Abstract

ABSTRACT On January 20, 2021, Covid-19 transmission reached 1.012.350 cases in 224 countries, with a Case Fatality Rate in Indonesia of 33.2%. Indonesia has ranked first in Asia due to a very large increase in Covid-19 cases. The spread of Covid-19 can be prevented by implementing health protocols and vaccination programs. Although vaccination is very important many people doubt it. Based on data, the first dose of vaccine in West Kalimantan only reached 14.5%. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge with Covid-19 vaccine decisions. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with univariate and bivariate data analysis techniques. The sample in this study was composed of 383 residents who live in Pontianak and were selected by purposive sampling methods. The instrument in this study used the Covid-19 knowledge questionnaire. The result of the study was that 70.5% of respondents had good knowledge, and 86.7% received the Covid-19 vaccine. 22.5% of respondents had fair knowledge, where 3.5% of respondents decided not to vaccinate, 27% of respondents had poor knowledge, and 7% of respondents decided not to vaccinate. There was a relationship between knowledge with Covid-19 vaccination decisions, as evidenced by the Chi-square test (p=0.001). Good knowledge will produce the right decision for someone to act. Keywords : Covid-19, Covid-19 Vaccines, Vaccination

Abstract

ABSTRACT Covid-19 causes fear, worry, fatigue, and post-traumatic stress disorder in nurses who are frontline staff in hospitals.  Based on a survey at a hospital nurses felt burnout in caring for the covid-19 patients due to lack of rest, lack of concentration when providing nursing care, and physical burnout caused by an increase in patients with COVID-19. This study aims to determine the association between respondent characteristics and nurses’ burnout while in caring for covid-19 patients. This research used a correlation quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach.  The sampling technique used was a total sampling of 52 nurses who work at private hospitals in western Indonesia.  Data analysis was bivariate with the Pearson chi-square test.  The research questionnaire used a subjective questionnaire self-rating test from the industrial fatigue research committee Japan (IFRC). The chi-square test resulted that the variables were not related in caring for covid-19 patients, which is age (p-value = 0.414), gender (p-value = 0.404), education (p-value = 0.069), and marital status (p-value = 0.429). Burnout can occur from several factors such as workload, shift, and work environment. This result can imply for nurses to arrange a time to rest and better scheduling. Nursing managers can also reduce burnout by rewarding, motivating, foster a sense of community in the workplace, and creating a comfortable environment for nurses. Keywords: Burnout, Nurse, Fear, Stress Disorder, Post-Traumatic, Covid-19

Abstract

The incidence of COVID-19 has resulted in many policy changes in each country. Some things done are physical distancing, social distancing, and social containment. The Indonesian government implemented Large-Scale Social Restrictions, changes in the school system, and lectures to an online system, worship at home, and work at home. Implementing online learning has obstacles, especially for nursing students, such as ineffective practice, not understanding the material, poor network, limited quota, and even the emergence of stress due to the system. Aim: This study aimed to explore nursing students' experiences in undergoing online learning during COVID-19. This research design uses qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The number of participants in this study was 14 from two nursing faculties in Jakarta, and the data were saturated using purposive sampling. Data were collected by in-depth interviews using the Zoom platform for 45-60 minutes, then verbatim and analyzed using Collaizi. The results of this study consist of three themes, namely challenges to undergoing online learning, the advantages of online learning, and online learning impacts. The results of this study can be recommended to modify teaching methods, such as inserting interactive material to motivate students to be more interactive and not trigger students to increase independent learning methods. Abstract

Instilling a culture of literacy in today's digital era begins with children's interest in learning. One of them is through reading and writing literacy. However, rapidly developing technological capabilities and an increasingly sophisticated era create new problems for children due to low interest in literacy. The low level of literacy in children is an alarm in the development of human resources to determine the future of the nation, so this is the background for conducting education related to children's literacy activities on the learning attitudes of school-age children. The form of education is carried out through hybrid community service (PkM) through Zoom and at the locations of TBA Arumba 91 and Yayasan SD Masehi GBKP Kabanjahe, North Sumatra, with participants being elementary school students consisting of grades 4-6 SD. The implementation method is pre-test, post-test, material presentation, and discussion. The topic explained at this seminar is education about literacy activities that can be done in schoolchildren, especially health literacy and healthy living education in school-age children. This activity was attended by 127 participants, and all of them participated from the beginning to the end of the activity. The results of the activity obtained an increase in understanding from the participants based on the average value of the pre-test (before given the material = 62.70) and post-test (after given the material = 74.20) with a p-value = 0.001. Literacy activities enhance children’s interest, concentration, and critical thinking; parents and teachers should regularly involve them in enjoyable literacy activities.
