Abstract

The application of machine monitoring systems is currently increasingly needed, one of which is on generators. Generator sets are one of the important elements in providing energy needed in company operations. However, to ensure optimal performance and prevent unexpected engine damage, careful monitoring of the generator set's operational conditions is required, especially of key variables such as temperature, rotation speed, and engine vibration. The purpose of this study is to identify the condition of the generator set using three parameters. In this research, adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is used as a tool to model the relationship between inputs (temperature, speed, and vibration) and outputs (engine condition). The dataset for normal conditions amounted to 25 data and for abnormal conditions amounted to 25 data. From this data, an RMSE of 0.000032 was obtained in the 3-3-5 membership function structure with a trapezoidal type membership function. And at the stage of applying fuzzy to the Omron PLC, the RMSE is 0. Simulations are carried out to test the effectiveness of ANFIS in predicting machine conditions based on monitored parameters.

Abstract

Every 5 years a cargo ship makes 2 repairs to the shipyard. As a shipyard must provide the best service in the service process and improvement results to achieve customer satisfaction. In order to achieve these goals, the basic thing that can be done is to make a plan. The method used is the Critical Path Method (CPM), using the CPM method is still not optimal because there are problems and obstacles related to human behavior. Examples of these problems are student's syndrome, multitasking and overestimated activity durations. According to these problems, namely Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) as an alternative project scheduling solution. Based on the analysis results, the scheduling of the CCPM method produces a duration of 2 days faster than the CPM method.

Abstract

Surabaya State Shipbuilding Polytechnic is a polytechnic engaged in shipping. The status of PPNS which was originally a Work Unit (Satker) changed to a Public Service Agency (BLU). The recording of PPNS into BLU aims to improve services to the community. In this case, some facilities at PPNS can be used or rented by the general public, one of which is Graha Dewaruci. At this time, the determination of the rental rate has not been calculated properly, so an accurate rate calculation is needed by considering and paying attention to other variable indicators to produce an appropriate rate. To calculate the rental rate in this study, using the Cost Plus Pricing method of the Full Costing approach and the policies related to this calculation are decided by the PPNS asset manager who is an educational institution under the auspices of the government, so in the process of calculating the rental rate, it still uses the policies stipulated in government regulations to produce the Graha Dewaruci Building rental rate of IDR 16,320,000.

Abstract

In project development, time and cost are very important factors, because the project can run according to plan. One of the reasons for conducting research on the crew boat construction project at one of the shipyards located in East Java. With a contract value of Rp57,203,300,000 and an agreed time of 250 days. But in the field there was a delay of 22 days, to overcome the delay an analysis was carried out using the Time Cost Trade Off method, and the application of crashing. By using the alternative of adding 3 hours of work (overtime) and alternative shifts. The results of this study show that applying the alternative of 3 working hours results in an optimum cost of Rp57,384,361,320 with an optimum time of 241 days. Meanwhile, the alternative of adding shifts resulted in an optimum cost of Rp59,051,420,070. with an optimum time of 205 days.

Abstract

Ship transportation is the main support for the process of crossing between lands by water. One of the shipconstructions being carried out by PT. EMPAT SEKAWAN MARINE, namely the FRP work boat, wherethere was a delay in its completion, the project was planned to be completed in 30 days, but the company carried out the work to be completed within 37 days. The purpose of this study is to determine the durationand critical path in the network, and the probability of project completion. The method used is PERT. Theresearch results were obtained from the PERT method, namely the critical path in the network is found in the activities of the ship's hull (body), electrical systems, machining and steering systems, and safety equipment. The duration obtained from the PERT method is 34 days. The probability obtained at the client'srequest within a duration of 30 days, produces a probability value of 3.6% the possibility that the project can be completed on time and 96.4% the possibility that the project will be delayed. Calculation of the duration with the PERT method produces 34 days with a probability value of 50% the probability that the project can be completed and 50% the project will be postponed. Meanwhile, the company's work with a duration of 37 days produces a probability value of 90.9% probability that it can be completed and 9.1% possibility of project completion experiencing setbacks.

Abstract

One of the shipyards in Madura is currently executing the tug boat Transko Gagak repair project. This project has experienced an 11-day delay due to several obstacles, including a leakage issue with the floating dock pump, resulting in a failed docking attempt, as well as delays in the procurement process. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of the ship repair project in terms of cost and time. The methods employed for analyzing thisproject's performance are Earned Value Analysis (EVA). The analysis results on the 22nd day indicate that the project's schedule performance is 0.59 (SPI < 1), indicating a delay of 38.93% from the initial planned project completion of 100%, with actual completion of 61.07% of the work. In terms of cost performance, the value is 1.47 (CPI > 1), signifying thatthe expenditures have been lower than the initial budget plan. This reduction is due to the elimination of certain work items during the project execution.

Abstract

Port operations using conventional RTG (Rubber Tyred Gantry) results in an increased operational cost burden as maintenance costs and diesel fuel prices continue to increase every year. Therefore, a power source change was made by using electrical energy through container loading and unloading equipment installation work. However, the implementation of implementation of the work raises various possibilities and risk impacts that need to be anticipated. One of them is the risk that can hinder the smooth work and cause significant delays. This research aims to determine the potential risks of work that may occur. The analysis uses the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. The results show that there are 20 potential risks with 6 of them being prioritized risks.

Abstract

The productivity of container loading and unloading at the dock is influenced by the utilization of time, including both idle time and not operation time. The productivity of a dock is also a benchmark for determining the success of loading and unloading activities. High idle time and not operation time have disrupted the productive activities of the dock. The high ineffective time results in many ships having to dock longer than planned. This study aims to analyze the impact of idle time and not operation time on loading and unloading productivity (BSH), specifically at the international dock of a stevedoring company in Surabaya. This research uses a quantitative method with data from December 2023. The data collection method used is documentation of internal company data from the stevedoring company in Surabaya. The sampling method used is saturated sampling with a total sample of 85 ships. The analysis methods used in this research are descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study show that the idle time variable has a positive and significant impact on loading and unloading productivity (BSH). In contrast, the not operation time variable does not have a substantial effect on loading and unloading productivity (BSH). Additionally, idle time and not operation time have a simultaneous significant impact on loading and unloading productivity (BSH)
