Abstract

This study aimed to develop a differentiated teaching module on the concept of membrane transport. This teaching module was expected to be an example of the development of differentiated teaching modules in Biology subjects. This research method was Research and Development which consists of several stages including potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision. The development of teaching modules uses Canva, google sites, barcode websites, M.S word. The teaching module developed consists of three differentiated learning, namely process, content and product differentiation. The three learning differentiations were based on diagnostic analysis of student interests, learning profiles and student learning readiness. The teaching module also contains guidelines for differentiated learning activities on membrane transport material. The feasibility of the teaching module content obtained a score of 97.6 with a very good interpretation. The feasibility of teaching module users obtained a score of 95.19 with the interpretation of very feasible to use. The acquisition of this value indicates that the teaching module product developed is feasible to use and can be used as a guide in designing differentiated teaching modules in biology subjects. In developing teaching modules, it is better to use media that are more integrated with varied technologies such as quiz and teaching modules that can cover environmental differentiation as well.

Abstract

The aims of this research to determine the implementation and the responses of students about peer assessment in assessing the performance of amphibious dissection practices. This research method was descriptive research with the subject of X1 and X3 grade students in SMAN 1 Ciomas. The result showed that both of the classes have the ability to peer assessment sufficient. Performance capability according to peer assessment and observer in superior class and regular class entered in very good category. Student’s response on peer assessment was good. Students were enthusiastic in doing peer assessment because it directly involved in the assessment. Keywords: Implementation of Practice, Peer Assessment, Performance

Abstract

Abstract Science and technology learning should not just provide a collection of facts, laws and theories but rather is a process conducted by the students to acquire knowledge through interaction with the surrounding environment. The students are trained in scientific thinking critically, creatively and independently through active and meaningful learning process, for example by using the environment as a learning resource. This study aims to develop learning equipments oriented higher-order thinking skills (critical and creative) to explore the potential of biological resources of Tunda island, as a learning resource in the subject of Biotechnology. This study used research and development (R & D) method, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, validation and revision. Learning equipments that produced are RPS (lesson plans for 1 semester), the student worksheets (LKM), and evaluation (test) instruments. The results of the validation team of experts showed that the learning equipments are good categorized, with the values 77.14 for RPS, 85 for LKM, and 94 for instrument test. Criticisms and suggestions from the experts were used as the basis of revision, so that the learning equipments are eligible for learning. Keywords: Research and Development, Tunda Island, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Biotechnology Subject
