Abstract

WHO said that adolescence is a period of rapid physical, cognitive, and psychosocial growth [2]. The physical growth of this teenager is marked by menstruation as the beginning of entering the puberty process [3]. Menstruation is regular bleeding from the uterus as a sign that the uterine organs are functioning properly. At this time the uterine blood vessels are very susceptible to infection and can cause diseases of the reproductive tract, urinary tract infections, and skin irritation, therefore cleanliness must be maintained [1,3]. Based on the results of research in 2019 at SMPN 3 Kuripan it was found that the level of knowledge of most of the VII and VIII grade students about personal hygiene during menstruation was still lacking [6]. Partners already have a UKS unit, but the students have never received information about personal hygiene during menstruation either from the local health service agency or the school. Based on the problems above, community service "Self-hygiene counseling during menstruation for students of SMPN 3 Kuripan" was carried out. This community service partner is the Principal of SMPN 3 Kuripan along with the student body and UKS officers. The distance between STIKes Yarsi Mataram and SMPN 3 Kuripan is 18.5 km. This community service uses the counseling method. Counseling begins with a pre-test and ends with a post-test. The measurement of students' knowledge level was done using a questionnaire. The counseling was carried out using a question and answer lecture method. Counseling on personal hygiene during menstruation to students of SMPN 3 Kuripan was able to increase students' knowledge about menstruation and personal hygiene during menstruation from 78% with sufficient knowledge to 60.3% with good knowledge. It is hoped that schools will continue to collaborate with health education institutions or health service agencies in an effort to apply personal hygiene behavior during menstruation at SMPN 3 Kuripan. Abstract

The quality of the nation's next generation is largely determined by young women who act as prospective mothers. Data from the Riskesdas report for the NTB province in 2018 reported that the city of Mataram had the second most thin women aged >18 years (14.02%) after North Lombok district, which was 15.99%. An initial survey conducted on 20 female students by accident at STIKes Yarsi Mataram in February 2021 found 30% of female students had Lila <23.5 cm and deliberately limited eating because they did not want to look fat. This situation shows that not all female students at STIKes Yarsi Mataram have good nutritional status and awareness of their nutritional needs. Based on the problems above, community service "Education on the nutritional needs of young women" was carried out. This community service partner is the Chair of STIKes Yarsi Mataram and the Head of the Midwifery Study Program for the Undergraduate Program. This community service uses the counseling method. Education begins with a pre-test and ends with a post-test. The measurement of female students' knowledge level was carried out using a questionnaire. Education is carried out using the question and answer lecture method. Education of the nutritional needs of adolescent girls at STIKes Yarsi Mataram female students was able to increase female students' knowledge about the understanding and principles of balanced nutrition guidelines and the recommended amount of energy and protein adequacy portions from 76.7% with sufficient knowledge to 76.7% with good knowledge. It is expected that female students can update information related to energy and protein needs in adolescent girls and apply a diet in accordance with the recommended amount of energy and protein adequacy that has been understood.

Abstract

Diarrhea is still the second leading cause of death in children under five years old. Less than 80% of diarrhea-related deaths occur in the first 2 years of life. In Indonesia, the morbidity and mortality rates are still high. Recurrent diarrhea in children can cause nutritional deficiencies, dehydration and cause death. The high incidence of diarrhea in children is caused by many factors, including poor sanitation, poor hygiene facilities, poor personal hygiene, such as not washing hands before, after eating and after defecating. Diarrhea in toddlers occurs because of the problem of lack of family knowledge and lack of health or cultural information. Hand washing and proper feeding is one of the efforts to prevent and risk the transmission of diarrheal diseases. The community service program carried out aims to increase public knowledge and understanding about diarrhea and its prevention efforts through hand washing. Knowledge about the prevention and management of diarrhea is important for parents to control the incidence of diarrhea in children. The method of implementation is through outreach activities to the community, especially mothers of children under five about diarrheal disease and some of its prevention efforts. Health promotion is one way to increase knowledge to prevent diarrhea and to help prevent diarrhea from causing complications or death. This activity involves mothers who have toddlers in the Dasan Kolo neighborhood. With 30 participants. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in participants' knowledge about how to prevent diarrhea in toddlers.

Abstract

Pregnant women experience physical and psychological changes that can cause discomfort. Physical changes experienced by pregnant women include changes in blood volume, abdominal enlargement, breast enlargement, skin changes to become darker, changes in the respiratory tract so that the mother feels short of breath, hormonal changes and the digestive tract that cause nausea and vomiting and constipation. Efforts that can be made are to provide health education on preventing or treating back pain in pregnant women, one of which is pregnancy gymnastics, including transverse exercises, pelvic floor exercises, and general stretching. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide an understanding to pregnant women about the changes that occur, so that pregnant women do not experience unexpected problems. This community service activity was carried out at the Labuapi Health Center, which was attended by 26 people. The results of this community service were an increase in mothers' knowledge about physical changes by 90%, thereby reducing the occurrence of unexpected problems. Conclusion With knowledge about physical changes, pregnant women can take steps to control or minimize their negative impacts. Counseling can help pregnant women overcome physical discomfort that often occurs, such as back pain or leg cramps, by using various relaxation techniques or pregnancy gymnastics. By understanding the various physical changes, pregnant women can prepare themselves mentally and physically for the labor process, including knowing the signs of labor and how to deal with pain during labor.

Abstract

Inkes Yarsi Mataram is one of the private health universities in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province that attracts teenagers from both inside and outside Lombok island. Adolescents who are away from parental supervision are more likely to have risky dating behaviour than students who live with their parents. From the results of research conducted in March 2024 on Inkes Yarsi Mataram students, it showed concerns about negative dating behaviour. Based on these problems, community service activities are needed in the form of counseling which includes pretesting adolescents' knowledge and attitudes, providing education through counseling and discussion about toxic relationships in adolescents conducted for two meetings, and ending with a post-test evaluation. After the counselling was carried out during April-May 2025, it was found that there was an increase in students' knowledge and attitudes after being given counselling on toxic teenage relationships. There needs to be a continuation of service by strengthening Islamic material as a form of implementation of Inkes Yarsi Mataram's goal of producing health workers who are morally good.
