques included testing, observation, and interviews. The findings reveal that in early reading skills, students made 68 errors in reading letters, 96 errors in reading syllables, and 287 errors in reading words. In terms of learning interest, 89% of students expressed enjoyment in reading, although 51% still struggled with maintaining a consistent reading routine. The study concludes that first-grade students have diverse learning profiles and interests in Indonesian language learning. The implications suggest that the information gathered from this diagnostic assessment can be utilized by teachers to design more effective, adaptive, and individually responsive instruction.
