Abstract

ABSTRACT Professionalism in nursing is constantly changing because of the nursing professional development and the values of the community. One important step in achieving and maintaining professionalism in nursing education is through Role modelling. This study was to identify professional role modelling behaviour in nursing education settings from the perspective of the students at a private faculty of nursing in Indonesia. This study applied an exploratory sequential with a mixed-method design that collected qualitative and quantitative data within two different phases. In the first phase, qualitative data were collected via open-ended questions from a total of 287 students. The qualitative data was analysed using thematic analysis which then developed into a quantitative research questionnaire. The newly developed questionnaire was tested for its validity and reliability to 30 students (Cronbach Alpha 0.97). In the second phase, the 35 item questionnaire was developed and self-administered to undergraduate nursing students. Respondents provided opinions on a four point scale (strongly disagree, disagree, agree, and strongly agree). A descriptive statistic was used to describe its item of the questionnaire. Total of 263 nursing students agreed to involve in the study. First Phase reveald categories of professional role modelling in nursing consist of guiding, willing to help, smart, caring, have love, commitment, competence, integrity and have the character of Christ, patient, disciplined. These categories were then developed into a role model questionnaire consisting of 35 questions. Second phase using the questionnaire most students (>80%) agreed that nurse educators demonstrated professional role modelling behaviour in nursing education settings. However, few students disagreed, indicating that they witnessed unprofessional behaviour in their learning journey. This study has developed a number of characteristics of professional role modelling in nursing education settings that most students have agreed. These characteristics are essential and desirable for role models so they could assist nurse educators to strengthen needed characteristics within their institutions. Keywords: Professional, Role Modelling, Nurses

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Dewasa ini, teknologi adalah bagian yang tidak terpisahkan kehidupan sehari-hari kita, apalagi dari kehidupan para remaja di Indonesia. Semua bidang termasuk dunia pendidikan terimbas pengaruh perkembangan teknologi dan oleh karena itu kegiatan pembelajaran harus mampu menjawab tantangan zaman revolusi industri 4.0. Akan tetapi, apabila tidak disikapi dengan bijaksana, perkembangan teknologi yang pesat ini dapat membawa pengaruh negatif bagi para siswa. Oleh karena itu, guru-guru diharapkan dapat mengimbangi kemajuan memanfaatkan teknologi saat proses pembelajaran sehingga teknologi dapat digunakan untuk kegiatan yang positif, yakni menciptakan pembelajaran yang kreatif dan menyenangkan sehingga dapat menunjang prestasi siswa. Tujuan: Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan bagaimana cara memanfaatkan teknologi yakni penggunaan fitur gamifikasi daring gratis untuk membantu proses belajar mengajar diruangan kelas. Metode: Kegiatan pelatihan diadakan dalam bentuk workshop selama 2 sesi, yaitu dengan pengenalan fitur gamifikasi daring gratis; Kahoot! dan Quizizz, menguji coba dengan menempatkan guru sebagai siswa, kemudian membuka akun dan mendesain kuis sendiri. Hasil: Di akhir kegiatan, para guru berhasil membuka akun sendiri dan menguji coba kuis yang mereka kerjakan dengan rekan guru yang lain. Mereka juga didapati menggunakan fitur gamifikasi daring gratis yang telah diperkenalkan pada kegiatan belajar mengajar setelah pelatihan berakhir.

Abstract

Organisasi pelayanan kesehatan bersifat kompleks dan dinamis. Tanggung jawab manajerial yang baru berada pada pegelolaan pelayanan keperawatan yang memerlukan perawat administrator yang memiliki pengetahuan, terampil dan kompeten dalam semua aspek manajemen. Menurut American Nurse Association (ANA) standar pelayanan yang profesional termasuk didalamnya adanya etika dalam lingkup praktek. Selanjutnya, menyebutkan bahwa perawat diharapkan dapat membangun suatu lingkungan yang beretika dan berbudaya civility dan memiliki kebaikan, cara memperlakukan sesama, rekan kerja, staf lain, mahasiswa dan orang lain dengan bermartabat dan rasa hormat. Tenaga kesehatan saat ini menunjukkan bahwa masih sering terjadinya masalah dalam berkomunikasi. Masalah etika komunikasi yang mulai menjadi isu dalam keperawatan yaitu komunikasi secara online dan offline. Tujuan PKM ini untuk meningkatkan pemahaman Teknik komunikasi terapeutik yang efektik dalam keperawatan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pemberian kuesioner pre test, pemberian materi komunikasi teraupetik, role play komunikasi dan pelaksanaan post test. Hasil dari 50 perawat yang mengikuti kegiatan didapatkan hasil terdapat peningkatan pemahaman tentang komunikasin efektif (p=0.001). Rekomendasi selanjutnya diharapkan dalam dilaksanakn pelatihan komunikasi seacra berkala khususnya masuk dalam program orientasi peawat baru.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transition from childhood to adulthood that involves changes in physical and psychological aspects. Keeping healthy reproductive is very important, especially for adolescents, Lack of education on reproductive health will trigger health problems like pregnancy at a young age and abortion in adolescent girls. This community service activity is to increase adolescent knowledge about the growth and development of adolescents in general and also to increase knowledge about reproductive health for boys and girls with the health education method and also using the pretest, post-test, online reproductive health education, and question-and-answer method with a total of 118 teenagers attending. The results from this activity from the pretest and posttest showed an increase in the change in value seen from the pretest and posttest scores by 10 points, from a value of 80 to 90. The increasing score indicates the increasing cognitive abilities of participants and they understand the topic given. This Community Service went smoothly starting from preparation, during the webinar, and during questions and answer sessions. At the end of the activity, participants can explain again the information that had been given by the Community Service team such as the stages of adolescent development and growth, and knowing the health reproduction in adolescents. Furthermore, hopes that this Community Service activity can be sustainable by taking up new topics related to reproductive health in couples of childbearing age.

Abstract

Abstrak Hipertensi adalah penyakit yang dapat menyebabkan kematian secara mendadak. Masalah hipertensi telah banyak menjadi momok yang menakutkan baik di Indonesia maupun diseluruh dunia. Kasus hipertensi dikalangan masyarakan mulai dari gejala ringan, sedang dan medium belum menjadi prioritas utama dalam pelayanan Kesehatan. Gangguan dan gejala hipertensi baru dapat diketahui berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan dari pasien yang inisiatif memeriksakan kesehatan, karena ditandai dengan pusing yang berkepanjangan dan merasa posisi keseimbangan tubuh tidak stabil. Tujuan dari kegiatan upaya pencegahan hipertensi pada peserta umum melalui nutrisi tombong kelapa adalah bagian dari target edukasi hipertensi dan preventif pada ibu hamil melalui tombong kelapa di Puskesmas Binong. Metode kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah penyuluhan dan edukasi, serta pengecekan tekanan darah. Hasil yang didapatkan dari edukasi dan penyuluhan pencegahan hipertensi pada peserta umum melalui nutrisi tombong kelapa, ditinjau dari rentang usia remaja akhir 17-25 tahun, yaitu 21.43%, masa dewasa awal 26-35 tahun berkisar 28,57%, masa dewasa akhir 36-45 tahun mencapai 35.71%, dan masa lansia awal 46-55 tahun sekitar 14.29%, serta memiliki tekanan sistol dan diastol representatif tergolong rendah, dimana kisarannya antara 100/70 mmHg. Kesimpulan: peranan promosi kesehatan tentang edukasi dan penyuluhan hipertensi rentang usia pada masyarakat umum menjadi bagian yang terpenting dampak mencegah dampak dari adanya hipertensi. Abstract

Abstrak Hipertensi adalah kondisi terjadi peningkatan tekanan darah pada dinding pembuluh darah arteri secara kronis atau akut. Kejadian hipertensi pada kesehatan tubuh akan memacu jantung bekerja lebih keras mengedarkan darah ke seluruh tubuh melalui pembuluh darah. Berkaitan dengan tekanan darah yang meningkat akibat hipertensi dapat menimbulkan bahaya kesehatan pada penderita. Tujuan kegiatan edukasi hipertensi ibu menyusui merupakan bagian dari edukasi dampak hipertensi ibu hamil dan preventif melalui nutrisi tombong kelapa di Puskesmas Binong Metode kegiatan yang digunakan adalah edukasi dan sosialisasi. Data yang diperoleh dari edukasi hipertensi ibu menyusui menunjukkan adanya gejala peningkatan hipertensi dari representatif tekanan sistol dan diastole, yaitu 120/80 mmHg dan 120/90 mmHg. Gejala hipertensi pada peserta dipengaruhi oleh pola hidup tidak sehat, seperti konsumsi garam berlebih dan penggunaan mie instan sebagai konsumsi harian dipadukan dengan nasi. Disamping itu, kategori usia peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan diperoleh, yaitu masa remaja akhir dengan kisaran 21,33 adalah 17-25 tahun (3 orang) dan masa dewasa awal berkisar 29.71, yaitu 26-35 tahun (10 orang). Kesimpulan: tekanan sistol dan diastol peserta menunjukkan adanya gejala hipertensi, dan rentang usia ibu menyusui berada di masa dewasa awal. Kata kunci: hipertensi, menyusui, usia, sistol, diastol

Abstract

Nursing is one of the supporting components with the most extensive composition in a hospital, where around 40-60% of health professionals in hospital are nurses. This places nurses as one determining factor in measuring the quality of health services in a hospital. To provide service quality, nurses need to develop themselves by increasing skills, cooperation, and guidance from leader management. Guidance and mentoring are essential to improve nurses' competence and performance. Coaching can be a strategy to achieve management functions through guidance, namely the function of direction and controlling. This PKM aimed to train supervisory nurses to be able to do coaching techniques to nursing staff in their ward. The method includes presentation about coaching materials and coaching session practice (role play). Pre- and post-evaluation were conducted to measure participants’ level of understanding. Workshop was held for partipants to practiced coaching sessions using IGROW technique. Results obtained from eleven participants showed a significant increase in knowledge before and after learning (p=0.003). This PkM recommends the implementation of continuous coaching as well as evaluating the effectiveness of coaching by measuring the level of satisfaction of nursing staff before and after implementation of coaching session.

Abstract

Nurses are medical personnel who provide nursing care to patients. Nurses need extra energy in doing work, so they are prone to fatigue. The data of unstructured interviews revealed that eight out of ten nurses experienced work fatigue.These nurses found it to be easily anxious, angry, and difficult to concentrate. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between age, gender, years of service, work shifts, nutritional status, and health conditions with feelings of work fatigue in inpatient nurses. The study used a descriptive quantitative method with a population of 70 inpatient nurses. Total sampling technique was utilized, resulting in 70 respondents. The research has indeed considered and passed the research ethics. The study used a standardized questionnaire to measure the feelings of work fatigue. Based on the chi-square statistical test, it was found that there was no relationship between gender, length of work, work shifts and health conditions with feelings of work fatigue, where the p-value of each factor was > 0.05. While the statistical test for age and nutritional status factors using the Spearman Rank correlation test showed that there was no relationship between age and feelings of work fatigue, with a value of significance 0.682 > 0.05. Furthermore, there was a relationship between nutritional status and feelings of work fatigue, with a value of significance 0.025 < 0.05. Qualitative research needs to be carried out further to be able to see in more detail the factors that influence feelings of burnout. BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK Perawat merupakan tenaga medis yang memberikan asuhan keperawatan kepada pasien. Perawat membutuhkan tenaga ekstra dan maksimal dalam melakukan pekerjaan, sehingga rentan menimbulkan kelelahan. Hasil wawancara tidak terstruktur diperoleh data yaitu delapan dari sepuluh perawat mengalami kelelahan kerja, perawat-perawat tersebut merasa sulit berkonsentrasi, mudah cemas, dan mudah marah. Tujuan penelitian ini ingin mengetahui hubungan antara faktor usia, jenis kelamin, masa kerja, shiftkerja, status gizi dan kondisi kesehatan dengan perasaan kelelahan kerja perawat rawat inap. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan populasi 70 responden perawat rawat inap, menggunakan teknik sampling total sampling sehingga responden sebanyak 70 responden. Penelitian memperhatikan etik-etik penelitian dan telah lolos etik . Penelitian menggunakan kuesioner baku alat ukur perasaan kelelahan kerja. Berdasarkan uji statistik chisquare didapatkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara jenis kelamin, masa kerja, shiftkerja dan kondisi kesehatan dengan perasaan kelelahan kerja, dimana nilai p-valuemasing-masing faktor > 0,05. Sedangkan uji statistik untuk faktor usia dan status gizi menggunakan uji korelasi RankSpearman diperoleh hasil tidak terdapat hubungan antara umur dengan perasaan kelelahan kerja diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,682 > 0,05 dan adanya hubungan status gizi dengan perasaan kelelahan kerja diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,025 < 0,05. Penelitian kualitatif perlu dilakukan lebih lanjut untuk bisa melihat lebih detail faktor yang memengaruhi perasaan  kelelahan kerja.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Stroke is a cerebrovascular disease that causes sudden death. The blockage causes a lack of oxygen supply which can cause rupture of the arteries to the brain and death of the cells. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected stroke care through various aspects, many of which are associated with neurological symptoms and complications that occur due to delays in treatment. Therefore, the application of telerehabilitation can help support and care for patients with stroke by reducing the risk of transmission of COVID-19. Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyse the application of telerehabilitation to post-stroke patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: The research method is in the form of a literature study with literature search using an online database, namely PubMed, Medline, and Google scholar with a range year of 2019 to 2021. The number of articles found was 889 articles with four papers that met the inclusion criteria. Results: The results of this study indicate that telerehabilitation is effective for stroke patients, but providing telerehabilitation must pay attention to the patient's and family's ability to use digital technology, the ability to understand rehabilitation programs, and also various aspects such as functional status: direct motor skills involving the upper extremities, balance, cardiorespiratory fitness, cognitive function, and the level of acceptance and eligibility of teletherapy by users (patients/families) at home so that the therapy program can run optimally. Conclusion: Telerehabilitation is effectively implemented in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic because it can provide support and help patients, families, and health services in providing care for stroke patients while reducing the risk of transmission of COVID-19. Results: The results of this study indicate that telerehabilitation is effective for stroke patients, but providing telerehabilitation must pay attention to the patient's and family's ability to use digital technology, the ability to understand rehabilitation programs, and also various aspects such as functional status: direct motor skills involving the upper extremities, balance, cardiorespiratory fitness, cognitive function, and the level of acceptance and eligibility of teletherapy by users (patients/families) at home so that the therapy program can run optimally.
