Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Catholic religious teachers at Taekas State High School in relation to adolescent self-control and to measure the effectiveness of these efforts in increasing the self-control of Taekas Senior High School students. Teachers are people who have knowledge, and experience, and are fully responsible for the educational process of their students by example and personality so that they can direct students to achieve educational goals. Catholic religious education is faith education that is carried out in a planned manner, strengthens students' faith in God Almighty in accordance with Catholic religious teachings, and prepares students to become useful human beings for the State and the Church. Adolescent self-control is a process of growth between childhood and adulthood, which is between the ages of 13-17 years in which a person seeks his identity and refuses to act contrary to human norms or to restrain behavior that is painful or detrimental to others. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach, where the researcher uses direct interviews with respondents as a tool to collect data. The results of the study found several efforts made by the teacher and the results obtained in improving adolescent self-control at Taekas State High School. Efforts include: first, increasing student attendance at school. Second, is the increased activeness of students in the classroom. Third, most of the students are orderly by school rules and regulations. Fourth, increasing student achievement results. Fifth, student behavior is in accordance with what is expected so that unwanted things do not happen.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the spread of the Covid-19 Pandemic that occurred in various regions in East Nusa Tenggara Province. This has an impact on education, especially in the learning process that changes from face-to-face learning to a shift learning system. The problem examined in this study is whether there is an effect of the shift learning system on the learning motivation of students in Class V and VI of Amol State Elementary School. The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of the shift learning system on students' learning motivation in the subjects of Catholic Religious Education Class V and VI at SD Negeri Amol. The type of method used in this research is quantitative research with a correlation approach. The research location is in SD Negeri Amol. Informants in this study were students of Class V and VI. Data collection techniques used are observation and questionnaires. While the data analysis techniques include correlation analysis techniques and simple regression techniques. Based on calculations using the correlation formula, it was found that the correlation between the shift learning system and the learning motivation of students was 0.1283%, which was relatively low. Meanwhile, using a simple regression formula of 0.081 (low). The results showed that there was an effect of shift learning on the learning motivation of Class V and VI students, meaning that the lower or less the value of shift learning, the lower the level of learning motivation of students, and vice versa if the higher the value of shift learning, the higher the level of learning motivation of students.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the quality of the process of implementing the rattling button type cooperative method which can increase learning activity in Class This research includes classroom action research (PTK) which consists of cycle I and cycle II, each of which has four stages, namely: planning stage, implementation stage, observation stage and reflection stage. The techniques used in data collection are observation, tests and research documentation. The results of the research show that the application of the rattling button type cooperative method can increase learning activity in Catholic religious education, where in cycle I student activity was 75.53% with fairly good criteria, and in cycle II student activity increased 95.92% with very good criteria. Based on the research results obtained, the researchers concluded that through the cooperative method of the jingling button type can increase the learning activity of Class X Social 1 students at SMAN 1 East Malaka for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

Love for one's country is one of the main things in forming a citizen's character, namely a sense of belonging, a sense of care, a sense of preserving and a sense of wanting to advance the unity of the nation and state. With this attitude of love, the state of the country will be better. The research objectives are 1) to determine the quality of Catholic Religious Education learning outcomes by applying project-based experiential methods to increase the feeling of love for the country for class 2) to determine the quality of the Catholic Religious Education learning process by applying project-based experiential methods to increase the feeling of love for the country for class This research uses Classroom Action Research (PTK) which consists of Cycle I and Cycle II which has four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of the research show that through the application of project-based experiential methods the feeling of patriotism in Catholic Religious Education subjects can increase as follows. The data results for Cycle I were 2.59% and Cycle II were 3.97%. From these data it is concluded that the application of project-based experiential methods can increase the feeling of love for the country in Catholic Religious Education Learning for class.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of the results and the quality of the process of applying the discovery learning method to PAK learning, which can improve learning achievement for Class XI MIA 1 students in the 2021–2022 academic year. We collect data through observation, tests, and documentation. The results of research in the field prove that the results of research in each cycle indicate that the application of the discovery learning method can improve student achievement. The ability of student achievement increases in each cycle, where in Cycle I the number of scores obtained is 1,849, the class average is 71.11%, and the class mastery is 23.01% in the sufficient category and has not yet reached the KKM. In Cycle II the number of scores was 2,084, the class average was 80.15%, and the class completeness was 80.11%, which were in the good category and had reached the KKM. According to the author, the discovery learning method is highly suitable for students in class XI, MIA 1, to learn Catholic religious education. Based on the results obtained by the author, there is an increase in students' learning achievement, which includes cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of learning Catholic religious education using the discovery learning method. Students know the quality of the results and the process of applying this method.

Abstract

This research aimed at finding out the sequential structure of the interactions between sellers and buyers at the traditional market of Biboki Anleu. It employed conversation analysis (CA) to identify the interaction patterns-such as openings, adjacency pairs, insertions, extensions, and closings that reflect the social dynamics of market transaction-and ethnography of communication to understand the sociocultural context, norms, and language practices of the local community that frame their everyday communicative behaviors. The data collection was conducted through participatory observation, audiovisual recordings, and conversation transcription. The findings show that the conversation structure not only regulates the flow of communication but also conveys local cultural values such as politeness, solidarity, and communal economy. Unique expressions like owwww… are used as subtle and multimodal negotiation strategies. This study also highlights the differences of conversational structure from other traditional markets, such as those in Mexico and Manado by identifying both common patterns in buying and selling conversations and distinctive local features of the border community. Theoretically, this research expands the application of CA and ethnography of communication in local activities and enriches the understanding of interactional sociolinguistics. Culturally and linguistically, traditional markets are proven to be social spaces that shape, sustain, and transmit community identities and values through verbal and non-verbal interaction.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru SMAS Pelita Karya–NTT dalam merancang media pembelajaran digital menggunakan Google Sites. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui pelatihan, pendampingan teknis, dan praktik langsung. Evaluasi keberhasilan pelatihan dilakukan menggunakan beberapa instrumen, yaitu pre-test dan post-test, rubrik penilaian produk, kuesioner skala Likert. Selain itu, evaluasi dampak implementasi dilakukan melalui kuesioner lanjutan dan observasi untuk melihat perubahan praktik pembelajaran. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada seluruh indikator. Pemahaman konsep media pembelajaran meningkat dari 40% menjadi 95%, kemampuan teknis mengoperasikan Google Sites meningkat dari 32% menjadi 100%, kreativitas desain meningkat dari 38% menjadi 98%, dan kemampuan integrasi multimedia meningkat dari 35% menjadi 100%. Pada aspek implementasi, penggunaan media digital meningkat dari 25% menjadi 90%, pembuatan media secara mandiri meningkat dari 35% menjadi 95%, keaktifan siswa meningkat dari 40% menjadi 88%, dan kolaborasi antar guru meningkat dari 30% menjadi 85%. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini terbukti efektif meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis dan teknis guru serta berdampak positif terhadap praktik pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di sekolah.
