Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh perbandingan susu sapi dengan susu jagung manis dengan penambahan ekstrak kulit buah naga terhadap mutu es krim dan mengetahui berapa perbandingan susu sapi dengan susu jagung manis untuk menghasilkan es krim yang memenuhi syarat SNI. Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima taraf perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Uji ANOVA dan uji lanjut DNMRT pada taraf nyata 1% digunakan untuk menganalis data hasil pengamatan. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini adalah perbandingan susu sapi dan susu jagung manis (A=100:0, B=75:25, C=50:50, D=25:75, E=0:100). Dari hasil penelitian, perbandingan penambahan susu sapi dan susu jagung manis berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap kadar protein, kadar lemak, kadar serat kasar, total padatan, overrun, dan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap waktu leleh. Berdasarkan pemenuhan syarat mutu es krim SNI-01-3713-1995, sampel es krim dengan perbandingan susu sapi dan susu jagung manis pada perlakuan C sampai E memenuhi syarat, dengan kadar protein di atas 2,7% (25,69-34,86%), kadar lemak di atas 5% (9,86-14,35%), total padatan di atas 34% (38,01-47,05%), nilai overrun berada dalam skala rumah tangga 30-50% (43,21-50,04%).

Abstract

This research aims to determine a method for estimating evapotranspiration (ET) using radiation-based methods to obtain evapotranspiration results that are close to the Penman Monteith (PM) method for the Cupak Tangah Village area, Pauh District, Padang City. This research was conducted using the Caprio, Droogers and Allen, Berti and McGuinness and Bordne methods as a comparison method to the PM method. The parameters used are weather parameters such as solar radiation, temperature, humidity, wind speed, barometric pressure and others. Based on the analysis carried out, it was found that the empirical method that approaches the Penman Monteith evapotranspiration value is the McGuinness and Bordne method with the regression equation y = 0.8601x and R2 = 0.9864. In order, the methods for estimating evapotranspiration from those that are close to those that are not close to the PM results are the McGuinness and Bordne, Caprio, Droogers and Allen, and Berti methods.

Abstract

Nagari Kudu Gantiang, Kecamatan V Koto Timur, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman memiliki potensi lahan untuk pengembangan produksi pangan. Pada tahun 2025, pemerintahan nagari menginisiasi program budidaya jagung sebagai strategi meningkatkan ketahanan pangan sekaligus mendorong pemanfaatan lahan tidur oleh masyarakat. Kedepannya pemerintahan nagari akan mengalokasikan 10% dana desa untuk menunjang keberlanjutan program ketahanan pangan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat oleh universitas bersama nagari dengan penyediaan lahan demplot percobaan. Kegiatan utama meliputi sosialisasi dan pelatihan teknis mulai dari pemilihan benih unggul, pengolahan tanah, penanaman, pemupukan, hingga pengendalian hama penyakit dan panen. Penerapan alat dan mesin pertanian (alsintan) serta penggunaan pupuk yang berkelanjutan diharapkan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas jagung. Melalui program ini, kampus bersama nagari saling berkontribusi dan berupaya memberdayakan petani, mengoptimalkan lahan potensial, serta memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap peningkatan ketahanan pangan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

Kekeringan merupakan peristiwa alam yang menyebabkan berkurangnya ketersediaan air pada suatu wilayah dalam kurun waktu tertentu. Tanaman yang tidak mendapat cukup air akan menghambat pertumbuhan tanaman hingga menimbulkan gagal panen. Salah satu indeks yang dapat menunjukkan tingkat kekeringan dengan memanfaatkan data penginderaan jauh adalah TVDI (Temperature Vegetation Dryness Indeks). TVDI merupakan teknik untuk menghitung indeks kekeringan menggunakan data penginderaan jauh dan pantulan spektral. Indeks TVDI memanfaatkan hubungan antara nilai NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Indeks) dengan LST (Land Surface Temperature). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat kekeringan lahan di Kecamatan Rambatan, Kabupaten Tanah Datar tahun 2020-2024 berdasarkan perubahan nilai NDVI dan LST. Nilai TVDI tertinggi penggunaan lahan terdapat pada sawah dengan nilai 0,54. Sebaran kekeringan dengan kategori kering terbanyak terjadi pada tahun 2022 dengan luasan 254,51 Ha; kategori agak kering 2273,91 Ha; kategori normal 4426,78 Ha; kategori agak basah 2309,77 Ha; kategori basah 221,20 Ha dengan nilai indeks TVDI 0,49.

Abstract

This outreach activity aims to enhance the capacity and economic self-reliance of women’s groups through vegetable-based product diversification innovations in Nagari Aia Tajun, Lubuk Alung Subdistrict, Padang Pariaman Regency. The method employed was a participatory approach involving the administration of a pre-test questionnaire, educational sessions, hands-on training, and an evaluation using a post-test. The innovative product developed is a vegetable-based healthy beverage in the form of water spinach smoothies as a way to utilize local potential. The results of the activity show a significant improvement in the participants’ knowledge, skills, and entrepreneurial attitudes, with the average score increasing from 2.1 to 4.26 and an N-Gain value of 0.74 (high category). Additionally, this activity successfully boosted participants’ interest and self-confidence in developing businesses based on processed vegetable products. Thus, this program not only contributes to increasing the value-added of agricultural commodities but also supports the strengthening of community economies and local food security through women’s empowerment.

Abstract

The primary goal of this study was to investigate the biosorption performance of biochar derived from exhausted kahwa coffee (EKC) on removing heavy metal ion, Cd²⁺ in the solution. The operational parameters, for instance pH, dosage and contact time, were varied in a certain range and the efficiency and the capacity of removal were determined. The pH was in a range of 5 – 11, while the biochar dosage in a range of 0.075 – 0.15 g and the contact time was in between 30 – 180 minutes. The batch biosorption test showed that the EKC biochar had higher removal performance in alkaline condition, with a proposed pH of 10. Meanwhile, the applied dosage showed that addition of 0.1 g EKC biochar was more effective than adding more dosage. Furthermore, the batch experiments showed that 60 minutes of biosorption process resulted in more effective removal compared to the longer biosorption time. According to the ANOVA analysis on the three conditions, it was shown that the pH and contact time had significant effects on the removal performance of EKC biochar on cadmium ion in the solution.  Keywords: Biochar, biosorption, Exhausted kahwa coffee, Heavy metal ion, Operational parameters.
