Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran PjBL yang diintegrasikan dengan STEM. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sampel penelitian yaitu mahasiswa yang mengambil MK Anfisman, yang dipilih dengan cara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah berupa soal essay. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa terdapat 19% termasuk kategori cukup, 29% kategori kurang dan 57% kategori sangat kurang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa ketika mengerjakan soal-soal yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah biologi adalah kesalahan mentransformasikan informasi, kesalahan keterampilan proses, dan kesalahan memahami soal.

Abstract

Higher order thinking skills are needed in 21st century learning. This study aims to determine the profile of higher order thinking skills at the level of creating biology subjects for high school students in Banten Province and a comparison of students' creative abilities in each district/city in Banten Province. The research method used was a phenomenological approach and school sampling with random sampling technique was used in 8 cities or districts of Banten Province in March-October 2020. Data were collected using a questionnaire technique. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the Miles & Huberman model. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the higher-order thinking ability of students at the creative level in Banten Province was 6.8 which was included in the very poor category. The learning process that has not taken the HOTS approach and is not used to providing students with high-level thinking questions makes students find it difficult to solve the problems they face.

Abstract

Banten is one of the provinces in Indonesia with the quality of education that has not been said to be good. One of the causes of the low quality of education is the low thinking ability of students. This research aimed to determine the HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) ability analytical skill of biology material for SMA/MA students in Banten Province by used description question. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The sampling technique used in this study was random sampling. The sample used was 320 students in Banten Province. The instrument used was a description of the analytical skills, interview sheets and questionnaire sheets. The research was conducted from March to November 2020. Based on the results of the research, the average analytical ability of students in Banten Province was in the less category with a score of 22,19.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of multimedia-based learning media for the concept of the human digestive system using Adobe Flash Professional CS6. This research and development (R&D) use the ADDIE development model. The development carried out in this study is limited to the 7th step, including problem identification, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, and product revision. The subjects of this study were determined by using random sampling. Data collection was carried out by non-test techniques using interview guide sheets, validation questionnaires from media and material experts, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the feasibility test of the product developed based on the material was in the excellent category of 91%. Furthermore, the results showed that the feasibility test of the product developed based on the assessment of media experts was feasible with 87.5%. User-based due diligence through limited trial also showed decent results with 97.7%. These results indicate that the multimedia-based learning media developed using Adobe Flash Professional CS6 is feasible for mass production after the final revision.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a condition characterized by an increase in the frequency and a decrease in the consistency of bowel movements. Diarrhea is often experienced by school children caused by the behavior of children who do not understand about clean and healthy living. Incidents can happen to anyone who does not pay attention to personal hygiene. It is hoped that there will be a change in the behavior of clean and healthy living for school residents and the unhealthy school environment community in order to become healthy. This service aims to determine and analyze the determinants of diarrheal disease in children at SDN Curug Manis. This service was carried out at SDN Curug Manis using survey methods and interviews with residents of SDN Curug Manis with a total of 58 participants. The results of this service showed that participants were very enthusiastic in all stages of this activity, starting from the interview stage (pre-test) which showed that participants did not fully know about the prevention of diarrhea. One proof of the success of this activity is seen from the post-test results, on average students answered questions related to diarrhea prevention correctly. This shows that there is an increase in knowledge for students about diarrhea compared to when it has not been explained about diarrhea in children.   ABSTRAK Diare merupakan suatu kondisi yang ditandai dengan peningkatan frekuensi dan penurunan konsistensi buang air besar. Diare sering dialami oleh anak sekolah yang disebabkan oleh perilaku anak yang kurang paham mengenai hidup bersih dan sehat. Kejadian dapat terjadi pada siapa saja yang tidak memperhatikan kebersihan diri. Diharapkan adanya perubahan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat warga sekolah dan masyarakat lingkungan sekolah yang tidak sehat agar menjadi sehat. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis determinan penyakit diare pada anak di SDN Curug Manis. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Curug Manis menggunakan metode survei dan wawancara pada para warga SDN Curug Manis dengan total peserta 58. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta sangat antusias pada semua tahapan kegiatan ini, mulai dari tahap wawancara (pre-test) yang menunjukkan bahwa peserta belum sepenuhnya mengetahui tentang pencegahan diare. Salah satu bukti keberhasilan kegiatan ini adalah dilihat dari hasil post-test, rata-rata siswa menjawab pertanyaan terkait pencegahan diare dengan benar. Hal itu menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan pengetahuan bagi siswa tentang diare dibandingkan saat belum dijelaskan tentang diare pada anak.

Abstract

Pubertas merupakan bagian dari perubahan untuk masuk ke tahap remaja. Perubahan yang terjadi pada proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan ini sering membuat remaja cenderung stress berlebih. Selain itu minim pengetahuan terkait pubertas berdampak pada sikap remaja. Namun, kenyataannya pada masyarakat, orang tua dan guru merasa kesulitan dalam menjelaskan terkait pubertas. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu memberikan edukasi persiapan masa pubertas bagi siswa kelas 6 SDN Serang 05 ditinjau dari perspektif biologi dan agama islam. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 20 April 2022 dengan tema “Selamat Datang Masa Remaja” bertempat di SDN Serang 05. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah siswa kelas 6. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan yaitu melalui edukasi dengan ceramah dan tanya jawab. Hasil dari kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan penambahan wawasan mengenai pubertas kepada peserta. Pihak sekolah juga memberikan respon yang antusias dan positif pada kegiatan edukasi persiapan masa pubertas ini karena dianggap membantu guru menambah pemahaman peserta didik mengenai pubertas.

Abstract

Education in efforts to prevent eye health problems as a form of community service. The socialization was carried out at SDN Pancur, Serang City with the theme "Me and My Eye Health" which aims to provide knowledge and information about how to maintain and care for eye health. Education was given to Class 4 5 students which was attended by 70 students. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of a questionnaire with 10 question items. This research method uses lectures and discussions. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation and questionnaires with 10 items. The results of this study were 22.9% of students did not know how to maintain eye health and 48.6% of students had bad habits that could reduce the quality of vision. Prevention of damage to the eyes can be done by avoiding bad habits, eating nutritious foods, and getting used to caring for them. eye health.

Abstract

Students acquire and improve various intellectual abilities through learning process facilitated by learning methods. The study provides information on the development process of digital flipbook modules to facilitate student intelligence and learning style for the circulatory system, determine its feasibility, and students’ responses. The method used was an R&D with 4D development models. It consisted of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, this research was limited to the development stage. Development of digital flipbook modules based on nine types of intelligence: linguistic, mathematical logic, kinesthetic, visual-spatial, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalist, and existential. The instruments used expert feasibility questionnaires (materials and media) and student response questionnaires. The result of the assessment test of experts in the material aspect was 96.4% in the very eligible category, and the media aspect was 92.8% in the very suitable category. The score of students’ responses was 90,14%, in the very eligible category. Based on the analysis results, the digital flipbook module was suitable biology teaching material for the circulatory system

Abstract

This research aims to determine the HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) ability profile at the evaluation level of biology material for high school/MA students throughout Banten Province. This research was conducted in 16 schools in Banten Province which were taken using a simple random sampling technique. The research subjects consisted of 320 students who worked on HOTS questions, then of the 320 students, 80 students were taken to work on an open questionnaire, and 8 teachers were interviewed regarding HOTS abilities at evaluation level (C5). The research results show that the HOTS level evaluation (C5) abilities of SMA/MA students in Banten Province are still very low with an average score of 18.10, which is in the very poor category. Students who have evaluation level HOTS abilities in the very poor category are 62%, 26% in the poor category, 10% in the sufficient category, 2% in the good category, and 0% of students who have evaluation level HOTS abilities in the very good category.

Abstract

21st century skills are currently skills that are being widely developed through learning, one of which is collaboration skills. The aim of this research was to analyze the profile of students' collaboration skills through learning using the EDP model. Students were directed to overcome environmental pollution in Banten. Qualitative descriptive was a research method that used with a sample of 30 Biology Education students. The instrument used of this research was questionnaire with data collection techniques using self-assessment. There were five indicators observed, namely listening and respecting others, being flexible and compromising, working efficiently, being responsible and contributing actively. The results of the analysis show that the collaboration skills of Biology Education students with EDP learning show a very high level with an average score of 88.37.
