Abstract

Nausea and vomiting happen on 60%-80% primigravida and 40%-60% multigravida. One hundred of a thousand symptoms of nausea in pregnancy will be heavy if the treatment is not good. Emesis Gravidarum is a normal grievance which is experienced by pregnant mother in first trimester and can become hyperemesis gravidarum so that it increases the risk of disorders of pregnancy. Nausea and vomiting in pregnancy can be avoid with pharmacology and nonpharmacologic therapy. One of nonpharmacologic therapies to control nausea and vomiting is ginger and lime. This research aimed to prove the effects of hot ginger drink and hot lime drink to first semester pregnant mother in Puskesmas Grogol, Kediri District. This research used experiment queasy study of pre-posttest design in group of hot ginger drink and hot lime drink. The population was all pregnant mothers in first semester who experienced emesis gravidarum in Puskesmas Grogol, Kediri District. The samples were 32 people by using purpose sampling technique. Collecting the data was conducted directly through the observation. Data analysis used statistic test of Wilcoxon Match Test and Mann Whitney U Test. The result of the study before and after giving hot lime drink showed that the score was p = 0,002 (p < 0,05), so H1 was achieved and H0 was ignored, it meant there was effect of giving hot lime drink toward emesis gravidae in Puskesmas Grogol, Kediri District. Data analysis used statistic test of Mann Whitney U Test resulted U number > U table = 118.5 > 66 so H0 was achived. H1 was ignored, it meant there wes not different significance between giving hot ginger drink and hot lime drink toward the decrease of emesis gravidarum. The conclusion of this research shows that hot ginger drink and hot lime drink are effective in decreasing emesis gravidarum so that people get the benefit from hot ginger drink and hot lime drink as alternative medicine before consuming antiemetic medicine. They can also make the variants of ginger and lime to decrease the frequency of emesis gravidarum because they are easy to get, simple and effective without side effects and they do not harm mother and the fetus.

Abstract

Accelerating the reduction of stunting is the government's focus in the health sector. However, the COVID-19 pandemic is one of the obstacles. Besides affecting health conditions in Indonesia, the pandemic also has an impact on the family economy, making it even more difficult to implement stunting prevention. So in this case, the community service team wants to provide education and training on the use of surrounding natural resources into nutrient-dense and selling-value food, especially in Bandar Lor village, which has the highest stunting incidence rate in Kediri city. Moringa leaves were chosen because, in addition to being dubbed as a superfood, Moringa leaves are safe to be consumed by children and pregnant women. Moringa leaves were processed into a mixture of soya milk, brownies, and nuggets which children like. During the training, participants seemed very enthusiastic about following the directions. It is hoped that this activity can help the community in processing the surrounding natural resources into nutrient-dense food as an effort to prevent stunting and also can become a new selling idea for a better economy.

Abstract

Fenomena merebaknya anak jalanan di Indonesia merupakan persoalan sosial yang kompleks. Hidup menjadi anak jalanan memang bukan merupakan pilihan yang menyenangkan, karena mereka berada dalam kondisi yang tidak memilki masa depan yang jelas, dan keberadaan mereka tidak jarang menjadi “masalah” bagi banyak pihak, keluarga, masyarakat dan negara. Namun, perhatian terhadap nasib anak jalanan tampaknya belum begitu besar dan solutif. Padahal mereka adalah saudara kita. Tujuan edukasi terstrukturdan pemberdayaan anak jalanan : memberikan Edukasi Terstruktur (terstruktur Pola Hidup Bersih Sehat, Kesehatan Reproduksi, dan NAPZA ) & Pemberdayaan Anak Jalanan di Kota Kediri, serta pendampingan Pola Hidup Bersih Sehat, Kesehatan Reproduksi, dan NAPZA pada anak jalanan Kota Kediri. Manfaat : Diharapkan dapat memberikan pengetahuan tentang Pola Hidup Bersih Sehat, Kesehatan Reproduksi, dan NAPZA pada anak jalanan Kota Kediri, membentuk lingkungan yang sehat di rumah anak jalanan, mencegah berkembangnya IMS antar anak jalanan, deteksi dini terhadap penyakit dan keganasan pada anak jalanan, memberikan bekal keterampilan anak jalanan Kota Kediri supaya dapat hidup mandiri dengan Pola Hidup Bersih Sehat, Kesehatan Reproduksi, dan NAPZA di masyarakat. Ssaran kegiatan pengabmas ini untuk anak jalanan Kota Kediri sebanyak 40 orang. Metode : memberikan edukasi terstruktur dan pendampingan terhadap Anak Jalanan di Kota Kediri dimana sebelum dilaksanakan kegiatan ini dilakukan Pre Test terlebih dahulu untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengetahuan anak jalanan tentang Pola Hidup Bersih Sehat, Kesehatan Reproduksi, dan NAPZA. Kemudian dilakukan edukasi serta pendampingan mentor anak jalanan.

Abstract

One of the problems that occur during the puerperium is postpartum depression. One way to prevent postpartum depression is by giving postnatal massage. Massage after childbirth, can relieve pain, help postpartum mothers to be more relaxed, support breastfeeding efforts, relax muscles, increase circulation and reduce stress hormones, bring relaxation and relieve stress. The benefits of postpartum massage are so great, then this is a very good business opportunity that can be done by alumni who want and are starting a business that does not come out of midwifery itself. The purpose of this community service is to create new entrepreneurs based on science and technology. The community service method is carried out by inviting alumni who want and are starting a business to take part in post partum message and spa training. Before the training, a pre-test was carried out and after the training was a post-test, practicum assignments were made with videos and made a post-partum message and spa entrepreneurship business plan. The results of community service from the pre-test showed that 50% of the knowledge was good, for the post-test 100% of the knowledge was good, 100% of the post-partum message and spa practicum video assignments were collected and 100% of the participants had made a post-partum message and spa entrepreneurship business plan.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding means breastfeeding until six months of age with no other additives except vitamins and medicine. Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Kediri District (34.30%) is still below the national target (45%). Low breastfeeding coverage rates are influenced by many factors, including the history of childbirth and early initiation of breastfeeding. To prevent problems due to the failure of exclusive breastfeeding, this study was conducted to determine the relationship between the history of childbirth and early initiation of breastfeeding with exclusive breastfeeding. The sample size of the research was 49 respondents. The sampling method for this study used simple random sampling. The statistical test of chi square is used for data analysis. The results showed that most respondents had a history of spontaneous labor (69.4%) and early initiation of breastfeeding (69.4%), and also most respondents provided exclusive breastfeeding (51%). Statistical tests showed that there was no correlation between history of childbirth and exclusive breastfeeding (P 0.051) and there was a correlation between and early initiation of breastfeeding and exclusive breastfeeding (P 0.010). Therefore, it has been found that mothers who received early initiation of breastfeeding measures had a greater chance of being able to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Through early initiation of breastfeeding, babies were able to learn to suckle and become accustomed to sucking on nipples, and also helping mothers to prepare their bodies to produce breast milk so they could start providing breast milk to their babies as early as possible and increasing the chances of successful exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Anemia saat ini menjadi masalah pada remaja, wanita usia subur, ibu hamil dan anak-anak di negara berpenghasilan rendah dan menengah. Target pengurangan 50% dari jumlah wanita tidak hamil usia subur (15-49 tahun) yang terkena anemia pada tahun 2025. Permasalahan anemia dapat diatasi dengan cara suplementasi, fortifikasi dan menambahkan makanan yang kaya akan zat besi. Tujuan Penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian olahan susu probiotik terhadap peningkatan kadar hemoglobin pada wanita. Desain penelitian ini adalah Pra-Experimental Design dengan bentuk One-group pre-test post-test design. Teknik Sampling dengan Simple Random Sampling, dengan sample 31 remaja putri. Metode pengumpulan data dengan Lembar observasi untuk mencatat identitas responden, data konsumsi susu probiotik selama 14 hari, dan data pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin pre dan post pemberian susu prebiotic hari ke 15. Analisis data dengan dependent t test, karena uji normalitas saphiro wilk pre test= 0,086 > 0,05, data berdistribusi normal dan post test= 0,013 <0,05, data tidak berdidtribusi normal, maka analisis data menggunakan Wilcoxon sign rank test. Hasil analisis p= 0,000 < 0,05, artinya adanya perbedaan kadar hemoglobin pada remaja putri sebelum dan sesudah diberikan susu probiotik. Pada penelitian ini menunjukkan ada perbedaan kadar hemoglobin pada remaja putri sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi, dimana pemberian olahan susu probiotik efektif meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin remaja putri. Hal ini ditunjukkan hampir seluruh responden sebanyak 27 (87,1%) tidak anemia dan sebagian kecil responden sebanyak 4 (12,9%) anemia ringan. Rekomendasi penelitian selanjutnya adalah factor-factor lain yang mempengaruhi anemia, yaitu factor makanan yang dikonsumsi setiap hari dengan cara melalukan food record. Abstract

Abstract: According to data from the Sei Tualang Raso Health Center in Tanjung Balai City in 2022, 100% of Fe tablets were given to registered pregnant women but only about 65% consumed Fe tablets according to the specified number of 90 tablets. In 2022 there were 620 cases of anemic pregnant women at the Puskesmas Sei Tualang Raso Tanjung Balai City. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors that influence the compliance of pregnant women in consuming Fe. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional study design. The research was conducted in the working area of the Sei Tualang Raso Health Center in July 2023. The analysis performed was univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed there was a relationship between the role of officers (p value: 0.001) and family support (p value: 0.001) on compliance with Fe tablet consumption. It is recommended that the puskesmas continue to maintain information provision either through individual counseling during home visits or group counseling during posyandu implementation and the information received brings positive assumptions for improving health promotion in the future and provides counseling to pregnant women about Fe tablets, the impact, along with the benefits of Fe tablets for pregnant women.Keywords: Family Support, Pregnant Women, Fe Table.

Abstract

The prevalence of obesity and overweight in 2018 was more than 650 million people. Treatment of obesity includes both non-pharmacological and pharmacological approaches, including the use of flaxseed oil. flaxseed oil, containing about 40% oil with ALA as the main component, provides omega-3 fatty acids that reduce inflammation associated with obesity, and its high soluble and insoluble fiber content increases satiety, reduces calorie intake, and improves digestive health. This study aimed to find out how flaxseed oil supplements affect body weight in women. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a control group that included a pre and post-test. Respondents used amounted to 78 people who were divided into 2 groups, namely intervention (39 participants) and control (39 participants) in the working area of Puskesmas Pesantren II and Puskesmas Kota North Region of Kediri City. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. The intervention group was given standard care and flaxseed oil supplement 1 x 1000 mg daily for 12 weeks, while the control group only received standard care. With a p-value of 0.460, the Wilcoxon test on the experimental group for body weight revealed statistically insignificant findings. In contrast, a p-value of 0.356, was observed for body weight in the control group. On the post-test difference in body weight, the p-value was 0.024. flaxseed oil supplementation reduces body weight in women. This study is expected to help health workers to provide flaxseed oil supplements to obese women as an alternative treatment.

Abstract

Perineal rupture is a frequent obstetric complication that may occur during vaginal delivery, either spontaneously or with instrumental assistance. This condition often results in significant perineal pain, potentially hindering the physical recovery and psychological well-being of postpartum women. Non-pharmacological methods, such as Benson’s relaxation technique, have shown promise in managing pain effectively without the risks associated with pharmacological treatments. This quasi-experimental study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Benson’s relaxation technique in reducing perineal suture pain in postpartum women. The study involved 32 participants, with 16 women assigned to the experimental group and 16 to the control group. Pain intensity was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), and the data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. Results revealed a statistically significant reduction in pain scores within the experimental group, with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, indicating a p-value well below the 0.05 threshold. These findings support the use of Benson’s relaxation technique as an effective non-pharmacological intervention for alleviating perineal pain. Integrating this method into postpartum care may enhance maternal comfort and expedite recovery, offering healthcare providers a practical and low-risk approach to pain management in clinical settings.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Rentang waktu lamanya menstruasi dapat menjadi salah satu pemicu timbulnya anemia. Tingkat kejadian anemia di kalangan remaja putri di Provinsi Jawa Timur mencapai 57,1%. Mengacu pada data dari Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Kediri dalam periode 2022-2023, sekitar 37,88% remaja putri teridentifikasi memiliki risiko mengalami anemia. Lama menstruasi yang lebih panjang meningkatkan kemungkinan kehilangan darah dalam jumlah besar, yang pada akhirnya dapat terjadi akibat berbagai faktor, salah satunya berdampak pada remaja putri yang memiliki risiko tinggi mengalami anemia akibat defisiensi besi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji keterkaitan antara lamanya periode menstruasi dengan kadar hemoglobin pada remaja putri. Metodologi: Penelitian ini menerapkan desain analitik dengan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menganalisis keterkaitan antara berbagai variabel. Subjek penelitian melibatkan 124 siswi remaja putri yang sedang menempuh pendidikan di kelas 7, teknik pengambilan sampel secara stratified random sampling sehingga diperoleh 60 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket dan pengukuran tingkat hemoglobin dengan perangkat digital. Hasil yang didapat kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode korelasi Spearman Rank. Hasil: Analisis menggunakan korelasi Spearman Rank (rho) menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,006, yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Temuan ini mengindikasikan adanya hubungan antara lamanya periode menstruasi dengan kadar hemoglobin pada siswi di SMPN 1 Grogol, Kabupaten Kediri. Diskusi: Lama menstruasi yang memiliki rentang waktu yang lebih dari normal bisa menjadi Salah satu faktor yang dapat menyebabkan berkurangnya kadar zat besi dalam tubuh adalah kurangnya asupan yang memadai. Hal ini dapat berdampak pada penurunan kadar hemoglobin, terutama pada remaja putri. Oleh karena itu, remaja putri disarankan untuk untuk mengonsumsi makanan bergizi, terutama yang kaya akan zat besi, serta mengonsumsi suplemen zat besi jika diperlukan. Kata Kunci : Anemia, Remaja Putri, Lama Menstruasi, Kadar Hemoglobin.
