Abstract

This study aims to determine the composition of vegetation types in the karst area of Gorontalo province and determine the vegetation structure in the karst area of Gorontalo province. The method used in this study uses the square transect method, the transect line is made perpendicular along 100 m, with the plot size being 20 x 20 m for tree strata, 10 x 10 m for pile strata, and 5 x 5 m for seedling strata, The results of vegetation structure analysis based on the highest INP value for tree-level strata at station I are Leucaena leucocephala species 2.20%, at Ceiba petandra station II 1.24%, and at Muntingia calabura station III 1.72%. At the stake level, the Leucaena leucocephala species had the highest INP value of the three stations, which was 1.81%. For the nursery rate, the highest INP is owned by the Leucaena leucocephala species at 2.10%. Based on the results of the analysis using ordinance charts, stations II and III have almost the same formation pattern so that the graph tends to overlap, while for station I it is very different from stations II and III, for station I it has its own formation pattern compared to stations II and III, and station I is also indicated to have its own characteristics based on habitat conditions and environmental factors.

Abstract

The aims of this study to describe the students biodiversity literacy skills in natural science lectures. The data research from the observation and the test scores. Biodiversity literacy skills indicators were established. Analysis of data using qualitative descriptive methods. The results showed the biodiversity literacy skills are within medium, high and very high criteria. Based on indicators of biodiversity literacy skills, it is in the criteria of being able to define biodiversity and its use, being able to distinguish biodiversity at the gene, species, ecosystem level, and being able to construct solutions to biodiversity problems. This biodiversity literacy skill can encourage the character of concern for biodiversity decline so that students are able to come up with solutions to existing biodiversity problems.Keywords: biodiversity literacy skills, science lectures, grounded theory approach.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i1.pp50-58

Abstract

Vegetation is a community of plants of various species that live in a certain environmental condition and interactions occur in it. The fact of the vegetation analysis course material and has implications for students in vegetation analysis lecture activities. The development of teaching materials based on the potential of karst ecosystems can be carried out with a biodiversity literacy approach. The aims of this study to develop vegetation analysis materials supplements, by utilizing the results of vegetation analysis and their interaction with plant root microorganisms in karst ecosystems. The research mtheods used R&D method with the ADDIE model. The stages of research are analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The results obtained showed that the form of supplement materials based on biodiversity literacy in the vegetation analysis course, had a validation result of 93.75% which was included in the range of 81% to 100%, in the aspect of design the supplement materials was 91.67% that indicated very good quality,with in the range 81% to 100%, the student response to the overall aspect in 94%, where this value is included in the very good category because it is in the range of 81 to 100%.

Abstract

The avocado (Persea americana), a recognized superfood and valuable horticultural commodity, exhibits significant morphological diversity due to long-term adaptation to various habitats, enhancing biodiversity. This study analyzed the diversity and genetic relationships of cultivated avocados in Gorontalo Regency. Using the Descriptors for Avocado (Persea spp.), 25 qualitative morphological traits were characterized, and a phenetic analysis of 17 accessions was conducted using UPGMA with Jaccard’s Coefficient. Accessions were collected from six villages across four sub-districts: Dulamayo Barat, Dumati, Hepuhulawa, Kayubulan, Kayumerah, and Tridarma. Results revealed substantial diversity in traits such as tree shape, and the morphology of stems, leaves, fruits, and seeds. Phenetic analysis grouped the accessions into two clades: Clade A, comprising 15 accessions in two clusters (similarity index: 64.7-29.0%), and Clade B, containing two accessions in one cluster (similarity index: 64.7%). Clades A and B exhibited a distant relationship, with a similarity index of 23.6%. Conserving the diverse avocado germplasm is essential for safeguarding genetic resources and supporting breeding programs to develop superior varieties in Gorontalo

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan tentang Pengembangan E-Modul Biologi Berbantuan Flipbook Maker Berbasis Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik di Kelas X SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research & Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE dilakukan uji coba terbatas pada 22 peserta didik di kelas X SMA Negeri 6 Gorontalo. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Uji validasi materi memperoleh nilai sebesar 94% (Sangat Valid), dan Uji validasi media memperoleh nilai sebesar 84% (Valid). (2) Uji Kepraktisan terdiri dari uji Respon Guru memperoleh nilai sebesar 94% (Sangat Praktis), dan untuk Uji respon peserta didik memperoleh nilai sebesar 91% (Sangat Praktis). (3) Tes hasil belajar pada kelompok kecil dengan melakukan evaluasi pretest-posttest, berdasarkan skala N-Gain memperoleh nilai sebesar 0,68 (sedang) atau 68% (Cukup Efektif).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas dan kepraktisan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development. Model penelitian ini mengacu pada model Plomp 2013 yang terdiri dari 3 fase yaitu: tahapan penelitian awal (Preliminary research), tahap perancangan (Prototyping phase), tahap Penilaian (Assesment Phase). dengan uji coba pada 20 peserta didik di kelas XI IPA4 SMA Negeri 4 Gorontalo. Hasil pada penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Uji validitas Book of Marker berbantuan teknologi AR memperoleh nilai 88,32% (Sangat Layak), dan Uji validitas materi memperoleh nilai 95,83% (Sangat Layak), (2) Uji kepraktisan respon respon peserta didik dan guru. Respon peserta didik memperoleh nilai 92,25% (Praktis) dan respon guru memperoleh nilai 92,5% (Praktis). Berdasarkan uraian seluruh nilai persentase validasi dan uji coba membuktikan bahwa ; Pengembangan Book of Marker Materi Sistem Ekskresi Pada Manusia Berbantuan Teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) di Kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Gorontalo yang telah dikembangkan dan memenuhi kriteria valid, dan praktis

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas dan kepraktisan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development. Hasil pada penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Uji validitas Media memperoleh nilai 83% (Sangat Valid), Berdasarkan uraian seluruh nilai persentase validasi dan uji coba membuktikan bahwa ; Pengembangan Modul Digital Berbasis Problem Based Learning Pada Materi Inovasi Teknologi Biologi Di SMA Negeri 1 Paguyaman yang telah dikembangkan dan memenuhi kriteria valid.
