Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between learning styles and student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMP Negeri 2 Kotanopan. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The research sample was 30 grade VII students who were randomly selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire to measure students' learning styles and an Islamic Religious Education learning outcome test. Based on the results of data analysis, a correlation coefficient of 0.791 was obtained, indicating a positive and significant relationship between learning styles and learning outcomes. This means that the better the student's learning style, the higher the learning outcomes obtained in the Islamic Religious Education subjec. This study suggests that teachers better understand and pay attention to differences in student learning styles and apply appropriate learning methods so that learning outcomes can be improved. Students are also advised to recognize their respective learning styles so that they can optimize their learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the effect of the intensity of use of digital Al-Qur'an applications on the ability to read the Al-Qur'an of ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Manyabar. The study used a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto method, namely looking at the relationship between the intensity of use of digital Al-Qur'an applications (independent variable) and the score of the ability to read the Al-Qur'an (dependent variable) without direct treatment manipulation of the respondents. The sample was taken by purposive sampling from 80 ninth-grade students who actively use the Al-Qur'an application in daily learning. The research instruments were a questionnaire on the intensity of use of the application and a test of the ability to read the Al-Qur'an assessed by two competent assessors. Data were analyzed by simple linear regression using SPSS software. The results showed a positive and significant effect between the intensity of use of digital Al-Qur'an applications on students' ability to read the Al-Qur'an (p < 0.05), so that the intensity of use of digital Al-Qur'an applications contributes to improving the ability to read the Al-Qur'an. This finding is in line with various previous studies showing that digital Al-Qur'an applications can improve skills and motivation to read the holy book among school and university students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of reward giving on student learning outcomes in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak in class X MAN 1 Mandailing Natal. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design, where the experimental group was given reward intervention in the form of praise, awards, or bonus marks, while the control group underwent learning as usual. The research instrument consisted of a test of Aqidah Akhlak learning outcomes and documentation of reward giving. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups; students who received rewards achieved higher learning outcomes than the control group. This finding indicates that reward giving has the potential to improve learning outcomes in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak. It is concluded that teachers and madrasas should consider a reward giving system as part of a learning strategy to strengthen student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of gaming activities on adolescent discipline in Torbanuaraja Village through a literature review and contextual analysis. The study focuses on how the intensity of gaming, the type of gaming, and patterns of family and school supervision can contribute to changes in adolescent discipline attitudes, such as tardiness, non-compliance with rules, and decreased academic responsibility. The study incorporates findings from Indonesian studies on gaming addiction, its impact on academic achievement, and changes in social behavior as the basis for the analysis. The analysis shows that without regulation and supervision, the tendency to play games excessively is associated with decreased academic discipline and daily routines in adolescents; conversely, time management and educational interventions can mitigate these negative impacts. This article recommends collaborative strategies between parents, teachers, and community leaders in Torbanuaraja Village to establish healthy gaming patterns and improve adolescent discipline. The conclusion emphasizes the need for local policies and digital literacy programs that are responsive to the village's socio-cultural conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of peer interaction on students' moral behavior at SMP Negeri 1 Panyabungan Mandailing Natal. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive correlational approach. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews with 60 eighth-grade students. The results show that peer interaction has a significant influence on students’ moral formation, including discipline, responsibility, and respectfulness. Positive friendships contribute to better morals, while negative peer interactions tend to decrease moral quality. Therefore, peer relationships are essential factors in shaping students’ moral and character development at school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of Android-based interactive learning media on Islamic Religious Education learning motivation in students at MTs Negeri 4 Mandailing Natal. The research method used is a pretest-posttest group design with a sampling system using cluster random sampling. The research subjects consisted of 3 classes, namely class 7a, 8d as experiments and 9b as controls. What was done in the two sample classes can be distinguished by the way the Android-based interactive learning media was used in the experimental class, while the control class was not. The instrument used was an explanatory test instrument. The results of the study showed that the t-test on learning outcomes obtained t count = 1.87 is greater than t table = 1.67 which is supported by the N-gain value of the experimental class of 0.74 compared to the control class. In addition, the results of the study the use of Android-based interactive learning media has an influence of 74.50% on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which gadget use affects the quality of worship among university students and adolescents in Indonesia. The habit of intensive gadget use changes the way individuals carry out daily activities, including worship. The method used was quantitative, with a questionnaire distributed to Muslim students in Indonesian universities and adolescents in several educational communities. The results of the statistical analysis showed a variation in gadget use from low to high, while the quality of worship, both in terms of time discipline and devotion, showed significant differences between groups that used gadgets wisely and those that did not. Several quantitative indicators such as frequency of timely worship, level of concentration in worship, and frequency of interruptions during worship were analyzed using linear regression. The research findings indicate that gadget use contributes to the quality of worship, but is also influenced by other factors such as religious motivation and spiritual self-control. Based on these results, it can be concluded that gadget use has a complex influence on the quality of worship. Uncontrolled use tends to decrease the quality of worship, while use integrated with prayer reminders and religious materials can have a positive effect on worship practices. These findings have important implications for education, families, and religious communities in guiding young people to be able to use technology wisely in the context of religious life.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of community participation in Nuzulul Qur'an competitions on the learning motivation of Islamic Religious Education in Lumban Dolok Village. Nuzulul Qur'an commemoration is an important momentum for Muslims to remember the revelation of the Qur'an and strengthen religious values through various competitions such as tahfidz, Al-Barzanji, funeral prayer, and adhan. This research uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory method involving 45 community members who participate in the competitions. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple regression analysis. The results showed that community participation in Nuzulul Qur'an competitions had a significant positive effect on Islamic Religious Education learning motivation with a regression coefficient of 0.687 and significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05). The R Square value of 0.472 indicates that community participation explains 47.2% of the variation in learning motivation. This research provides theoretical contributions regarding the relationship between community-based religious activities and religious learning motivation, as well as practical implications for improving the quality of religious activities in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Islamic digital media use on the learning motivation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) students at SDN 293 Aek Manyuruk. The development of digital technology in education provides both opportunities and challenges in shaping students’ learning behavior and spiritual awareness. This research applies a quantitative descriptive method with survey techniques, distributing questionnaires to students and interviewing PAI teachers to strengthen the data. The findings show that Islamic digital media such as learning applications, Islamic YouTube channels, online Qur’an platforms, and interactive games significantly influence students’ motivation in learning PAI. Students who actively use Islamic digital media tend to show greater enthusiasm, concentration, and consistency in studying religious materials. The results of the correlation analysis indicate a strong positive relationship between the use of Islamic digital media and students’ learning motivation, with an r-value of 0.68. This study concludes that integrating Islamic digital media in PAI lessons can create an engaging and spiritual learning atmosphere that increases students’ motivation and religious understanding. Teachers are advised to guide students in using digital media responsibly to ensure it supports, rather than distracts, their learning process.
