Abstract

The The demands of 21st century learning and the Independent Curriculum have not been fully implemented well, especially the creative abilities of students at SMA N 1 Jakenan. Based on observations made at SMA Negeri 1 Jakenan, it was found that students were less active during learning so that students' creativity was less developed. Students also still need additional learning resources apart from using LKPD and textbooks. This research aims to analyze the influence of the Picture and Picture model with the JAS approach (PICJAS) on students' cognitive and creative learning outcomes in Plantae material. This research is a type of quasi-experimental research with a Pretest-Posttest Nonequavalent Control Group Design. The samples used in this research were X3 (experimental class) and X4 (control class) which were taken using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique in this research is using tests, product assessment, observation and giving questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using the independent sample t-test for student cognitive learning outcomes and the Mann Whitney test for student creativity outcomes. Based on data analysis using the independent sample t-test and the Mann Whitney test, a significance value of 0.00 and 0.00 was obtained, because the sig value < α (0.05) means that there is a significant difference between the classes given the model treatment. PICJAS with classes treated with the lecture and discussion method or H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. These results show that there is a significant influence from implementing the PICJAS learning model on improving students' cognitive learning outcomes and creativity. This influence can make the PICJAS model an alternative learning model that can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes and creativity.

Abstract

At SMA Negeri 1 Tengaran, students' critical thinking and collaboration skills in environmental change material are still low. This is reinforced by student learning results in environmental change material which show that only 40.62% of students meet the criteria for achieving learning objectives and the results of the collaboration skills questionnaire which show that 32.3% of students find it difficult to collaborate with friends. These results are motivated by the low level of student involvement in learning so that a student-centered learning model is needed, such as the NHT type learning model assisted by problem-based LKPD. This learning model can train critical thinking skills through learning activities that invite students to think in solving problems on the LKPD while also training students' collaboration skills through group collaboration. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of implementing the NHT type learning model assisted by problem-based LKPD on students' critical thinking and collaboration skills in environmental change material. The research is Pre-Experimental research with one group pretest-posttest. The research sample consisted of classes X-1, X-4 and X-5 which were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Critical thinking skills data were analyzed using the paired sample T-test while collaboration skills data used the Wilcoxon test. The results of the Paired Sample T test show a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), meaning that the use of the NHT model assisted by problem-based LKPD has an effect on students' critical thinking skills. Each aspect of critical thinking has an N-gain value > 0.3 with the highest N-Gain in the indicators of advanced clarification and strategies & tactics. For the collaboration variable, the results of the Wilcoxon test show an Asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) value of 0.000 (<0.05), meaning that the use of the NHT model assisted by problem-based LKPD has an effect on collaboration skills. Each aspect of collaboration has an N-gain value > 0.3 (medium category) with the highest N-Gain in the indicator of working in a group. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of the NHT model assisted by problem-based LKPD has an effect in improving students' critical thinking and collaboration skills at SMA Negeri 1 Tengaran in environmental change material. The results of this research can be used as an alternative learning model to improve students' critical thinking and collaboration skills.

Abstract

Biology Education students, as prospective biology teachers, must be equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver biology lessons in an engaging and enjoyable manner. In the context of the JAS (Exploration of the Surrounding Environment) approach, Bioedutainment is a teaching strategy that aligns well with the JAS approach. Bioedutainment is a course within the curriculum of the Biology Education programme at FMIPA UNNES. The aim of this study is to develop a valid and reliable instrument to assess the creativity of students enrolled in the Bioedutainment course, specifically in designing and implementing engaging biology lessons based on the Bioedutainment strategy. This research utilises the ADDIE R&D model. The developed creativity instrument is described in terms of its characteristics, validated through expert judgment, and its reliability is measured using construct reliability coefficients (Cronbach's Alpha). The findings indicate that the three developed creativity assessment instruments align with the creativity aspects of fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality. Expert evaluations show that the instrument is suitable for use, and the reliability coefficient (CR) calculation yielded a score of 0.9, indicating that the developed creativity assessment instrument is reliable. In conclusion, the developed creativity assessment instrument, aligned with the established creativity assessment characteristics, is both valid and reliable for measuring the creativity of students in the Bioedutainment course
