Abstract

The article is aimed to inform that self-assessment optimization through WhatsApp features can Increase the students’ listening comprehension. The action research is used to gain the data. It consists of 4 steps, like planning, acting, developing, and reflecting stage. It conducted for two cycles. The informants of this research come from fourth semester of English Education Program at STAIN Mandailing Natal. The instruments of collecting the data are an interview guide, online questionnaire, Listening script, and field note. Qualitative and quantitative data were analyzed in this analysis. Qualitative data would be collected by observation, interviewing, and surveying. The listening examination will collect quantitative evidence. It will be evaluated using a listening comprehension score calculation. The result of the research showed the increasing on students’ listening comprehension through self-assessment optimization, it can be seen from the students’ scoring in each meeting.

Abstract

Pelatihan yang dilakukan di iringi oleh Ustadz yang ada di jorong muara tapus, tujuan dari Tajhizul mayit ini tidak lain 1).memberikan bekal berupa ilmu tentang Tajhizul mayit ini agar dapat mengimplementasikan tentang pelatihan ini kepada pemuda pemudi serta Ninik mamak jorong muara tapus, 2) membekali pemuda pemudi jorong muara tapus tentang Tajhizul mayit. Adapun manfaat pelatihan yang di adakan oleh anak KKN STAIN Mandailing Natal. Pertama, meningkatkan keterampilan pemuda pemudi serta Ninik mamak dalam mengurus jenazah yang baik dan benar sesuai dengan arahan dari syariat Islam. Kedua, menambah tenanga yang terampil dalam mengurus jenazah,karena tidak hanya satu dan dua saja yang mampu,melainkan semua yang hadir sudah paham tentang Tajahizul mayit. Ketiga, menjadikan pemuda pemudi yang siap pakai dalam hal mengurus jenazah,disini tidak hanya yang tua saja yang dapat membantu.

Abstract

Kreativitas manusia semakin meningkat dan mendorong penemuan-penemuan di bidang teknologi. Salah satu produk kreativitas manusia tersebut adalah internet. Kemajuan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi tersebut mengakibatkan terjadinya revolusi interaksi sosial.Internet digambarkan sebagai kumpulan jaringan komputer yang terdiri dari sejumlah jaringan yang lebih kecil yang mempunyai sistem jaringan yang berbeda.Kecanggihan teknologi informasi membuat judi online semakin berkembang. Hal ini juga menimbulkan maraknya promosi dan iklan judi online. Judi adalah perbuatan tindak pidana yang mempertaruhkan sejumlah uang dimana pihak pemenang akan mendapatkan seluruh uang yang menjadi bahan taruhan. Judi dapat merugikan masyarakat dan merusak moral bangsa. Perilaku berjudi bersifat berkelanjutan sehingga menimbulkan rasa penasaran meski telah kalah berkali-kali, permainan judi online yang dilakukan oleh remaja merupakan hasil dari adanya interaksi sosial yang terjadi di lingkungan sekitar mereka.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the emergence of the latest curriculum, namely the independent curriculum, where SMPN 3 Panyabungan has implemented the independent curriculum. Of course, implementing independent curriculum learning cannot be separated from the role of a teacher. The role of the teacher here is very important considering that this curriculum is still new and teachers need to study and study this independent curriculum in more depth so that the learning process can run smoothly and learning objectives can be achieved. The problem that arises is the role and obstacles of PAI-BP teachers in implementing independent curriculum learning at SMPN 3 Panyabungan. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data sources for this research consist of two, namely primary data: PAI-BP teachers, and secondary data from school principals, students and other supporting documents. Data collection was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The data validity technique in this research uses triangulation of sources and techniques. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the role of PAI-BP teachers in implementing independent curriculum learning, starting from the role of PAI-BP teachers as educators and instructors, as community members, as leaders, as administrators and as learning managers, has been implemented quite well.  However, there are several obstacles experienced by PAI-BP teachers in implementing independent curriculum learning so that it has not been implemented optimally, such as a lack of teacher proficiency in using IT, inadequate infrastructure in the form of media that can support the smooth learning process, and students who are unable to adapt the concepts. Independent curriculum learning, as well as limited teacher time in carrying out assessments considering that PAI-BP subjects only take 2 hours per week.

Abstract

This article explores the collaboration between KIP PAI scholarship students and lecturers at STAIN Mandailing Natal in improving study program accreditation and quality. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this study highlights various forms of collaboration such as involvement in research, community service, and academic publishing. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, analyzed by data reduction, classification, and verification. The findings show that structured collaboration contributes significantly to institutional performance indicators and academic competencies. Barriers include lack of communication space and time constraints. The study concludes that student-lecturer collaboration is a strategic asset for academic development.

Abstract

This article discusses strategies for developing language skills in early childhood through enjoyable writing activities that are appropriate for their developmental stages. The main aim of this research is to determine how activities such as writing in sand, recognizing letters, and forming simple words and syllables can effectively enhance children's fine motor skills and language literacy. By involving active participation from parents and educators, as well as employing a holistic and sustainable approach, it is expected that children will develop their communication, social, and cognitive abilities optimally. The study's results indicate that early verbal stimulation and writing activities are crucial in supporting language growth and preparing children for subsequent educational levels, thereby strengthening their literacy foundation and overall social-emotional development.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education has a crucial role in forming the basis for religious tolerance amidst the diversity of society. This article explores how Islamic religious education not only conveys its own basic teachings, but also how to appreciate and respect other beliefs. By examining the history and basic principles of Islam which emphasize tolerance and peace, this article provides insight into how these teachings are reflected in the Islamic education curriculum. Through curriculum analysis and teaching methodology, this article reveals how the concept of tolerance is integrated in Islamic education, providing concrete examples of educational institutions that have successfully implemented this approach. Apart from that, this article also discusses the challenges faced in implementing tolerance education and potential solutions to overcome them. Emphasis is placed on the importance of educating the younger generation with a broad and inclusive understanding of religious tolerance as the key to creating a harmonious society. Through this approach, Islamic religious education can be an effective tool for overcoming prejudice and promoting understanding between religious.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of play-based activities using picture storybooks on the development of language skills in early childhood at TK Dharma Wanita, Kotanopan, Kotanopan District. Language skills are a crucial aspect of early childhood development, directly linked to communication abilities, message comprehension, and verbal or non-verbal expression. Playing with picture storybooks is a fun and effective approach to stimulate children's language abilities by combining visual elements, imagination, and verbal interaction. This research employed a quantitative method using a quasi-experimental design, involving an experimental group and a control group. The findings reveal that children engaged in picture storybook play activities showed a significant improvement in speaking, listening, vocabulary, and story comprehension compared to those who did not receive the same treatment. These results suggest that integrating picture storybooks into play activities is an effective strategy for enhancing early childhood language skills

Abstract

This study aims to develop early childhood language skills through the folktale Si Kancil dan Buaya (The Clever Mouse Deer and the Crocodile). The folktale was chosen as a learning medium due to its educational, imaginative, and engaging values for children. The research was conducted at an early childhood education institution in Panyabungan using a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects were group B children aged 5–6 years. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results revealed that storytelling using Si Kancil dan Buaya significantly improved children's language abilities, particularly in vocabulary development, story comprehension, retelling skills, and speaking confidence. The folktale served as an effective stimulus in fostering children's interest in language, stimulating imagination, and reinforcing social-emotional skills through the moral messages conveyed. Thus, the story of Si Kancil dan Buaya proves to be a relevant and effective medium for developing language skills in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of visual media usage in the language development of early childhood at an early childhood education institution in Panyabungan Kota. Visual media such as pictures, posters, flashcards, and educational videos serve as essential tools to stimulate children's language abilities, particularly in vocabulary acquisition, meaning comprehension, and speaking skills. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The subjects were group B children selected purposively from a PAUD (early childhood education center). The research instrument consisted of language development observation sheets used before and after treatment. The results revealed a significant improvement in children's language abilities after the use of visual media in learning activities. Visual media effectively enhanced children's attention, interest, and understanding of the language material delivered. The study concludes that the use of visual media has a positive impact on the language development of early childhood and is recommended as an effective teaching strategy.
